  1. I said it before and I’ll say again and again. I can’t think of a more embarrassing Longhorn alumnus that is in the public eye than Abbott. What a fucking dickhead. Just can’t count on trees anymore.

  2. KSA will flood the market like they did in ‘14-15, drive down prices just long enough for most of us to get laid off while a bunch of DUCs are on standby and the remaining skeleton land crews furiously try to extend leases, and then everything will go back to normal in less than a year.

Hmmm, now that’s an idea. Maybe the company I was at will do just that. Then when shit kicks back in and they ramp up, it’s my chance to go back. Haha.
  3. Yesterday I tried La Lupita off Pinemont. It was pretty solid. The barbacoa wasn’t as good as Gerardo’s but it was still good. I have also had better Al Pastor, but again, was still good. The choriqueso was greasy and awesome.

Taco de bistec, Al Pastor, barbacoa:

  4. Hitting up BurNt Bean next weekend. Any advice on what time to get there? Any recommendations?

Get there by 10:30 and you will be 15-20 back depending on the weather.

If it’s cold and rainy, and they have smoked chicken tortilla soup, definitely get a cup of it.

  5. I'm sure they could be friends, but Venezuela moving in there fucks with Brazil's infrastructure/long-term plans, and with Brazil moving into OPEC+ next month, they don;t want instability in their literal backyard.

Well, what I mean is Lula ≠ Maduro. I understand that people, especially Latin Americans, think anything left of center is basically Cuba/Venezuela, but it is obviously not. How Venezuela operates as a country and government are quite different than Brazil.

  6. I was just talking with a Venezuelan colleague. The same one that said she was going to vote no. She is very good at her job but total scatter brain. So I told her about Brazil moving armored vehicles and men to the border. She asked why because she thinks Maduro and Lula are best friends. It’s always interesting to me how many Latin Americans can’t see the nuance in the political spectrum of their own region. Anyways, I told her Brazil doesn’t want instability in the region. Then I was kind of surprised, she was like “but Guyana IS part of Venezuela! That is ours.” Thus the scatter brain comment. I don’t really like talking to her for too long so didn’t press it, but it seems she thinks that it is Venezuelan territory, but doesn’t want to go to war for it.

  7. Brazilians aren’t too happy about Venezuela in general (and the immigrants).

Y’all can cut and paste to translate, I’m too lazy to translate it all.

Basically what has been said, but it isn’t much. 20 armored vehicles and some men obviously. But BOPE could probably deflect Venezuela on their own.
