"Actually, Big 12 Presidents and Chancellors that make up the Big 12 Board of Directors later learned that Bowlsby had been warned. First by former Oklahoma State University athletic director Mike Holder and then later new Oklahoma State University President Dr. Kayse Shrum had warned Bowlsby that the University of Oklahoma was contemplating a move to the SEC.
Bowlsby’s response reportedly was that he slept well at night knowing that Oklahoma and Texas loved the Big 12 and would never leave. "
In case there was any question remaining if Bowlsby should have seen this coming. -
I have a kid on the autism spectrum that turns 24 next month. Echo above comment - private schools aren't set up for any student that challenges the system. You need a public school and their SpecEd resources and programs. Send me a PM if you want to talk to someone who has been (and is) where you are.

As expected since I've spent like $180 there this year, got nothing from the TW Van Winkle raffle
I spent a whole lot more there and still got nothing.- 1

I’ve got a couple of WSR 1.75 getting dusty on my shelf. If this is your game in Austin hit me with a trade offer. Will also be in DFW in a couple of weeks. Looking for comparable value, YMMV.

This also involves taking cars off the Drag through campus for the rail line. Call your council member, they need to put the rail line underground.

retail here on eagle rare is $29.99, buffalo trace is $24.99 (or cheaper) and stagg, jr, if you can find it, is $49.99, so i can see a restaurant honoring those prices (or the wholesale version) a little bit more than liquor store secondary. outside of pappy or btac, i've found it's almost always worth it to order the allocated pours at restaurants that offer them.
Saw a Stagg Jr in the wild yesterday. For the low low price of $149.99 it could be yours! -
What I can’t figure out is since the cable providers control the high speed broadband why haven’t they just jacked the price through the roof yet.
To an extent they have. I took my parents off the local cable provider that was screwing them on tv service, and put then on a streaming provider. Had to pay a $40 "tax" for their internet service upgrade to the cable guys for the privilege. They still came out over $100 / month to the good. -
I get unsolicited calls for my properties plus the additional brain damage that somebody named John owns a house in Manor and apparently his number got mis-entered as mine so I get calls on that one as well. I've offered to sell the house in Manor multiple times..

Picked up a Boondocks 11-yr whiskey, because $41 for 11-yr juice. Anybody know anything about it?

Check out the Sewell dealerships in Dallas. Not sure each one doesn't install dealer options but the Subaru dealership didn't.
Sewell also owns the Jaguar and Land Rover dealers in N Austin. If you are in the market for something they sell you should go there. Friend's husband works there, they are top notch.- 1

Strongly recommend starting with the first book. Beyond the fact it’s 100% worth it, the books do three things better than the series:
1. Miller is such a great character and while Thomas Jane did him justice, it’s so much better in the books.
2. The life in the Belt is much more built out and explored and helps to understand why they hate the inners so much. For example: the belters all grow up in zero and micro gravity, so they are literally a foot taller than the inners and have all these heath problems, but also are just naturals in space. The tv show is limited in that it was shot in gravity. The book creates a rich world where there is no “up” or “down” you are either on the float or not.
3. There’s more back store on Mars that will make the last three books make much more sense.
I just started the book series. Halfway through book 2. Absolutely agree that the books (so far) are awesome. -
I grew up north of the Red River, and there were a handful of small towns that were notorious speed traps. About 20 years ago, in a rare example of the Oklahoma Legislature doing something smart, they passed a law that stated:
1. If more than 30% of a town's revenue came from ticket fees, or
2. More than 50% of speeding tickets were less than 10 mph over the speed limit
Then the town forfeited all of their ticket revenue.- 2

It’s funny to see a guy from the school that matriculated Hart Lee Dykes and Dez Bryant throw shade at the academic mission of places like Texas, Michigan, USC, Georgia, etc.
I can guess your age because you didn't mention Dexter Manley.- 1

With the influx into Texas, it’s down to about 500
So I should or should not open my bottle? -
Good thing his D just got pantsed by Bama.
Well, Lanning had more important things to do than worry about a dang football game!- 1

I thought they were in the end zone twice
-
Big12 obviously doesn’t want a playoff berth

State hosed on the review

Take the sack!!!

Man if Gundy screws up the best shot they've had in years to get into the playoff...that would actually make me chuckle.
That would be very Gundy-ish of him -
Serious question for rules gurus. The ball hit the pylon when fumbled at the end of the interception run. Should that have been a fumble into the end zone and by rule OSU ball?

Just bought a 4k tv, and couldn’t stomach the $180 cost of upgrading my Apple box to 4k. $30 Roku FTW. The lagniappe, as noted previously in the thread, is DirectTV Stream actually works on Roku…

Is Widow Jane 15 worth $200? Visiting family, this is about the only thing I saw that might be worth grabbing at the local liquor store.
