Gotta win to get the recruits, but gotta get the recruits to win.

In some ways, the ceiling for the Class of 24 is already set. Getting to 9 or 10 wins last year would have helped with a few of these recruitments. Beating Alabama and/or getting to the Big 12 CG would have been huge. We have to hope most of our targets are willing to wait until after the season before committing to someone else. For some, it's already too late.

Winning 10 games AND winning the Big 12 CG are necessary to get the Class of 25 we all hope for.

Was this cut and pasted from TexAgs?

  2. "I loved our rivalry with Texas, but the toxicity that all the SWC had to deal with at the time from UT made football not very fun at times. "How?" you ask. I wish I could explain it to you but I can't."

Same ol' story, whether it's this inbred or aggies...

I think the difference is you are talking in extremes. Majors isnt terrible. He is not great either. There are 5 positions on the OL. Last season the 2 biggest problems were at Guard. Majors struggles vs larger NTs in the run game. He has never seemed to develop that strong base. He is good on the move and I dont recall many issues in pass pro. He knows his assignments and is generally mediocre. In a perfect world Texas would replace him, but that is not reality. Texas needs to fix the guard positions first. You have not seen Flood throw bodies at the center position, because he is throwing a lot of young talent at guard right now. If Guard was solidified, you might have seen Campbell or Neto at center.

I used to have a co-worker who graduated from Tech, and he summed all of this up perfectly: Texas and Oklahoma are the Big Brother and his Cool Friend/Enemy.  aggy is the Middle Brother who desperately wants Big Brother's attention and will follow him around and act a fool trying to get it.  Tech is the Youngest Brother who does the same with Middle Brother, but mainly just likes to piss them all off.

Just spent your time island-hopping all over the world, literally and figuratively. Spend some summers in Iceland, others in Ushuaia. Falls in Tokyo and Amsterdam. Springs in Chicago and Auckland. No more than 2-4 months in the same place. Etc., etc.

Where do you go when the sun engulfs the earth in about 7.5 billion years?

Looks like the pilot ejected and floated down into the fireball. Terrible way to go.

    From comments:

Spain’s public news agency EFE said the F-18 was training for a flying exhibition when the crash occurred. The Guardia Civil told The Associated Press that one of its patrols was the first to reach the pilot, who fell outside the exterior fence surrounding the airbase. According to the Guardia Civil, the pilot suffered injuries to his legs, apparently because he ejected with a parachute from a low altitude. He was evacuated to hospital in a helicopter. The Guardia Civil said it would collaborate with the military in investigating the crash. It said that the initial information provided by the pilot was that the plane had apparently suffered a malfunction.

Yes - I was told to shout out “crapper” prior to flushing, as the shitty barracks/dorms hot water would leave upon flushing! F’ng aggy and their Soviet Era plumbing!

    Hook’em!!!

Not gonna lie. We had to yell "flushing" if someone was taking a shower at Moore-Hill aka The Hilton.
