My congressman, John Carter, used to have someone at least answer the phone and take a message that was predictably never responded to. He has suddenly become more relatable in that he now does not have anyone answering the phone and his voicemail is full. What a worthless piece of shit.

Another posting on it.
Can any fucking mainstream media comment on the invalidity of Trump's dumbass chart? It seems like it would be really easy to do.

Is he sleeping in today, or something? I'm ready to be liberated!

8.3% with 82% reporting. 30+% victory by Waltz. Yay?

Rogan had someone on explaining about the gay hairdresser who got swept up by ICE and Rogan keeps saying “that’s horrific, can’t we get him out or tell someone they made a mistake?” And the guest is like “bro, they would never admit that. They will just cover it up so…”
This is what you asked for dipshit.
I haven't listened to Rogan speak since the last time I watched Fear Factor as a 12 year-old. Is he a hard-core Trumper who pretends to care occasionally, or just a total fucking idiot?

That thing about the man who leads a shit life and repents at the end is better than someone who led a blameless existence is where I got off the boat.
This is where I always clashed with my (final) christian gf back in college. A nazi who accepts Jesus gets his ticket to heaven punched but the jews he murdered are condemned to eternal hellfire? Seems like a suspect system...

Imagine, even in the depths of Trump's first term, Canada coming right out and saying we're not allies anymore.
I was casually having drinks on Brisket's ledge after reelection, but even I am surprised with the speed of our descent. Truly remarkable.
I wish I could be content to say I told you so. But instead it's more like "GET OFF THE SHIP NOW OR WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE, YOU GODDAMN MORONS!"

My wife got to intubate a kid with measles the other day. Our youngest is still a few weeks shy of being able to get the vaccine, so that's fun.
It really fucking sucks that Trump has been the dominant political figure for most of my post-graduate life. How much faster have we all aged this last decade?

This is fine. This is normal.
(This is unconstitutional usurping of Congress's power of the purse).

A few highlights:
The discontinued grants include about $11.4 billion from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as around $1 billion from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, known as S.A.M.H.S.A.
On Tuesday, Andrew Nixon, a spokesman for the federal Department of Health and Human Services, said in a statement: “The Covid-19 pandemic is over, and H.H.S. will no longer waste billions of taxpayer dollars responding to a nonexistent pandemic that Americans moved on from years ago.”
The Trump administration’s cancellations of grants and contracts throughout the government has led to numerous lawsuits from states and nonprofit groups, which are still in their early stages. The health grants in question were authorized and appropriated by Congress, and their termination may lead to new lawsuits. Several states said they were exploring legal options.
The funds from S.A.M.H.S.A. were not earmarked for Covid programs, and they were intended to address mental health and substance use issues.
Respiratory virus desson going to be lit next winter!

Well half his fucking cabinet was involved. One guy is easy to throw under the bus. A dozen dumbfucks he appointed? That's a little harder to do.

What? I said the E2EE worked fine I never said anything about this being okay or even remotely proper. I was simply arguing that these guys (who now have proven my point) are just massively stupid and preferred convenience over some malicious plan to subvert recordskeeping.
No one has disputed the encryption working, because it does in fact work.
Stupidity and malevolence are not mutually exclusive. Yes, the administration appears to be full of fucking morons. Those morons may also have just enough wherewithal to want to cover up their actions.

That is horrible for her, but if I had a blood/bleeding disorder, you would not find me swimming with dolphins, riding horses or doing anything else with animals much larger than me.

A cell phone— even a government cell phone— is not allowed to be in the same room as a machine that is used to process what Hegseth sent, assuming Goldberg’s description is accurate. You can’t even bring your AirPods in those rooms.
The military has only recently been issuing mobile kits where you can get that kind of access to intelligence to the the field and not need to go back to a more permanent base.
Yea, but even if Hegseth left his cell phone on the bar counter in Moscow, I'm sure he has that thing strongly password protected.

God fucking dammit. One of the top 5 most endangered animals in the world, of which there are less than 50 left, is likely toast
Ive been to the Refuge multiple times, and taken the family twice. Go soon, before these birds are gone by 2030
Technically, just a subspecies of the greater prairie chicken, which is itself highly endangered, as are nearly all grassland birds in the country. But that should make it even easier for the administration to wave off any criticism about this. Nevermind that there were once 2 million of them in the state, and now they're a shadow of a shadow of what they once were.
But those goddamn freeloading biologists who live on site and make next to nothing to protect the refuge are practically stealing taxpayer dollars!!!
I have a friend who spent a year there. He sounds heartbroken, as I imagine virtually every NPS worker across the entire country is these days.
It is a beautiful prairie. I've been several times, never on a guided tour. Seen the prairie chicken once. But they are just part of an underappreciated landscape.

I have been unable to get my wife on board so far, but she's starting to show interest.
I have no problem watching a 2nd (probably 3rd) time with someone experiencing it fresh.

It was definitely Helly at the beginning, when Jame Eagan came to see her. I wondered at the end though if she hadn't been switched back somehow. I hope we don't have to wait 3 years for the next season.
