They get the majority of their points every year for the Directors Cup  by competing in the Olympic (something like 40ish + total) sports. Not sure how many Florida does, but TEXAS competes in 27.

    Florida competes in 21.

Pretty sure Texas competes in just 22, which is what has made winning 2 of the last 3 so impressive.

We need to go as deep as we can in every sport left.  Up until this year Florida was the only program in the country to finish in the top 10 of the Learfield Directors Cup since it began.  Gata sitting at number 13 now, and I would hate to lose that small record

Wait what?  Hasn't Stanford been 1st or 2nd every year?

Florida's streak pre-dates the NACDA Directors Cup. There was a different all-sports awarded for about a decade before. Florida is the only school to have finished every year in the top 10 since ~1983.

For awhile, it was Florida UNC but UNC's streak ended in '99.

Florida's streak should continue. Men's and Women's Track championship doesn't start until this week. Both are top 10 this season.

The weather in OK. Is shit every year for the WCWS…..yet another reason for Disney to pony up and build a stadium in Orlando

Might be worse there. It rains for no reason in Florida

Though usually it's pretty quick in the summer.

Not sure of its current condition but years ago I went to the stadium at the Wide World of Sports complex for a Braves spring training game and it was pretty nice. I know it was used for a little while as a pro softball stadium.

I've been to it.  Hell, I was on the sideline for the second half.  It pales in comparison to TX/OU.  They split the crowd at the end zones instead of the 50 and the stadium is an NFL retread.  It's lame in comparison.

SEC requires a certain number of rows behind the teams' benches to be populated by their own fans.

I would have thought that TX/OU would shift to endzone splits to accommodate as well as having to adjust home seating ticket allotment for visiting fans for other conference games.

I think Florida is around 11 right now in the low 800s. We should get good points from Men's and Women's track and of course softball. Don't expect much from baseball this year.

If I had to throw out a guess, I'd say we'll end up somewhere around 1050 points and 6th place finish this season.

We should keep our top 10 streak going.

Nice that Baseball has given another 25 points that I didn't expect. Softball adding 10 more is :chefskiss:

The color for the Texas flag, even though it's darker than the rockietops' creamsicle-orange, is once again not burnt-orange

It just means LESS when they don't respect you enough to get your damn school colors correct.  FFS

Aggie was in charge of ordering the flags.

Interesting that Texas OU wasn't among these announcements. Might mean we're getting another 11am game

With the exception of Florida-Georgia, all of the games they've announced so far are September games.

UVA and NC State are playing a non-conference home and home in 2025 and 2026.  Probably not realignment related, but you never know.

Something is going on because NCState already had 4 OOC games both of those years.

    2025
    08/30 - East Carolina
    09/06 - Virginia
    10/04 - Campbell
    TBA - at Notre Dame
    TBA - at Appalachian State

    2026
    09/05 - Florida
    09/12 - Richmond
    09/19 - at Vanderbilt
    09/26 - Appalachian State
    TBA - at Virginia

I thought we had gotten to 105K with the new SEZ renovation? Either way, whatever.

The difference between actual capacity and how many people you can squeeze in.

There’s been nothing consistent about their scheduling at all is my point.  It’s like the non division games were decided by rolling dice every year and for the next two years they are like let’s just do the same thing back to back.  Everyone is talking expansion, pods, ect, they have no freaking clue what to do already. I don’t understand how they haven’t figured out anything actually consistent for years.

They actually had a rotation set. The problem is that we've had three bridge schedules in a short period of time (2012, 2013, 2020) and have two more coming up (2024, 2025) and for some reason, they seem to default to some of the same matchups each time.

For Florida, it means that they've taken away two games vs Auburn which is one of our oldest rivals, and they've added three games vs A&M.

  12. This is why you are better off transferring in the December window instead of waiting until after Spring ball.

No way would he have absorbed the culture of UGA as quickly if he waited until the spring transfer window.
