  1. Two Texas rebounds and two fouls on TCU to open the half. Things are looking up!
  2. If the refs aren’t going to call all of the shoves in the backs on rebounds and the hacks, we might as well start throwing an elbow or two to get their attention.
  3. This is just stinky. No rebounding. Not defending. Careless with ball. Not finishing. Not getting any calls around the basket. Yuck. Please run the offense through Rice on every possession.
  4. Feels like the TCU game in football this year. Defense held most of the night, even scored a TD, only to see our offense have the worst night of the season. Hate to see such a well-pitched 8 innings get possibly wasted by walks at the end. Need some good fortune here!
  5. So, odds of LBJ ending up in the weekend rotation?
  6. Portland working on a sweep of aggsy tomorrow.
  7. Stopped watching the hoops game cuz Horns have been outscored 51-24 since having an 18-4 lead early. I think I make them nervous when I watch.
  8. Ought to be 2-0, had Pierce bunted him over with no outs. Oh well.
  9. Porter Brown, you gorgeous-eyed beautiful man! Yessir!!!!!!
  10. Last year’s team was the first in a while that I felt would hold their own in a physical altercation with another team. Melendez, Hodo, big sucker that played third, Ardoin, even Faltine all seemed to have some dog in ‘em. How we feel about this team in a scrape?
  11. I mean, we have struck some balls pretty well. The base-running mistakes are such killers, especially for a team that is already going to struggle offensively. Is Obanon ever going to make an appearance in relief?
  12. How many freaking no out base-runners are we going to waste tonight? Ugh.
  13. I was about to nickname him Chubby Cheeks, but then he showed some athleticism on the double play. So, I will hold off an any petty monikers.
  14. Is O’Dowd slow or is it just my TV?
  15. Empty possessions at the end of the game in Lubbock and now back in Austin. Great teams close games with guard play. We still lack guard play apparently.
  16. So, do we know how the infield is shaping up? 1st, 3rd and SS? I assume a freshman and a transfer will likely be in two of those spots?
  17. Turnovers were everything . . . and at least two offensive possessions completely stolen by blindness on opposite baselines. One off of Dick and one Rice didn’t touch after contacting the boundary.
  18. Rice is a silencer man, the closer. The deafening silence of the crowd when that last attempted three fell short was delicious.
  19. Love the fight. Such a gritty win against a TOUGH squad in their own gym. Not only are these wins resume builders but they start to shape a team and give them the substance they need to make a run in the tourney. To miss all of those layups, throw up a bunch of bricks in the first half and then flip the switch at half time to pull it out develops resolve in a team. More 2nd half version of Bishop please.
  20. The foul they just called on Cunningham? What are they seeing? Didn’t even make a play on the ball.
  21. How many layups we miss already? 5-6? Can’t win doing that. The refs deciding to stop calling fouls on kstate doesn’t help.
  22. Pulling for the Jayhawks tomorrow is going to feel kinda creepy.
  23. Don’t get me wrong. I like this team. A lot of talent and heart. But, we got bounced from the tourney with Beard last year because our “bigs” were light in the ass. Our bigs are still light in the ass and get pushed around by physical teams. We are able to overcome it at times with good shooting and/or Marcus Carr putting up a crazy number. But, when teams are getting 2nd and 3rd chances on possessions on the regular because they are clearing us out of the lane when the ball goes up, the lack of big bodies is pretty obvious. Big teams are going to get us into foul trouble in the tourney.
  24. We need true big man so bad. We have no answer for the really physical teams, especially the ones that are good at getting to the front of the rim.
