  1. Don’t threaten to ban that clown then do absolutely nothing. I told you I’m not accepting direct payment from him because I don’t want him having access to my information because the guy is unhinged. You said you’d ban him until he paid YOU. I don’t care about $200. I’ll fucking donate it to Surly. I care about your word. You might want to revisit that thread.
  2. I’m not worried about tOSU. I’m worried about our current position of 7 and moving to 4. It was foreshadowing and is absolutely relevant.
  3. Don’t get involved in bet posts anymore. You’ve shown you’ll do nothing to collect on a welcher despite ban threats to the contrary.
  4. I’ll also bet @jimmyjazzany amount he wants that if Bama wins, they’re in, regardless of anything else that occurs.
  5. If one loses, not both, and you provide the right parameters, and lower the amount, I’ll absolutely take that bet
  6. I’d say half the media thinks exactly that, and a quarter of the posters here do. And, I’ll bet you too under the right parameters.
  7. I would have zero problem going ahead of FSU. Fuck any school not Texas. Neither Texas nor FSU created this shitshow system and I would have no shame.
  8. Totally agreed. The tOSU ranking is a big big deal being willfully ignored by posters here.
  9. Doesn’t much matter what I think. I absolutely know the committee will have Bama jump us and probably to the 2 spot. Like it’s not even a question they will be in. If that’s so funny, @jimmyjazz, lay money down. Offer me a bet.
  10. The odds of us getting in over UGA are slim and I put money on it (and I’d say very slim to the point of infinitesimal). But, they’re not joking. They are resolute in their absolutism. It’s baffling.
  11. This time I really really really mean it. Not only will this not happen (SEC ain’t getting left out), but I also don’t personally agree with it.
  12. Fair point, and I made a mistake by saying “if FSU holds serve”. But in this scenario, Michigan is definitely in. Oregon is definitely in. Yeah, I think in event of a close Ga loss, Bama and UGA both go and FSU gets left out. I’m not certain we are ever really serious part of the discussion behind the scenes. Of course a lot of this depends on performance but with a blowout of OSU, and close uninspiring FSU win, maybe we become a serious part of discussion but we are the odd teams out. It takes FSU losing for us to have ANY shot. IF they lose, Bama winning only hurts us by increasing the number of real competitors from 4 (I’m excluding tOSU), where we are likely in at #4, to 5 (again excluding tOSU), and that 5th is the most dominant team in CFP generation. Thus, it’s stupid to root for Bama at 3 pm.
  13. I’m done arguing with you dude. I even hope you’re 100% right on UGA not making it with a 3 point loss to Bama, and I pay you $100. Because that will mean we make it. But you’re extremely incapable of rational conversation. I’m not even saying you’re wrong. I’m saying I don’t know, versus your irreverent cockdaddy attitude. It’s tiresome. We are on the same team.
  14. No, they’ll be in as one of 3 or 4 remaining undefeateds. The fact that you of all people are using an eye test argument is hilariously ironic.
  15. There’s never been a year like this. Hence this talk and argument. I’m not overly concerned with UW losing - mainly because I think Oregon will crush them, and the PAC 12 doesn’t have the cachet that the SEC does. But I’m slightly concerned with a “they’re 1-1 on the season” narrative there. If UGA loses a close one, and FSU and Mich hold serve, you can bet your ass every bit of precedence in the last decade will be debated and challenged. You’re speaking as if UGA being left out is a foregone conclusion, and you’re 100% wrong. This is EXACTLY the year they change that. And rules? There are no rules.
  16. Disagree that the possibility doesn’t exist (as does like every media member), and I have a bet with a repetitive copy/paste jackass under certain parameters. That is absolutely the goal.
  17. There are a litany of posters here that take the committee’s guidelines as gospel, ignoring the word guidelines. There will be an SEC champ in. That’s indisputable. There will be a PAC 12 champ in. That’s indisputable. I’d rather not open the possibility of multiple teams from either conference getting in. That’s what could very easily happen with chaos, combined with a lackluster performance by us at 11 AM Saturday. The committee’s job is to put the best 4 teams in. Period. Posters have said the media doesn’t decide. The committee does, and of course this is correct, but the committee isn’t an infallible robot. It’s comprised of people no more intelligent than Rece Davis, Joey Galloway and Bohls. If we beat OSU the way we beat KSU or the way OSU beat BYU, and there’s a very tight SEC game with Bama winning, that’s a terrible scenario for us. If UW loses in triple OT, that’s a terrible scenario for us. This is really simple, root for Louisville, UGA, and UW in order of importance. I agree that tOSU sitting there isn’t an issue - if we look good. The fact that the committee should tell us everything we need to know about how they’ll operate.
  18. This plus Georgia win is the only way to root. It is mindnumbing and ludicrous that posters not only disagree with this but also are ridiculing others for having the most logical take.
  19. The family in the car crash last Wednesday that Gordo talked about on Muse are friends. Wife went to UT. Husband went to TCU and actually played football there for a year under Fran. Shocking when people you know are in major regional news reports. Terrible, heartbreaking story.
  20. If Louisville and Iowa both win and all other favorites win, it’ll go 1. UGA 2. Oregon 3. Texas 4. UW/UM depending on results of their games.
  21. Bills and Chargers are perpetually overrated and coached by frauds.
  22. Lock up the thread. The criteria (mere guidelines) have been cited. Discussion over.
  23. I think we’d have to get lucky with that much chaos. What about my stance do you not understand?
  24. I think all are possibilities. With UW and UGA winning, you eliminate the number of contenders. It is basic logic.
  25. UM, Bama, Oregon in for sure. Then it’s a toss up with, depending on the outcomes, UGA, Texas, UW, and tOSU, in that order. Yes. tOSU won their CCG 59-0 over a Wisconsin team that was about as good as OU this year. Totally changed the narrative. TCU and Baylor cancelled each other out, some other shit happened and both were out. If you recall the B12 didn’t have a CCG at that point. That TCU team was much more talented than last year’s.
