  1. Would be nice to open the 3rd quarter with a 14 play drive that takes 6 minutes, instead of going 3 and out or turning it over immediately. also, watch for funny-business on the opening kick-off.
  2. Texas is way overdue to go scorched earth in an opponent . . . a game where wide-open receivers are hit in stride, penalties don’t kill drives and the defense is suffocating. It’s time.
  3. These announcers . . . then Sam Acho . . . why am I subjecting myself to this?
  4. I’m pretty confident we’ll be up by 14-17 points late in the 2nd quarter, early 3rd qtr. . .
  5. It’s like a bunch of imposters and a different coach come out of the locker room after half.
  6. I think hunting the big play in 2nd halves instead of just moving the chains has hurt us some. Seems like in a lot of those collapses, there were drives where we threw deep unsuccessfully on 1st and 2nd down. Sark usually has a great initial game plan, but once teams adjust, it seems we have no counter in certain games. Georgia moved the chains with their back-up qb, nothing flashy. Did just enough. Of course, they established their run game, which helped. I’d like to see Sark use some wrinkles in the run game early in 2nd halves to break the will of opponents. Almost happened against aggie until the stupid INT.
  7. I love Sark, but to add to your stats, the trend shows that we can count on about 3-4 2nd half collapses per season. We survived them the last two seasons for the most part. 2021 OU: led 38-20 at half. Lost 55-48 OkSt: led 24-13 3rd qtr. lost 32-24 BU: led 21-10 3rd qtr. lost 31-24 2022 Tech: Led 31-17 3rd qtr. lost 37-34 OkSt: Led 31-17 at half. lost 41-34 KSU: Led 31-10 at half. won 34-27 2023 Hou: led 21-0 2nd qtr. won 31-24 KSU: led 27-7 3rd qtr. won 33-30 TCU: led 26-6 at half. won 29-26 2024 Vandy: led 21-7, squeaked by 27-24 Arky: led 13-0. Held on 20-10. Kentucky: not quite, but almost made the list. aggie: 17-0 at half. Tried to hand it to them. 17-7 UGA: completed dominated for two quarters and had nothing to show for it 6-3 at half time. lost 22-19 (didn’t build a big enough cushion)
  8. Agree. It’s what happens at half-time that concerns me.
  9. Yeah, I’m pretty confident we’ll be up by 14-17 points late in the 2nd quarter, early 3rd qtr. . .
  10. It’s funny. If Quinn makes the throw to Wingo when he has 2 steps on the DB instead of underthrowing and getting the PI, it’s a whole different conversation today. That one throw would have changed the entire narrative and we’d be champs. He has to make those throws in the playoffs for us to make a run.
  11. This is the aggiest thing ever written.
  12. If you can’t score points with short fields you have no margin for error. This is pretty embarrassing.
  13. Another game where we are basically dominating and can’t get separation.
  14. Same and signed by Mr. Williams.
  15. Fair, but the team Beard betrayed was kinda fun to watch at times.
  16. Oof, this is a hard brand of basketball to watch. If it wasn’t for the burnt orange jerseys, I wouldn’t subject myself to watching this mess. The off-ball movement is so poor. Four guys watching one guy dribble. Nobody cutting to the basket. Ugly.
  17. James Brown beat the Aggies on a bad ankle with a conference title on the line. Quinn’s turn.
  18. I can’t recall good Texas teams that were unable to capitalize on great defensive performances and bury teams like these Sark teams. And I really really like Sark. Just a very concerning trend.
  19. Ought to be up 21-0 on these jokers already.
  20. Flood + Veteran Oline = whiffing on basic stunts and blitzes. How is that a thing? Coach ‘em up or get smarter guys in there. Geez.
  21. I’m sure we’re all frustrated to have such a great defense but still struggle to put teams away because our “juggernaut” offense with a seasoned QB still has not taken form. I do wonder if the title Sark was a part of with Bama made him a little stubborn since they were able to win with a statue playing QB. Of the top 11 offenses in CFB, all but two of them have effective runners at QB. Whether they are more decisive and elusive when things break down or if the QB run game is a staple of their offense, it’s pretty clear that mobile QBs keep the chains moving. Seems like incorporating a sprinkle of QB run into the scheme or at least encouraging the QB to go grab 5 or 10 yards when it’s there could help significantly. I do hope when Arch is the starter that Sark uses his legs to keep defenses honest. These A-gap blitzes we keep seeing would decrease if teams knew the QB was prone to pull the read and run off-tackle.
  22. Beamer and the offensive staff is keeping aggsy in this game. Could have easily used a whole extra 90 seconds on that drive.
  23. QB delay lead draw. Let those ends get up field and let Rocket lead the QB through the hole.
