Although the state of comedy these days is so bad it doesn’t matter.
Really? We’ve literally been in a new golden age of standup the past decade or so.

I don't get the Chevy hate at all. He was funny on this show. Even if he didn't exactly get the show when he was on it or get along with Harmon, Pierce's character was great and the show suffered after he left.
I'll definitely watch this, but I hope they're doing it because they actually have a good, funny idea that adds to the overall experience of the show and aren't just doing it to fulfill some 10-year-old meme. You could trim the last three seasons down to 1 season's worth of episodes that are actually worth watching.

Ok, for the times - this half-assed situation that i think a lot of companies/employees are in where leadership really wants the drones to come in and sit at their desks but they either know they'll lose everyone or are just afraid of what will happen if they say that we're done with wfh.
First off, peeve number one - if leadership wants people in the building they should fucking sack up and say why. Have you seen a drop in productivity? Is there data that indicates that remote work is harming the company? "You just can't recreate face to face interaction on a Teams call" ok and what? That means almost nothing at all and should be a team level thing anyways. If you can't say why you want people at their desks it's probably bullshit.
But now we're in this weird fucking mode where people are trying to enforce X days a week in office but it's hit or miss and people are kinda doing their own thing and you have this increasingly mixed on-site/remote stuff that is worse than 100% remote. Drove in today for a feature planning meeting because as the organizer I suppose I should be there. Nobody else there, so I'm sitting in a small conference room running it on my shitty little laptop screen with the lights shutting off every 15 minutes instead of at my complete setup in my home office.
Damn, I forgot the most obvious one here. Having to come back to the office at all.
Our company’s upper mgmt was going on about how we need to come back to make sure we’re all functioning better as a team. Besides my direct boss, everyone I interact with is via email and is spread out in our regional offices around the country as well as on other continents. It’s complete bullshit. Then they go on about how they are going to bring us in food more and have more fun things go on around the office as if that’s going to make us happy to come back. They are upgrading the office space to make it more relaxing and comfortable. Hey, you where it’s relaxing and comfortable to do my job? That place I don’t have to dress up and drive 45 minutes to every day — my office bedroom.

People who ask for read receipts on their emails. I’m always going to say no.
People who spell others’ names wrong in emails. It’s lazy. Everyone’s name is spelled out for you in their email address. Stop being lazy.
People who plop down in the stall and shit right next to you. There are four bathrooms accessible to our floor. Find another one or come back in five. I’ll be out in a few minutes. Let me shit in peace.

Agreed and going along with this, if you schedule a weekly meeting for say 8am... start at 8am... don't wait for the serial offenders to show, don't care what their titles are. If you don't plan to start until 8:15am... don't set the meeting for 8am, set it for 8:15am
Sure, fair point. But also don’t start meetings at 8:00 am or the start of the day before I’ve had time to come in and check my email and get settled in.-

The MFer clip must be going viral enough to reach some conservative bubbles because I’ve already seen one of my usual conservative dipshit friends posting a Beto meme about his youth arrests on Facebook.
Part of me really wants to publicly remind him that we were close friends in high school through our early twenties. I’ve seen him drink and drive. I’ve seen him do illegal drugs. We’ve committed some petty crimes together you fucking hypocrite. We just didn’t get caught.

Anyone else's app being glitchy with the "Continue Watching" menu?
For the past couple of months, every episode I watch of a show ends up in my continue watching queue showing only like 3 or 4 minutes being watched on the time bar at the bottom. Then it stays there instead of going away until the next weekly episode comes out. So then when new episodes ultimately do come out, they don't show up in my queue, just the old episode it's pretending I didn't already finish.
Not the biggest issue in the world since I can always go to the show page and click on the new episode, but it's annoying. Especially if a show goes on hiatus for a bit and I don't know exactly when it's coming back.

Wait…Kid Rock is in the WWE hall of fame along with Trump? Are there any actual wrestlers in this wrestling hall of fame? Or just C-list celebrities who make cameos?

While this is clearly a joke post, it does drive home the ridiculousness of the hot take suggestion that BCS is a better show than BB. When this show is said and done, it will always have a ton of holes that are only filled by your knowledge of Breaking Bad. It will always be a companion show where you need to have seen or know the events of BB in order to fully enjoy it. It'll still just be a prequel that is not a complete show with fully developed story and character arcs if you were to only watch it alone without experiencing BB first.
Breaking Bad is a standalone show that is one of the best shows of all-time, even if you never touch BCS, El Camino, or anything else Gilligan might make in the future based on this universe.

Fetus ain't got no perspective. It fetus. No think. No breathe. No care. No talk. No walk. If you like your fetus, you can keep your fetus.
You’d think that, but what you have to understand is there are apparently too many people in this country who saw “Looks Who’s Talking,” saw an embryo talking to itself, and thought they were watching a documentary.Who cares if a woman chooses to abort because it’s a medical emergency or if she just doesn’t feel ready to bring a child into this world? A fetus should have no rights, and it’s opinion doesn’t matter because it doesn’t have one. It doesn’t think, feel, or even know it exists. Good grief. It’s never going to care or regret it wasn’t born.
Unless you or your wife is the one carrying, you shouldn’t give two shits about someone else’s abortion. People need to mind their own business.

I was curious too. Wasn't this right after Texas played Bama for the national championship mostly with a backup qb? Not that the guard could have known the next 12 years...
My memory is hazy because that year was awful, but I’m pretty sure we already knew that team was terrible by the Nebraska game. Nobody expected us to win. -

It's almost like the entire purpose of this thread is discussion on posters who are banned/soon to be banned, many who aren't necessarily here anymore.

It feels like the majority of the posts I ever saw from that dude were either bitching about the CR or fucking up some non-CR thread by trying to turn it CR.

my impression was that they wound up at that spot on the floor because Gus led him there.
He did. Gus was walking in front of Lalo the entire time and led him right to the spot by the power cord a few feet away from the gun. It probably wasn't the only gun hidden on site either, but it was the one that they showed him hiding it to the audience to foreshadow what was coming.
It probably wasn't a sure thing in his mind he would get to the gun, but he knew it was there and led Lalo right to it.

I'm just a couple of episodes in but are all of these going to be just the same 15 people screaming curse words at each other for half an hour and calling each other "Chef"?

I hope this is it for the Breaking Bad World. Finish the last 6 episodes of Better Call Saul, and call it a day Gould/Gilligan.
Lightning rarely strikes twice. There's no reasoning to push it.
Nah, I wanna see a 65-year-old Giancarlo Esposito play an 18-year-old Gus transforming into a chicken & meth kingpin.

Ok, what's the fastest y'all ever driven?
I think I'm around 90 mph. Gone faster as a passenger, but the thrill of speed is wayyyyyy outweighed by the fear of death/injury.
Somewhere around 125.
I used to live in West Texas and would have to drive all over the place from town to town for work. The land was flat with little vegetation and the roads were straight. You could see unobstructed all the way to the horizon so no worrying about other traffic or cops. It was fun to see how fast you could get your car.
I've never owned anything that could approach the speeds of these two vehicles. Not sure if I would have pushed it if I had.

It’s The Office reruns just about every time I flip by it. I think they just switch between huge blocks of that and South Park. I remember reading Tosh either ended recently or is ending, so other than South Park and TDS I’m hard pressed to think of any new originals they still create.
