Not trying to be a Debbie downer, but that unfortunate fellow has a dramatic life story of tragedy and success.
He was terribly burned when the helicopter he was piloting was shot down in Vietnam 55 years ago. Barely surviving, he spent two years recovering in the burn unit at Brooke Army hospital - much of that time face down in a sling apparatus.
The plastic surgeons grew him a new nose by cutting a flap of arm flesh and attaching it to the stump of his burned off original one. His arm was strapped up by his head for months while the arm flesh grew onto his face.
The surgeons did not try to replace his burned off ears and he wears a full toupee to cover his scarred bald head.
By some fortuitous miracle, when he crashed and the chopped exploded in flames, he covered his his eyes with his arm, saving his eyesight. But that arm was severely burnt. When he was discharged from the hospital, he stayed in Army as a career officer and after several command assignments in Europe & Asia, retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Early after getting back to active duty, he married a beautiful young nurse, with whom he adopted a baby girl to raise as an army brat. (❤️).
Unfortunately tragedy struck his family about 10 years ago when his wife unexpectedly passed away from a neural event.
But he has continued to keep trucking’ on, doting on his daughter, a nurse, who recently married.
He is quite an inspirational gentleman and all around good guy.Incidentally, He & Mrs. Brat went steady their senior year in high school and dated all through college even though they went to different schools. They broke up in their senior year a few months before I met her at a mutual friend’s wedding (that’s when she & I started our relationship and married in June of 1967).
We are all friends and are grateful to be able get together at their Taylor Duck class reunions.I just thought it was a blurry bad angle in a group picture, no disrespect meant.

I don't have the costume (well I have ideas but they are all in extremely poor taste, even for here), but I do a few ideas:
1. Make her read aloud "On the Origin of Species"
2. Selected works from Fredrick Douglass and Maya Angelou
3. In lieu of reading (I'm not sure she can), have her watch the entire original Cosmos with Carl Sagan.
I originally typed “(try to) read you” lol

It’s becoming crystal clear that by the end of the year, she’ll be a $1000 a night escort.
I’m in. But not for pleasure, only to degrade her…which I’m not sure is even possible. But we have to try.Pay her to read you Becoming by Michelle Obama while wearing this.

A large list of possible next Bond actors. Melissa McCarthy didn’t make the cut.

This was a great but sad movie. Ugh
I wouldn’t say the movie overall was great, but Ben Foster was great in it.

I've watched the bloodbath clip a couple times and, like any Trump rhetoric, it's hard to know what he's trying to say. If you parse the words, though, he starts to say it'll be a bloodbath for the auto industry and then interjects that it'll be a bloodbath for the whole country. It's not as ominous as some as the headlines suggest but it's not unreasonable to take as a broader threat. And I think it's consistent with a lot of fears.
I think he starts to say whole and then does say whole, I think it’s pretty much what he was trying to say, if he doesn’t get elected it’s gonna be a bloodbath for the whole country. Guy is as dumb and hateful as he shows day in and day out. The fact that people vote for him is still the craziest part of all of this.

this more than anything else might actually cause some people to vote differently in this state.
Also, more of my students might actually get their homework done.

So…no spicy BBQ chips. That’s helpful.
Cheeee curls?
My work had the stick sweet cheese curls and they were ok. Like a cheese puff with bbq seasoning on top.

Yeah, I like Costco too. I think it's because I have more "gatherer" than "hunter" in my genetic ancestry or something. But, I will say that I pretty much hate going to the Costco near my in-laws in Dallas. It's a huge pain in the ass. The new Costco in Kyle is a fucking breeze compared to the South Austin one, which in turn is a joyous experience compared to the aforementioned north Dallas location.
I go to Sam's once or twice a year. They have some good stuff, but much like Walmart, I walk in and immediately want to walk out. I didn't know about the online pickup option though, that could be cool.
75 north in Plano? That place has a line to get in on a weekday morning it’s so fucking busy all the time.
