Disclaimer:  I hate WalMart.  The place is depressing as hell.  Unfortunately, I needed to get a replacement coffee carafe today and Walmart on Anderson Lane (Austin) showed that they had one in stock.

As I wandered through the store, I happened to walk past the chip aisle.  Oh, look, on the end cap -- "Great Value" Jalapeno Chips.  Full confession, I am a jalapeno potato chip junkie.  I tend towards Kettle Brand, sometimes Zapps or Miss Vickers, maybe HEB every once in awhile.

Bought a bag.  Holy crap, they don't suck AT ALL.  A bit of that sweetness some brands have, a nice heat, nothing crazy, good salt level, eminently munchable.

I wonder whose chip they're rebranding?

These are pretty good too, heat seemed a little hotter than other brands

You need to switch to cracklins. In comparison, regular rinds taste like packing peanuts.

I’m actually not a fan of cracklins, I almost added that the 4505 brand is probably the lightest pork rind out there with almost no hard pieces at all in the bag. I know some like the cracklins mixed in with the puffier pieces though.

These are good if you’re into the ones that could chip a tooth lol.

I tried the HEB brand and found them, and pork rinds in general to be pretty meh. But these I found to be pretty good and it's pretty much what I exclusively eat now in the "chip" world:

Those are good, and they pair well with guacamole. These however are the best ones I’ve found to eat by themselves.

So dumb. You can drive 30 straight hours cross country in an RV but get in a bus or semi? 10 hrs before needing 8 hrs of rest

11 hours drive time, 3 hours mandated breaks and dwell time. So 14 hour work days and then 10 hours downtime.

This.  Our interstate drivers have to log it all both analog and digitally, then there's a redundancy device in the cab.  Plus they can get "bonus points" wearing a smart device that'll track their sleep patterns which can earn them lower premiums, gift cards, 'n shit provided it's not knocking themselves out with sleeping pills which make their first couple hours in the morning super groggy.  But that same guy can get in his RV during his week off, pack his harley trailer to the gills, hastily attach it to the RV, smoke a couple of meth bowls, and do a Cannonball Run for Sturgis in 15 hours flat.  And nobody knows anything about it until they see the timestamps on his wife's facebook feed.

CDL drivers have drug and alcohol issues too, the recently created national clearinghouse has something like a 10% reapplication rate for drivers to try and get back in, so 90% just say fuck it and find some other job without as strict drug and alcohol testing. Let that sink in.

The irony there is that there's a good chance "reading" doesn't have so much to do with life outcome as just not being a fucking incurious dipshit does.

One of the U.S. studies referenced how much a book can mean to a low income child.  It is  something that more than likely would not get sold or stolen by someone else in their life.   The ownership of books has huge impacts on a child.

Legalize weed and fentanyl deaths decline?

I've always respected Christie’s views on addiction.

Can't American hilbillies figure out how to synthesize and manufacture fentanyl?

Maybe we should pay the Columbians to produce more cocaine because it can't be laced with fentanyl. According to my wife that's why cocaine use is up.

Is this a bit or are you seriously asking questions?

Well that's what happens when you don't blow the I.T. guy, you dumb cunt.  For being the smart one, Ivanka really going about this the wrong way...

I believe that is Jared's responsibility in their household.

I'd say the sketch artist nailed the Merton Hanks-ish neck seen in the actual photo from today. I was unaware.
