  1. I don’t know much about knives but I plan to carry them in my shop. What are some “bespoke” brands? Limited production? Folding and fixed blades.

I don’t want bench made or spyderco or whatever. $300-$1000 per range.

    Chris Reeve?

The start of the 2024 RC PRO Series is this weekend. A brand new layout has just been put in by Ethan Lefebvre and it is a supercross inspired layout with a truly inspired jump line at the front of the track. Signups will be at the track starting on Friday.

As always RV’s and Pit trailers CAN NOT PLUG INTO TRACK POWER. If you are caught plugging into track power you will be told to leave.

Here is some important info you will need:

    • -You can signup at the track
    • -Pit tables are first come first serve (we don't reserve spots)
    • -RV's and trailers must park in the grass areas and CAN NOT plug into track power!
    • -Bring a table/chair/ezup/extension cord if you can just in case our pit areas fills up.
    • -Concession Stand will be open please support it

    Here is the schedule:

Friday: (you must signup before practicing)

    • 10:00am Practice Opens
    • 8:00pm Practice Closes

    Saturday:

    • 8:00am Practice opens for those that did not run on Friday
    • 8:30am practice closes
    • 9:00am Qualifiers Start

I went and watched 20 min of racing last Saturday for whatever that event was.  It’s a cool track. I don’t think I’ll ever be that into RCs but I’ll go watch another race weekend.

I now have three Hobby Grade RCs.
    Arrma Big Rock 3s
    Arrma Outcast 4S
    Arrma Big Rock 6s.

Now I just need to buy a bigger lot and build a track….

Regardless, these things are bad ass. Way better than the crap from my youth.

  5. Mostly it's people looking for easy entry. Something like black jack isn't easy entry for people unfortunately.
It I feel like the rec was the Luchesse 2000 for a while then tecovas when they were cheaper then cuero and now???

Just looking for suggestions from people who know way more about boots than me!

I’m not a boot know it all but the Ariat Bench Made series (I own two pair) are a step up from most of the Ariat lineup and are on par with the Tecovas I have. You can start there and see how it goes. Caveat: you can only try them on in an Ariat store as they don’t sell them elsewhere. Or order online and return if you don’t like the fit.

  6. The only issue with my 4Runner (2021) is keeping it aligned. I’ll keep it for at least a decade. It’ll probably be my kids second car after they total my wife’s Ford explorer.

I have issues in the 4Runner with road shake at 60mph -65mph.

I went through several rounds of wheel balancing at two different shops, tire swaps and ultimately an alignment adjustment to minimize the shake.

My next step if it comes back is to swap out a needle bearing.

  7. Dumb question amnesty request: I haven’t owned a pair of cowboy boots since the mid to late 90s. I was given these Lucchese as a Christmas gift from a good friend.

What should I do out of the box to help break in, protect, etc?  I won’t wear often here on the east coast but want to rock them well when I do.

Does your good friend need another good friend?

  8. I really like the walk up and scan beer process but why would you put stickers on the cooler so you don’t know what is in the cooler until you are in line and have to open the cooler.

If there isn’t a beer I want inside the cooler I’d rather not wait to find out.

This is the quietest and emptiest I've ever felt/seen on a gameday including the dark years. Wow. CFP is lame.

Yep. Thin around the stadium but it was a good atmosphere inside.
