The West Wing is leaving Netflix on December 24th.

    Mother. Fucker.

Goddammit indeed. This is my go to at night when I'm in the mood for doze watching and I don't have to pay attention because I've seen all of them several times.

  2. Gotta find one of these for my mother. She mostly reads books, but also wants casual browsing. No streaming, music, games, media, anything like that. She has an iPhone and an old iPad, but spending that much on a new iPad for mostly reading and looking at some emails seems extravagant.

Isn't there something like the Kindle that also has decent browsing?

if you like YoutubeTV and will be keeping it for awhile, consider getting the new Chromecast with GoogleTV. The interface is slick and is custom made for youtubetv, comes with a remote that is just like roku's except you can use it for google voice search. It costs $50, but for $40 extra you can get 6 months free netflix ($77.94 value) that works whether you're a new or existing customer.

If you're a little advanced you can connect a bluetooth controller to it add a usb stick and download and play android games on it.

Yeah, this really is a good deal if you're going to have Netflix for the next 6 months anyway. I just got mine and in 2 steps, they credited my Netflix $84, so the Chromecast/Google TV cost 6 dollars.

Don't know if it'll be any better or worse than the Fire TV, but didn't cost much.

  4. I've got kind of a dumb one that's related to the data usage. I'm capped and I like streaming fireplaces on 2 TV's in my house all the time. It's odd, I know. One of the TV's is 1080, the other 720. If I stream a 4K video on these, is it going to use 4K bandwidth when it's not actually displaying 4K on the TV's?

This is the first time I haven't had unlimited data plan, and also the first time I've had all streaming TV service, so I'm playing around with how much I need to buy. I'm averaging about 50-75 gigs a day and it's just me in the house. I have 1000 GB a month. Guess I'll just bump it up to 4000 GB a month and not worry about it? It's only 20 bucks more a month for a year for that.

Fucking data caps. I feel like I'm on my first cell phone plan but these guys won't even give me free nights and weekends.

  5. I bought one of these for 30 bucks. I'm not into lifting, but this and some planking/push ups are enough for me. Well, I'm still a saggy fucker, but whatever.

I grab that pull up bar probably 5 times a day until I can't do another one and I'll also just hang and bring my legs up and down and burn the shit out of my core.

  6. My setup is my TV ARC input running to the HDMI "Out" on an older Onkyo receiver, to 5.1., watching everything from my Firestick that's directly plugged into the TV. Simple enough.

It's been working fine that way for a while, but recently it started not giving me sound when I turn on the tv and receiver. I'd power them off and back on and the sound would be back. Sometimes it took 2 reboots, but usually just one.

Now it's not giving me any sound and nothing has changed. I tried a different Firestick and HDMI cable, but nothing. My only logical guess is the receiver is shot? It's 5 years old and the display lights have been dim for a while. The radio from the Onkyo comes out of the speakers fine, but I can't really think of anything else to check. There's not much to it.

If I do need a replacement, any basic receiver suggestions that won't break the bank? I would only need it to do what I"m currently doing.

I got good news and bad news. Nikki gets a bit more that :10. Pauly and his brother Peter were Exec Producers and have some small screen time. But the story is about the venue and comedy culture. I didn't realize how accurate Showtime's "I'm Dying Up Here" was.

Is there one that should be watched before the other?

Thoughts on 0.0% beer?  Since day 1 of sobriety, I have not had one, nor wanted one.  I had some this past week.  My thoughts are that I don't think it is a good idea for me, so I will refrain moving forward.

Haven't had 0.0, but O'doul's put me back to drinking once after two months of sobriety. Granted, I wasn't trying hard to quit and really didn't want to, so we all know how that goes. But I downed one, downed half another one and it wasn't 10 minutes before I was at the liquor store.

I have friends who are alcoholics that handle it fine. I'm not going to attempt it again myself, I don't think. I'm not that confident yet.

Thanks for knocking over my Webber you two dipshits56a135cc44e8ebcd4edb8b641b801a95.jpg

This is my buddy's mastiff running away after getting his head stuck in the arm of an iron chair and reigning holy holy all over the patio, trying to get it off his head, knocking over his Webber gas grill in his path. .

It was a flurry of panic, destruction and confusion for all parties involved.

My vape oil battery vibrates for different functions. Recently it started vibrating when I take a really big hit. It's like an old lady shaking her finger at you for driving through the neighborhood too fast.

In my early teen years, I spent 3-5 days/nights every week at the skatepark.

I lived near the legendary "Pipeline".  Started with a Logan board, Bennett Pro Trucks, and Kryptonics.  Went through several more, including a "Pipe Wrench" and a "Pool Tool".   Finally settled on an "Alva".   Tony Alva still makes them here in San Diego.

Alva-skateboard-Bill-Danforth-model-IndyI had one a little like this.
