Just went to my first therapy session ever at the age of 46. I don't even know what I'm trying to work out, just that I've got a lot of emotional crap that I want to figure out.
Childhood to today stuff, so I hope it helps. I have no idea what else to expect, but I felt like I clicked some with her, so I guess that's the first positive. It was just an intake appointment though.

I'd like to have some hot coffee for about 8 hours. Anyone have a recommendation?
A new coffee maker with one it drips into isn't out of the question, but I've never heard of one that worked real well. Hot for hours well, at least.

New music from Arlo McKinley. Can't wait for the new album. I thought his last release was great.
I hadn't heard of him until this post and I listened to that song a ton before I looked further. I'm glad I did. He's got some great stuff. I love the Slaid Cleaves sad shit, so this guy is up my alley.
I got stuck in this one for a while and it's still in the daily rotation.

My GS's (grew up raising them) would flop ears sometimes. Some always have their ears up, some flop them.
Best breed I ever worked with
This is both our first GS. I've had labs because I love a sporty swimming fetching dogs and my lady has had dobermans because she grew up next to some that she felt sorry for because they were tied up outside all day. He a lot different than either of those, but I think we're doing a good job with him. He's scared of a lot of stuff (mainly tree stumps and other inanimate objects. Dipshit) and other dogs, but loves people.
I thought I'd be smart and build him a forever kennel out of this cubby in the house, but at 5 months here, I'm not real confident he'll fit.

First: what is the cause of the crack?
I have no idea. My girlfriend bought the house 5ish years ago and it was like that. I've been living here about 2 years and it hasn't changed much that I can tell.
The house is 130 years old and might fall down? I don't like the idea of a failing foundation. That sounds like it sucks.

I'm about medium to poor with money and DIY skills, but I can figure out most stuff with some time.
I need to resurface with concrete or deck over this patio that has a cracks as big as an inch wide and an inch uneven.
I read some stuff about decking over these slabs that looks like I might be able to pull it off and it said material would range from $5-15 per sqft. Depending on composite or real lumber.
Or would it be easier and/or cheaper to pour concrete over it? I've mixed up a decent amount of quickrete type stuff, I just haven't done any thing like this and have just started reading about the options and methods.
Happy 4th too, homies!

This has come up in trial. I do some expert witness work for some insurance defense attorneys when roof replacement and insurance coverage is the crux of the case. On more than one occasion, dummy storm chaser roofing contractor admitted while on the stand that they "charge more" if insurance funds are available when compared to regular, non-insurance money funded roof replacements.
When asked why they did this they replied, "uh, it's insurance money."
The judges and juries were not pleased with that answer.
So what's the best move here and why not listen to the guys knocking on our door for a quote. We got hail and need a new roof and siding. The adjuster gave us a contractor name who quoted everything about the same price as insurance is giving us.
I don't want to pocket any money, but this seems like a bad way for us to go about getting it fixed. Should I get multiple quotes and compare?
I sent @ROFL BOX a PM, but he might think I'm trying to bum a ride from him again and won't answer.

I need to get my dad a watch that's not too smart. He mainly needs a digital watch with nice clear numbers. But I'm also concerned about him falling, so I figure I might as well look about getting something with fall detection but I don't want him messing with a smartwatch that switches screens when he just wants to see what time it is. I'm fine with paying a subscription for the alert service.
I also need something that is like a walker or a cane but is not a walker or a cane because he doesn't need either of those goddamn things.

I only mostly despise you.
BTW, I had a CT scan and ultrasound, and who knows what number of blood tests. Apparently I showed some markers for a fatty liver. The way the doctor explained it to me that a fatty liver can heal, but once it gets really bad to cirrhosis there is no cure. I don't want to find out if anyone likes me enough to donate part of their liver.
To those on the fence about how to classify yourself and your relationship with alcohol...just stop for a period of time. You will find out.
I was where you are , health wise at 35. Fatty liver, but I didn't quit. Got diagnosed with cirrhosis at 41. Also have varices in my esophagus that need to be watched closely. You're at a good spot to heal your body and mind, if that's the route you take.
I'll be 46 in a week or so, haven't had a drink since I was diagnosed nearly 5 years ago and I am happier than ever. I probably shaved quite a few years off of the good years I could have had, but you can't go back and life is good in the present. Hope you find your path.

Perry Ellis Portfolio. I’ve been rocking them for two decades- machine wash, no wrinkles, always look brand new. Pairs have lasted for several years. They have different fits too.
Get them at Macys. They also have them on Amazon for 30 or 40 bucks. I like them, too.

I ordered some of these and they seem to get me as high as the edibles from dispensaries in legal states, if not more. I've had a lot from dispensaries and a lot now from the hemp derived, under .3 THC or whatever they do and I don't understand it. But I like these a lot.
