KD reenacted his visit to Rucker Park from a few years ago in the 4th qrt.
If they can stay patient, Knicks have some pieces to build with.

Celtics will beat the Warriors in the finals.
1. Key to beating GS is dealing with Steph Curry. Boston has several people to throw at him on defense led by Marcus Smart.
2. They have a small ball line-up that will give Curry problems. Celtics can put Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Morris and Horford on the court. Steph will have issues guarding any of those guys.
3. Leprechaun Shit. Whatever breaks the Celtics need to win the series will fall their way. People that know Celtics lore know what I'm talking about.
I write all this as a life long hater of the Celtics.

I'm very excited. The level of entertainment, not necessarily the play, will be so high early in the season! So many storylines.

I do think the NBA missed a real golden opportunity to showcase a level of commitment to this issue for example creating a new campaign aimed to target these issues with say an NBA task force (even a new executive position perhaps just for this issue at the NBA) and set of guidelines and standards signed by all NBA owners in unison for all NBA teams with new reporting standards and many other changes that could have been a great PR move for them. The NBA has always been so superior to the NFL in being proactive with many issues, but I think they missed a good chance here.
Could Dallas be the outlier in this? Other franchises might already have their policies in place?
I'm asking because, like you, i think the NBA has been proactive in addressing many issues and would be surprised if they missed here.

To be clear, it's the D3 program USJ in Connecticut, not St. Joseph's in the A-10. I was thrown for a second.
Me too.

Stupid coaching...keep track of your substitutions especially at the end of a set...
That's why you train 6 rotation players....and sub in those DS's when those players are struggling...
And WTF do they work on in practice? It's not Serving...it's not passing...
Elliott and his staff should be embarrassed for putting that shit show out there!
That's what I was wondering.
The names have changed but the play remains the same. Ridiculous.

This program has consistently had serving errors in key moments for more than a decade. It's amazing (and frustrating as hell) to watch.

Skylar Field is ranked the #1 player in the country for the class of 2019.
Logan would have probably benn ranked #1 if she didn't reclassify.
Molly Phillips came in at #16, but most believe she is the best MB in the class.
The run Coach Elliott has been on at UT has been a joy to watch. Especially the period since Destinee and Ashley arrived on campus. The talent level, the Final Fours, the 2012 title have been amazing. I don't take the success for granted.
But i have to admit that between now and the end of the 2021 season if their is not another NCAA title i will feel some disappointment.

The 20 blocks is why we need to keep the ball in play. We can win matches with our block.
When we struggle from the service line and commit a bunch of hitting errors we deserve to lose.
Yes! It's so frustrating when they don't get the serve in. Especially late in a close set. Get it over the net and inbounds and give the block a chance.

What the hell happened after 5-9? I was at work and had to step away at that point. When i returned it was 13-10.
Great win today!

The Wire- entire cast.

Don't the Knicks have a streak of playing on Christmas Day? Like the nfl puts the Lions on every Thanksgiving.
And didn't someone mention during the playoffs that Toronto does not count in the TV ratings? If so, I think that would play a big factor in not showing them on Christmas.

I guess their reasoning is he is cheap and nothing to lose? But he is a net negative. It has been proven. He will actually make your team worse. Melo doesn't care about winning. He wants his shots and points. That's it.
8 hours ago, Chad said:Rocket fans will be tired of Melo 2 weeks into the season. If you're expecting him to embrace a bench role and be productive off the bench y'all are in for a rude awakening. If you're expecting him to gracefully share the court with CP3 and Harden without slicing into their share of the pie y'all are in for an even bigger rude awakening. Blame Westbrook, Donovan or whoever for his shitty 17-18 season, he's been on the decline for some time. Last season it accelerated and I wouldn't blame the coach or the players he was playing with. D'Antoni couldn't keep him happy as the #1 option it'll be hilarious when Melo inevitably begins to turn the locker room against him.
I get where yall are coming from. That's been Melo most of his career.
However, he's experienced a lot of shit off the court. How has that changed his thinking/approach to life in general? Is he now just seeking a place where he can be at peace, have some happiness?
As others have pointed out, not much risk for the Rockets. It'll be interesting to watch how it unfolds.

Were any of the previous 3 fired, or did they just change teams?

Riley likely would have been fired. That was the end of the Showtime Lakers and they were tired of his military style.

Who's hosting the show? Is it better than last year?

oh damn, they picked up trevon duval for the summer league team. there were duke games i watched this year where i thought he was the best player on the court. granted, there were many more where he clearly wasn't, but he definitely had some moments.
Same for me when i watched a cpl of their games.
Huge fall for him to not even get drafted. But i think he finds a way to stay in the league at some point.

I think we trade up tonight. Trade with Hawks. Swap picks, we take on a salary dump maybe give up a future 2nd or heavily protected first. We get Luka, and Atlanta can still get Trae Young and dump salary.
If we stay put, I think other teams trade up to 3 and 4 and Luka and Bamba will be gone.

Here is my mock based on what I would do if I was running each franchise (putting spoiler tags around it because it's long):
-
- Phoenix - Luka Doncic - Guard, Real Madrid. I think he's the best player in the draft and the Suns don't really have anyone of note that projects to be an All-Star lead guard. Enter Doncic. With a core of Doncic, Booker and Josh Jackson (who are ages 19, 21 and 21), Phoenix would be set on the perimeter for years going forward and could focus on the front court in free agency.
- Sacramento - Mohamed Bamba - Center, Texas. I think that, at worst, Bamba is an elite defensive anchor who can go up and catch lobs on offense. At best, he's some sort of hybrid of Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis. Bamba has the most upside in the draft and as an added bonus, will still be valuable even if he never quite realizes all of that potential.
- Atlanta - DeAndre Ayton - Center, Arizona. Ayton will score in the NBA, no question. But how will he be on the defensive side of the ball? That question is what separates him from Mo Bamba in my eyes, but Ayton should still be a tremendous building block for a team with no real foundational building block.
- Memphis - Jaren Jackson Jr - Forward, Michigan State. Jackson would be a great get for Memphis because he could play alongside Marc Gasol and also in place of him when the Grizzlies want to go smaller. A tough defensive player who the grit 'n grind Grizzlies fans would love to support.
- Dallas - Wendell Carter Jr - Forward, Duke. I'd take Carter over his Duke teammate here because he's a better defender and I think he projects to be a better shooter than Bagley as well.
- Orlando - Marvin Bagley - Forward, Duke. I'm not sure how great the fit is with the Magic, but when you are as bad as they are, I'm taking best player available and not worrying about fit or positions.
- Chicago - Michael Porter Jr - Wing, Missouri. To me, this is the first spot where it makes any sense whatsoever to take Porter. If I'm the Bulls, I'm letting it be known that pick #7 is up for grabs for any of the teams that may want Porter. My ideal trade here would be Porter to the Clippers for picks #12 and 13.
- Cleveland - Miles Bridges - Forward, Michigan State. Tough Spot here not knowing what Lebron is going to do, I'm simply taking the guy I think has the best chance of becoming an All-Star in case Lebron leaves and I have to start from scratch.
- New York - Kevin Knox - Wing, Kentucky. Knox is shooting up the draft boards and is a very intriguing prospect. Projects as a versatile 3 & D wing who can defend multiple positions. He and Mikal Bridges are the two best players in that mold on the board right now and Knox is 3 years younger and the nicks are not in win now mode.
- Philadelphia - Mikal Bridges - Wing, Villanova. The 6ers, however, are in win now mode and it is simply not possible to have too many 3 & D wings on your roster.
- Charlotte - Trae Young - PG, Oklahoma. With Kemba Walker headed in to the last year of his deal, Charlotte needs to think about a future that may not include him. I actually like Collin Sexton better as a prospect, but there is no denying that Young has more star potential. In a place like Charlotte, where you aren't going to sign the big name free agents, I think you have to go for the home runs in the draft.
- LA Clippers - Zhaire Smith - Wing, Texas Tech. I'm not exactly sure what Smith is in the NBA, but I'm taking a chance on him given his insane athleticism and defensive potential. I also like his fit alongside guys like Montrezl Harrel and DeAndre Jordan.
- LA Clippers - Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG, Kentucky. Again, I like Sexton better as a prospect, but SGA fits better with what I'm trying to do with my roster here. If I come out of the draft with SGA and Zhaire Smith, I'm feeling pretty good about my perimeter defense going forward (and that doesn't even take into account Patrick Beverley).
- Denver - Collin Sexton - PG, Alabama. The Nuggets desperately need a PG and in this scenario, they get my favorite of the PG prospects. I don't think he has the All-Star potential that Trae Young has, nor as he as intriguing as SGA, but he is a rock solid lead guard who I think is one of the most likely players in the draft to have a 10+ year career in the NBA.
- Washington - Lonnie Walker - Wing, Miami. It's going to become a theme here, but everything being equal roster wise, I'm always going to go with a guy who projects as a 3 & D wing.
- Phoenix - Robert Williams - Forward, Texas A&M. Since I took Doncic first overall, I'm addressing my front court depth here.
- Milwaukee - Kevin Huerter - SG, Maryland. Perhaps the best pure shooter in the draft and has good size. The kind of player I want surrounding Giannis.
- San Antonio - Troy Brown - SG Oregon. I love the pairing next to Dejounte Murray. Another good defensive guard who can handle the ball and play off of it.
- Atlanta - Khyri Thomas - Wing, Creighton. One of my favorite prospects in the draft. Another 3 & D guy who can guard multiple positions effectively.
- Minnesota - Donte Divincenzo - SG, Villanova. The Wolves need scoring and 3 point shooting and Divincenzo provides that in bunches.
- Utah - Jacob Evans - Wing, Cincinnati. The Jazz are pretty set and guard and center so adding another 3 & D guy who is in the mold of Jae Crowder feels like the smart move here. Evans busts his ass defensively and fits in very well with the culture Quinn Snyder has created in Utah.
- Chicago - Anfernee Simmons - SG IMG Academy. I am not in any hurry to win if I am the Bulls and I've already had at least one lottery pick (again, I'd try like hell to make it two if Porter was there at #7) so I feel like I can take a chance on a guy who will probably spend a lot of time in the G league next season.
- Indiana - Josh Okogie - SG, Georgia Tech. The Pacers are in a good spot going in to the offseason, coming off a surprising season, lead by a legit Star player and one of the few teams in possession of cap space. Taking a solid perimeter defensive prospect here feels like a good move.
- Portland - Melvin Frazier - Wing, Tulane. Portland has a lot of redundant wings already on the roster. The hope here is that drafting a guy like Frazier makes it easier to move one of those bigger salary guys without too much of a drop off in production.
- LA Lakers - Elie Okobo - PG, France. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about Okobo besides what I've read about him online. He projects as a scoring 1 who can shoot the ball and while I still like Lonzo Ball, that ain't him.
- Philadelphia - Grayson Allen - SG, Duke. JJ Redick is probably coming back, but he is getting a bit long in the tooth and you can never have enough shooting. Think he can play next to Simmons long term.
- Boston - Rawle Alkins - SG, Arizona. Another defensive guard in the mold of Marcus Smart, but projects to be a better shooter. Feels like the type of player who fits in with the current Celtics roster and can provide insurance in case someone goes down or is traded.
- Golden State - Chandler Hutchison - Wing, Boise State. The Warriors do not have a lot of depth on the perimeter. Hutchison is probably the best wing left on the board.
- Brooklyn - Keita Bates-Diop - Wing, Ohio State. The Nets just need good players and although he's probably not going to be spectacular, KBD should be a solid pro.
- Atlanta - Jalen Brunson - PG, Villanova. I've already added two guys who provide major upside. Now give me a guy who can lead them.
Interesting. Thanks.

Any word on what type of injury Joyner is experiencing?
Was hoping for a "clean" season with her. I saw video from the summer workouts and she looked in great shape.
