I’ve done deals with several of them. They are slippery and evasive mother fuckers. Everything is a leverage, ego, resource or asset grab and even when they are being charitable (in business dealings) they are still slippery, evasive, ego driven and looking to control resources and assets.

there’s nothing to worship or revere, they are maniacal assholes. And the ones that openly aspire to be billionaires are worse.

I’ve worked with more $20-50-100+ millionaires than I can count. At the lower end of that they are different but not the same. Often out of touch - beyond financial security - they have lost track of much of what worries normal people but they are not a virus like billionaires.

there is not one redeeming quality to the billionaires I’ve met. They are loathsome humans. If I had that money I would give it away, now. There is no reason to need more money than you can spend. Once you move into buying influence like musk can do it’s more money than you should legally be allowed to have.

For some odd coincidence, i have the cell phone/office number of two billionaires in my business contacts.  One of them I haven't met more than once in person and can't base a fair opinion on.  The other is notorious for being very friendly, known for his philanthropy and has built a very successful business (no shit).  He seems quite the opposite of a loathsome human.

My great-uncle reached billionaire status shortly before he died, somewhere in his mid 90's I think.  He had more redeeming qualities than one could keep track of.  He was known and friends with world leaders.  His philanthropy reached levels that I didn't even hear about.  His surviving son and daughter did not receive more than a pittance of an inheritance, as he donated almost all of his wealth to churches, Universities (both academic and athletic scholarships in the dozens) as well as writing over his vast art collection to galleries and as property of the State that he resided. Even in my group of friends, they all would say that he was one of the most humble and entertaining people that they'd ever met.  And upon his death, I simply inherited a shotgun and a small, token amount of Indian turquoise jewelry that I had an appreciation for their craftsmanship.

Not ALL billionaires are fucking treacherous scum as you say.

they are smart, they are our neighbors (and family members), and they want people to suffer. it's pretty clear.

Nope, citizens that don't line up with your politics don't want people to suffer.  You're just being obtuse.  They're tired of the can being kicked down the road, again, and hoping that something can be done to lessen the blow when the bill is due.  You seem to be rather easily swayed by the MSM talking points, yourself, I think. MSNBC/FOX NEWS, they're on opposite ends of the same rope, meant to stir up frenzies.  A majority of the population doesn't give a flying fuck about what they talk about and browbeat.  That's the part of the population you're painting with a firehose, not just a broad brush.

Dems need to fight. I mean, literally fight. Shout him down as a fascist. When security comes to take you out…fight them. Make them hit you, and make you bleed. Be dragged out with blood on your face. Make them get violent in full view of the world.
Attack them. Physically. Show up at their offices. Assault them verbally, not pausing for breath. Terrorize them wherever they go.
We have a soft peacetime opposition party. We need a wartime party. We need Churchill, and some pipe-hittin’ motherfuckers.

This reads as if it's from someone that's never been in a fist fight before.....but, go for it.

The story of him getting recruited (or compromised) by the KGB in the 1980s has been around forever. I guess the only new thing is this dude posting about it.

Given his peculiar pro-Putin proclivities, I have no reason to doubt it, though.

the only other reason to doubt it being that it's 45,000 % bullshit, nope, no reason to doubt it.

And this is in no way an indictment of me being pro-Russian.  It's simply not believing one god damned silly as fuck thing that Russia ever says.

This is as good a thread as any for this:

Former Intelligence Officer Claims KGB Recruited Trump

Alnur Mussayev, 71, a former head of intelligence in Kazakhstan and before that a Soviet KGB officer, made the explosive claim in a Facebook post on Thursday. He claimed that he served in the 6th Directorate of the KGB in Moscow, which was responsible for counter-intelligence support within the economy. One of its key objectives, he claimed, was “recruiting businessmen from capitalist countries.”

    ...

Mussayev wrote that in 1987 “our directorate recruited Donald Trump, a 40-year-old American businessman, under the pseudonym Krasnov.” He offered no corroborating evidence, but is a well-known former senior intelligence agent. The Daily Beast has reached out to him for comment.

In his Facebook post, he said that his department specialized in recruiting spies and intelligence sources from the West, asserting once again that Trump had been brought into the fold.

He made another shocking allegation in another comment, saying: “Today, the personal file of resident ‘Krasnov’ has been removed from the FSB. It is being privately managed by one of Putin’s close associates.”

I've been told that only ultra-right knuckedraggers believe these dumb as fuck conspiracies...

I think after yesterday's occurrence, Nancy merits her own thread. I struggled with this thread title. Earlier in the week, somebody mentioned that Nancy was perhaps showing signs of mental illness. She's definitely gone deep into the MTG/Boobert "crazy" playbook. Then, yesterday, in Congress she unloads for nearly an hour about surviving sexual assault at the hands of her former fiance and supposedly others.

Is Patrick Bryant the one who Nancy Mace said to a prayer breakfast was trying to coax her into morning sex before that meeting?

    Crazy, sure. SA survivor, maybe....

It's almost like all of you silly hypocrites didn't REALLY stand behind your "believe all women" mantra....

  10. I can hardly work in MS Paint.  But, my wife is a professional graphic editor.

I showed her some of the commitment edits Fawcett does, and she LOL'd over them.  Said it couldn't take 10 minutes to work one up better than his best work.

Considering that she still has no idea in the difference b/t OL and DL, I doubt she's interested in stealing his business model.  Plus, her Instagram page has about 10 connections, so ON3 may not be dropping bags of $ at our door....

Yeah, it's in one of their songs or cheers. Life in College Station, Texas must have been boring as shit around 1900. Those idiots came up with things I would have to be delirious  to even imagine. That they enshrined them as traditions, well...

"Jim Bob, hurry up and change the dead dog scoreboard! Reveille can't keep up!"

Even my fraternity "song" isn't as embarrassing as that fight song.  And the fraternity song was 3 degrees past nauseating...
