I was hoping to be swimming by the time we hit 100 degrees. I wasn’t expecting 100 to hit in early May so I won’t hold that against the builder.
Our Coping is almost done and the rebar is in place for the patio extension. It seems like we are getting very close. -
I dunno. I don’t travel often so my meter of what to avoid isn’t great.
Guinness storehouse tour was good. The museum of
Modern art right down the road was closed on Monday.
There are a lot of castles, don’t feel like you have to drive clear across the island to see Blarney. It’s a castle.
The back roads are narrow. If you rent a car, get the insurance.
We bussed into Dublin from where we stayed instead of driving. So we don’t have to worry about driving/parking in the city which was fine but we spent a lot of time in cold windy weather waiting for the return bus home. If I had to do it over again, I’d probably drive.
Other than that, i don’t have strong recs one way or another.
Enjoy. -
Maybe they’ll all have to move to Nw Arkansas.

We are staying in Roscrea (middle of the island) this week. It’s our first time here. We have driven to all the common places. These roads are narrow and I’ve white knuckled a lot of the back roads. Thankfully there isn’t a lot of traffic.
Birr Castle
Cliffs of Moher
Guineas Storehouse tour
We also did Blarney. Limmerick tomorrow.- 1

We’ve been given a shopping list. Time to go check out show rooms to see what sundek, waterline tile, and quartzscape we are going with. Fun.

Question for the experts. I've got a pretty sizeable "arsenal" of my late dad's, ranging back to the 1940s. I don't really shoot much these days, but I have a weird need to keep some of them. But I'm considering selling off some. What's the best way to go about that to maximize the cash received on my end?
Hmmm. First, post here and be ready to get Best Buy Cupins.
Perhaps reviewing gunbroker listings to see what similar items sold for might help give you an idea. Maybe then either go to a gun show and sit in the lot selling to those as they come out without having bought any of the overpriced crap inside.
Or list on Texas Gun Trader. One. At. A. Time.
Or just straight gunbroker all you intend to sell and let the market dictate the value.
It’s not an easy path to maximize profits. If you have the time sell slowly and research each item before pricing.- 1

I have paint. Next week I should have a hole. Baby steps. -
Doctor ordered me to basically buy a Iwatch 7. Everything is fine, it’s the easiest way to monitor my health.
I’ll probably go with the 45mm in black with a black leather band. If you’re going to do it, might as well do it right.
How tough is the watch? I plan on wearing 24/7.
It’s pretty tough. I’ve had one for a while and it didn’t show much wear. After a couple years I went back to a G-SHOCK and gave up tracking steps.
My original reason for getting one was for occasional rhythm checks. I didn’t use that feature as much as I thought.- 1

My wife and her parents had a good time. -
Our youngest son moved out in 1993 and we moved up by Round Rock in 1995.
We were there ‘85-‘97 I think. -
Fuckity fuck fuck.
Get ‘em tomorrow men. -
Speaking of old unsolved Austin murders, I’ll bet almost no one remembers the double murder of a middle age couple that ran a little book store near the SW corner of the I-35 Frontage road & Braker Lane. It took place just after dark sometime in the late 1970s, IIRC.
No witnesses, no clues or evidence ever found. We had recently moved to the Four Seasons neighbordhood over on the east side of 35 near Dessau Road. It caused quite a stir for our area, but was quickly forgotten by the rest of Austin, probably because it was almost out of town then.
A double murderer may still walk among us.
The building was demolished a few years later and a bank branch is there now:

We were almost neighbors. I lived in the north oaks neighborhood that ran up next to the four seasons. I spent half my youth through that hood.
My dad worked at that Safeway and I worked at that Appletree - Randall’s. -

Brooks Kieschnick. Had a good end to his career, but could have should have been so much more...
This is who came to mind for me.
Brooks I thought was going to be a household name. Didn’t happen. -
Melendez is 4-4 with two homers. . . And we’re losing. Argh.
Yes: Pools are worth it....

Thanks for noticing. They did trench a little along the edge but going forward it may need to be lowered.
