  1. Feels like we have been chasing lost points all dang year. This, I’m pretty sure I have an ulcer. If Crawford just lifts his hands in the air instead of putting them on the back of that defender, he likely doesn’t get flagged. Banks hold was BS. Worthy is just slight and has a hard time covering the football. If the defense holds up, we’ll get home eventually.
  2. I couldn’t buy a bowel yesterday, but am lighting up the board this morning. Good coffee.
  3. JW was also open on the play. Hopefully Quinn will start taking those free yards instead of forcing some of the 50/50 balls. Letting JW go to work over the middle can open up so much other stuff.
  4. Spoken like someone who probably played WR in high school. Kidding, a little. I love me some AD, but Brooks was the consistent force on this offense, willing to stick his nose in there to get tough yards, block, etc. Had really become a leader. We are going to miss him. But, next man up.
  5. I have a bad feeling about this game, especially with who I consider the heart and soul of this offense out for the season. JW has to become a part of this offense again. He is such a weapon. Where are the jet sweep type plays to him? He’s can also make tough contested catches. Showing an empty set and motioning him to the backfield as a RB could cause problems for defenses as well. He’s a guy who can get tough yards.
  6. I’m starting to really dislike 2nd half Sark. 1st half Sark is decent.
  7. JW deserves some targets this half. He saved us on that INT. Use him please Sark.
  8. Anybody else jealous watching other teams in the conf blow out sub-par opponents like they are suppose to? Just me?
  9. Still can’t believe we let that weak OU team beat us in Dallas. SMHF.
  10. Texas has yet to go nuclear on any opponent this year. I’m talking scorched earth. Will it happen in any of the next three games? I feel like the potential is there, but it’s like we just can’t sustain great execution for very long.
  11. Sark is reaping what he sowed in the 1st half by not taking the points.
  12. Sark, you see how hard we are trying not to give up three points here at the end of the half? Can we please have that same urgency on offense when three points is there for the taking?
  13. It’s almost like Sark doesn’t like living in Austin. Securing wins earlier in games doesn’t seem to be a concern for him.
  14. Sark is a good coach about 80% of the time. The other 20% he’s doing what he can to keep the other team in the game. I don’t know if it’s pride or panic, but situational awareness seems to elude him at some point in every game. I still like him.
  15. That 1st down play-action play all in the red zone felt like the fake field goal call last week. Momentum changer. Thankfully Slovis is pretty much a statue.
  16. Sark just goes into a coma at some point every game. What was that call? Brooks is so dialed in. Feed him. Stop trying to be cute.
  17. That freaking finish by Brooks on that TD making me proud to be a Longhorn.
  18. Regardless of who is taking the snaps, the greatest concern right now is that this team and staff as a whole has looked underwhelming the last two weeks. Murphy can’t fix all those things, but if he can find ways to extend plays and move the chains, hopefully he can keep our banged up defense off the field and rested. Whittington has to be a bigger part of the offense, especially on 3rd downs and inside the 20.
  19. I honestly thought we had a good defense through four or five games. I was wrong. This secondary still can’t cover.
  20. Seems like Whittington has disappeared from the offensive game plan. That is disappointing.
  21. Hopefully Sark lets Brooks get loose for about 250 today. Just smash ‘em. Make Houston tackle. Make them fight off big humans all game. Don’t give them any easy stuff.
  22. You either embrace and practice humility or it will likely be forced upon you.
  23. I love Quinn and think that he is plenty capable of getting us to the conf title game if our defense gets back to form . . . . but I do really miss having a true dual-threat QB. Gabriel’s 113 yards rushing were killers today. When protection breaks down, having some explosiveness with those first four or five steps is so crucial to extending plays or tucking it to move the chains. Our big D-linemen were just a hair too slow to get their hands on him today and Quinn was a hair too slow to escape. That said, convert from the 1-yd line in four tries and don’t run into the punter and it’s all moot.
