........The role players should have a much easier time as the Jazz guard all five spots at once better than GS can and has a true rim protector that forced Harden off the glass, free throw line and limited Capela’s dunks. GS doesn’t have the personnel to do that and the Rockets offense will run much smoother than the previous two series.

I think you are under rating how great GS can be on defense (as pointed out later in the thread). IMO the Rockets will struggle mightily in the half court this series. Playing iso ball allows the defense to know exactly where they need to be and what rotations they are in. Also the warriors have a lot of length to contest shots.

In order for the Rockets to win this series they have to get the score in the 115+ range. That's not happening with a lot of half court play.

The Harden/Paul iso offense won't work against GS

In heavy doses. Rockets need to push the ball and get a lot of transition shots. The more they play in the half court, the more they will struggle.

Harden can't fall in love with dancing in isolation. Warriors are to good defensively to allow iso ball to beat them. Much like the Spurs did last year, Warriors will eat that up.

I kinda would like to see Harden and CP3 get the monkey off their back and win.    Both still have A LOT to prove.  I just don't see it.   Much like TOR they will have to prove to me they can do it before I will believe it.

Im here too. I think man for man the Rockets match up well. But they will have to show me. I expect close games with the Rockets having 4-5 mins stretches were they lose focus and allow the Warriors to get separation.

I hope both sides stay healthy and give us a great series.

Ok your opinion. To play for my team in a 7 game series in the nba finals I would want mj all day.

So you wouldnt want a guy thats won 5/6 nba titles? What do you want then? Just stats? I never said lebron wasn’t great, there’s just more to basketball to me than physical athletic ability.

So you taking Robert Horry before LBJ?

    MJ/LBJ is a legitimate debate.

Kobe/LBJ is not a debate, at all.

The Bulls struggled against Hakeem's Rockets even before Jordan's two-year "retirement."

    Yep

Last year we finished 70th in the nation. This year we finished 36th (according to kenpom.com). How is that going backwards?

Serious question: do you watch the games?

Boothe "transferring" was obvious after she was suspended for about the 4th time in 1 year.

I'm not sure it was really a transfer either. When Boothe was suspended for the tournament and not even allowed on the bench, it was pretty much a message of "go find a new home".

Boothe is talented as hell but there's only so much bullshit you can put up with. Either way, time to go get a grad transfer with the available scholarship.

Her time at UT may have gone a lot better if Travis was still on staff.  But oh well.

Like you said she is talented but didn't appear to want to change her game to fit what was required to be at UT.

I would have fired him after 2003.  Shortly after that, he finally got the right combination of good assistants and badass recruits to overcome his and GDGD's shortcomings for a great run and then he went back to underachieving again.

This right here. That run against OU in the early 2000's is his legacy for me.

We should on paper have a decent squad next year. Unfortunately, we have the same shitty coaching staff, so expecting anything more than squeaking into the tournament and losing during the opening weekend is about the level of expectations one should have.

This right here. Some of yall making this shit difficult.

It's really difficult to articulate just what was unique about the Shag (and will be unique about Surly), but I think blacklab did an amazing job given the venue/format.
