I'm confident this is being addressed elsewhere... But What in The everlasting Fuck?

I've heard about this felt board but can't remember what it was called. Maybe a Methodist thing; Baptist?

between daylight savings time and flash power outages and unplugging things in and out, none of the appliances in my kitchen ever show the same time and it is intensely annoying
I like having different time zones in my own house... Of course, I've set all of them at a minimum of 5 minutes faster than the actual time, but the rest of my family are never ready to leave on time

SIAP- This was the place that seemed the most logical to place this:

The stress of 5 years of hysteria has broken our rains and put us in a manic state.
Who knows what Chili's we might wake up in when it wears off?
Maybe the real Chili's was the drunken friends we made along the way...

Welp- there is only one Chili's in the state of Washington, and none (!) in Oregon.
So... It might be a while before I'll be free to join the party.

Only thing WILDER than that, that I can remember, is 1999 Baylor v UNLV. Baylor leading with seconds left in the game, on the UNLV goal line. Instead of taking a knee and the W, they try to run it in for a TD, fumble, and it's returned 100 yards for the UNLV victory.
I saw something just as heartbreaking at a Pennsylvania high school game one time

Sequim is the driest part of Western Washington. The dry side, Eastern Washington, is drier.
Yup... Meant "driest area in that part of the state"

This segment is a masterpiece of journalism. If you've never watched it, you should. Totally worth it.
Just back from voting at Gus Garcia Rec Center on Rundberg. Wait time was about 30 minutes. About the least Trumpy looking group of people I've ever seen.
Mentioned this before- my FIL worked at ODOT when this happened (they were responsible for the attempted detonation/disposal); guy who it was assigned to essentially ended up drawing the job because everyone else heard what was coming and avoided the office that morning.

anybody have Port Angeles recs for a place to stay? looks pretty grim.
trying to squeeze in a long day at Olympic NP and would rather not use a part of that day driving to and from Seattle.
Take a look at Sequim- just a quick drive from Port Angeles, and is in the "rain shadow" (driest part of the state). Incredible lavender in the summer because of the microclimate.
We've had great experiences with several VRBOs in the area.

Holy shit there are 10 choices for potus/vp on my ballot. I guess if a person wants to vote for a pair that matches all of their views, they could likely do so in Washington.
Huge argument for Ranked Choice Voting

I've got something like this for the outdoor concert season.
Can be anywhere from $25 to $140 based on the manufacturer and materials... That gray and burnt orange might resonate with this board.
