  1. Finished rewatching the game, 1st half last night after I got back and 2nd half today.

Third quarter was bad but overall the game was actually closer throughout than it felt like in person (guess that’s obvious for the first half 21-21). Penix was just incredible with pinpoint passes over decent coverage a number of times and just perfectly evading pressure again and again.

The final four plays leave me with a lot of what-ifs and wish we could have one or two better chances at the TD. But it was awesome to have the team fight back into that position.

We were damn close against a really good team, so the game itself I have no real regrets about except the unforced penalties. My disappointment primarily lies with the fact that the path to a national title will never be this favorable again, no matter how good of a team we are.

    I hope UW wins Monday.

I don’t really understand the uproar about DeBoer’s management of that final drive. He couldn’t kneel it out with no time left. I guess he could have maybe had Penix take the snap and run around for 3 straight plays to lose yardage and waste time, but we are talking about 15-20 seconds they needed to burn so in all likelihood you are punting anyway. The punt itself feels way more riskier than any basic HB dive with two hands on the ball. I’ve never seen a team kneel down knowing they are having to give the ball back to their opponent at the end of a game, regardless of how much time may be left.

I guess the hindsight is the injury stopping the clock but I honestly can’t recall the last time I saw that scenario play out with the injury stopping the game clock and the opposing team declining the 10-second runoff.

Had the same thought. Can’t recall a team kneeling three straight times knowing it would lead to a punt. Maybe a couple QB keepers to waste time but typically if they can’t run out the entire clock with kneel downs, teams will handoff hoping to get the clinching first down.

What was an estimated crowd split? Had a hard time gauging that from the broadcast.

I’d say 75/25 or so. Washington had their sections in the corner and that was pretty much it.

  4. Ethan Downs is the same clown who should have been flagged for taunting multiple times at the Cotton Bowl this year. I’ll give him a morsel of credit for going full heel but I wish nothing but the worst for him.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger tonight in 340.  Got a couple on the aisle for $452 each after fees.  Probably would have waited a bit more if they weren't on the aisle    I read a bit today and it seems like people that attend games regularly there prefer 200/300 level to 100 level from a view standpoint.  I think 145 will be the value section though for those looking.  I just wouldn't want to be too high up in the 100 level from what I've read. I was looking between rows 10-20 give or take in the 100's.

We got put in the 100s for the Georgia game and I do remember thinking the viewing angle from there was a bit lower than would be ideal.

This year we got 300s but we’re in the corner instead of sidelines.
