  1. Totally subjective.

How do you want it to carry? Is it too big that you chose to leave it at home?

Will it cut what you intend to cut?

Enjoy your cheapos. I’ll continue to flush money down the toilet for super steal and ergonomics. Spyderco I’m looking at you

  2. Agreed, he hasn't completely nailed it but he had the idea and Mark (Long Island) is trying to steal the idea. People seem to like him, but there's no denying he steals designs and ideas which I think is shitty and unoriginal.l

I don’t think he’s copying what that watch is. I don’t even think he’s using ncaa logos. I think he’s putting together a watch like he’s done a hundred times already. I think he’s releasing multiple versions of the same watch with college color schemes.

If he gets the color right, I’d consider it. Mainly because so few people get the right orange. Even if he does get the orange right he’s not the first burnt orange watch on the market. I’ve seen some brands at the co-op and elsewhere with longhorn logos that look like crap that I’ve passed on because they were too gaudy or too cheap looking.

The championship watch is pretty good looking but I’d never get anything with a championship logo on it.

I really don’t have an interest in the success of his business, but when I saw him suggesting burnt orange I figured the watch thread on the longhorn board would be a place that might be interested.

    Cheers

Sized up the bracelet on my newest (third from the left). The baby blue did not appeal online but in person looks great. The bracelet even comes with the divers extension clasp which made it real easy to find a comfortable sizing.

To say I have a type is an understatement.

Most of my watches are G shocks or dive watches. My favorite divers are the citizen eco-drive divers. They look great and can be bought for a reasonable price.

The outlet store in San Marcos has a weekly sales email and will ship for $20. Be prepared to sign for delivery which can be frustrating for working folk like myself.

Right around this scene there is an exchange like:

    Lesbian: i like women

    gutter: cool

lesbian: why? Because it fits into your male fantasy of trying to score with two women at the same time

gutter: no. We both dig chicks

maybe I’m wrong  but I’ve been playing that scene in my head

  5. I like it but man I throw a lot of INTs…

Also I can’t wrap my head around the new zone read/rpo/etc controls. I fake myself out half the time.
    ….
Someone needs to do a “rpo for surly dummies” on here because I’m struggling.

    Furreal.

I did practice for 15 minutes just on RPO.

I thought I had it down.

Turns out in game I was wrong.
  6. How were the prices at their outlet store?  I know you can find their knives a helluva lot cheaper onlline at places like Blade HQ, Amazon, etc. than on the Spyderco website, but was thinking that maybe the outlet store offers real bargains.  Don't think I'd be able to get out of there without buying a few things like you did.
And is that Enuff 2 in VG-10?

Prices are not great. I think everything is 20% off MSRP which is higher than you get at online retailers. Which makes sense. The ones I bought had added discounts (salt wharncliffe was a discontinued, SpyOpera was open box used at a knife show). Plus I am a veteran so I got an additional 20%.

If it weren’t for the added discounts I probably would not have bought anything.

They have two events a year where they sell blems that have huge discounts. One such event is next weekend for first responders and military, the other event is in November for everyone.

I would not go out of my way expecting a huge discount.

The big reason to stop is to handle knives you can’t find anywhere else. It’s not often you get to see the whole catalog available to fondle.

  7. Yeah, every time I saw these on knife sites I blew them off. They look funky.

Then I held the SpyOpera and really liked it.

I never would have bought one had I not seen it in store.

It is amazing how much a strap swap affects how I feel about a watch.

The original bracelet on this Citizen diver broke. I liked the bracelet but have not repaired it yet. I tried a lot of options and nothing felt right. I started with a couple different brands of NATO straps, I tried a thick orange orange silicone from overseas, I even tried a couple of aftermarket bracelets (including strapcode) without any luck.

I finally tried a Barton silicone bracelet, and it was perfect. I’ve work this watch all week and enjoy wearing it again.
