  1. I'm an old and lazy, but want to make a comment on pass interference rules college vs. NFL. I saw this play as obvious pi on osu. Using this as an example, if Stoops catches the ball while he's in the air, no interference and looks like he'll land good for the TD....the college defender can push his ass 3 yards out of bounds once catch is made with no penalty. In the NFL the official will mark the play at the assuming location the receiver would have landed. This was the rule back in the day and I think it still is today, but too lazy to look up.
  2. Me too, but I ran numbers a little different, 3 Non-Conference games Texas avg. 5 @ 40/gm. Opponent for those 3 games had 6 @ 48/gm. Bama screwed the average though as they had 10 penalties for 90 yds. The 6 conference games Texas avg. 6.2 @ 53/gm. Opponent for those 6 games had 3.7 @ 26. The averages start diverging after the Kansas game. Okla game 4/30 Tx 9/70 Hous game 1/15 Tx 6/60 BYU game 3/20 Tx 6/40 Kan St. game 7/50 Tx 10/67 I'll try and update Sundays after next 3 games. While I was at it...Home avg. attendence = 101,459 through 5 games, and some rough hot weather.
  3. This is the coach aggy should go after. If he would coach in North Dakota and Kansas, College Station could work. Offer him Jimbos no fault guarantee deal for 5 years as a start. Dude's in his mid 50's sure seasoned prime for a head coach.
  4. Fun fact about these two coaches. Both were head coordinators for the Giants, Lombardi offensive, Landry defensive. Just before they both left the Giants to head coach Dallas and Green Bay, they traded their play books, and now you know the rest of the story.
  5. Adding onto Sumlins final record in 2017, he ends up going 2-1 in regular season and then loses his bowl game. Sumllin after 6 full seasons ends at 49-24. Jimbo wins out and he's 48-25.
  6. Any update/news on recruits at the game yesterday? Exciting game and what appeared to be close to full house and lots of noise. TV coverage sure picked ome FUGLY MoFos esterday instead of the usual bouncy-bouncies.
  7. I also wanted to mention.....Does Stalions resigning vs. being fired have a taint to it. If Michigan fires him, does that imply they have evidence or know something? At least it might with perception. With Stalions specifing he resigns instead of being fired, all came keep up the facade as they know Nuthink! (Sgt. Schulz)
  8. Watching the Game Day talking heads say how Michigan is a great team regardless of maybe cheating. I guess we may or may not ever know.......BECAUSE THEY CHEAT!
  9. Bunch of weirdo creepy sons of bitches. Discussing mass murdering, poisoning bastids. Can't a normal low life straight up whack a guy for 2 pounds and 10 shillings without getting morbid, serial and shit? If you haven't seen this one, it's worth the watch in my opinion. I thought Jack Black was pretty good as a weird gay ass creepy dude. Hard to get into at first, but then he won me over with his acting. You can catch it on many of the free (and pay) movie streaming services and other pay services. Based on true story of Bernie Tiede, Carthage Tx. Our Minister of Culture is in this movie. IMDB link to "Bernie" Storyline, We meet Bernie Tiede (1958- ), a chubby undertaker, who takes pride in his work. He's a Gospel-singing tenor. In a series of interviews with townspeople, mixed with flashbacks, we follow Bernie: he arrives in Carthage, Texas (pop. 7,000), where old ladies adore him; he befriends a wealthy, mean-spirited widow named Marjorie Nugent; they become companions in both daily routines and expensive vacations. Among those interviewed, only her stockbroker and Danny Buck, the local district attorney, are unsympathetic toward the sunny, sometimes saccharine Bernie. Marjorie changes from sour and alone to happy with Bernie; then she gets possessive. What will sweet Bernie do? Update, Tiede was released from jail in 2014 under the condition that he live with Richard Linklater. Now he's been sentenced 99-to-life, and is returning to prison. A jury in Henderson, Texas has closed another chapter in a Texas murder story that captured the public’s attention nearly two decades ago. This past Friday, Bernie Tiede, who was the real-life inspiration for the 2011 Richard Linklater film “Bernie,” was sentenced to 99 years to life for a second time for killing Marjorie Nugent in 1996.
  10. I got tired of trying to catchup on the last 3-4 pages, what with all the shit flinging back and forth. This is obviously going to be a slow roll for the sake of web hits. I'm sure the information is all gathered and being doled out to highest bidder for reporting and web clicks. Probably already posted, but I don't care. Central Meat-chicken my be a part of the scandal if they helped the head stealer in charge observe MSU. Link to CBS Sports article of Stalion being on sidelines during game. So if Central Michigan is straight, information on issued sideline passes will be available. That is, unless they don't care what lunatic is allowed to use their sideline passes and shoot the place up. Central Michigan is investigating allegations that suspended Michigan analyst Connor Stalions was on the sideline for its season opener on the road against Michigan State, according to ESPN. A man who resembles Stalions appears to be on the sideline wearing CMU apparel in photos that have been circulating on social media. The Michigan staffer did not have a general sideline pass, which are relatively common. Instead, Stalions appears to have a pass that reads "VB" for visiting bench. Those credentials are only given out to opposing teams for coaches, trainers and staffers. He also was wearing Central Michigan apparel that appeared to be team-issued. It's unclear how Stalions may have gained access to these resources.
  11. I'm a liar. His son, Tommy is QB coach at LT. Big Mark is probably hanging around the Lakeway Whataburger "recruitng running backs".
  12. I believe he's lost a lot of weight aand coaching football at Lake Travis.
  13. Yup, one day he's going to FAFO with the wrong SOB. Grown ass man acting like a Jr. High kid. ??? Can't be married and I guarantee he's still a virgin.
  14. So if you're Joe Blow, somewhat college football educated, do you go underground when the lawyers, investigators, and NCAA come knocking. I would spill my guts as soon and fast as I could. I ain't taking any kind of punishment or fine, or ridicule for any football program. as loyal as I may or may not be, not even the Longhorns would get my silence. I guarantee that the electronic and money trail on this is out there and can be unraveled/revealed if someone really cares to find out. The new crooks of today are idiots. Never in writing, never over the phone, always in cash, and if anyone asks you where you got the money(?) You tell them you won it in a crap game. Idiots.
  15. I like Kansas +9.5 vs. Blow U Texas minus the points, whatever they are. Murphy going to show his stuff, if he can develop some touch overnight. The receivers are going to have to adjust to his fast balls vs. catchable Ewer tosses. South Carolina + pts vs. aggy, just because. USC -10 vs. Cal.
  16. In addition 2024 aggy recruit list shows 3 more DLs and 2 LBs incoming. Grand total of 20 DLs on a defense that typicaly plays 3 defensive down linemen. WHOOP! Thought I'd add this link to their (and any teams) depth chart. Last updated on Oct. 3rd. https://www.ourlads.com/ncaa-football-depth-charts/depth-chart/texas-am/92039 In 2020 season (Hermans last) we had19 wide receivers and 21 defensive backs on the roster.
  17. To be clear about Jimbo and being fired. You can't fire a guy with guaranteed money. You can pay him off, or complete the contract, but firing ain't it. I also don't think, as I've seen on Texags, that he can or would be reassigned to another position within the Athletic department. I'm guessing his contract is to be the Head Knocker Coach at aTm and not some pud knocker AD or something else. FUPM aggy style.
  18. Sounds about right to me. It takes some time to get the deeper routes complete. I suspect PK putting about 6 on the line with 3-4 big'uns slanting to consume blockers, and a fast edge rusher (Hill, etc.) coming from somewhere. Let the OU line guess where it comes form and which big'uns are slanting. If I were the OU OC, I'd keep a back in on almost all plays to pick up the blitz, run the RPO, or roll out protection for Dillon G. to have time to throw the deep ball.
  19. In addition, Texas needs to maximize punting and penalty advantage. Texas averages 2.6 punts/gm (47 yds avg) vs. OU 3.0 punts/gm (39.6 yds avg) Texas averages 4.2 Pen.gm.(34.8 yds avg) vs. OU 7.0 pen/gm (62.2 yds avg). And deep endzone touchbacks EVERY time. Don't get cute and tempt their return.
  20. Saban is doing this on purpose. He is showing the Bama sky screamers exactly what the Alabama QBs are., and what he has to choose from. Milroe is the best option that they have, and not a bad QB, just needs some time in the saddle. Jalen on deck?
  21. 56-13, Texas Ewers passes for over 300 with 3/1 TD/INT. There will be a lot of hand offs and running in 2nd half. Booring football is correect. I'm expecting some special teams bull shit, but am hoping a punter can come out of this. Punting has sucked for a couple of decades with exception of an occasional Aussie.
  22. Could be touchy with Texas and the Alamo.....I propose we enter the field first, then play "El Deguello" until the opponent comes out. I always felt Deguello as a bone chilling song to have to listen to. First part of the song is like a remeberence of loved once and life. The end says dying time has come. Brrrhhhhh. El Deguello song
  23. Small PSA for a great listing of which channels/streams College games are showing. Link to College Football TV listings My first post, so have at it!
