  1. The brisket at Brix, just doesn't move the needle for me. Not much of a crust, not much salt, and didn't notice any pepper. The beef belly burnt end slammed though. It has a smoky earthy flavor. Hint of coffee notes. Went great with the sweet glaze. Elotes is a thumbs up
  2. I have not been to the b&m yet. But I went a few times at the trailer. I thought it was great. I love that griddle crust on my burgers.
  3. You should get there by 6am. Line could be 100 deep. Still worth it. Better go this weekend, they will not be open April 27th
  4. Ribbee's is really good. But I prefer the sauce/rub they use at the Goldee's location. The cole slaw is better at Goldee's as well. Goldee's cole slaw is not mayo based. Ribbee's tastes like Chick fil a's. ALSO, I would take a slice or two of their homemade bread over the roll.
  5. Hit up Ribbee's yesterday. Arrived at 1040, there were four cars in parking lot. No one in line yet. By 1050, a few more cars pulled in, people started to line up. At 1100, probably 15 in line. Line was a steady five deep by the time I left at 1145. They had four varieties of pork ribs and beef back ribs were also on the menu. I went with original dry rub and the sweet, wet. For me, the standard is Panther City BBQ. I like it in on the sweet side. The dry rub has no sweetness and not very peppery. The sweet was not very wet, and only a light hint of sweetness. They did not have ribs like they cook at Goldee's. And the cole slaw is not like theirs at Goldee's. Ribbees is mayo based, taste like chick fil a. I much prefer the non mayo cole slaw at Goldee's. Ribs were perfectly cooked, nice pull and the meat came cleanly off the bone. Just need a heavier dose of rub/sauce. $20 per box, come with a drink. Celebrity sighting - Jon Bonnell. The two guys he joined had already ordered and sat.
  6. Pretty wild. I didn't move to the hood till 2006. It inspired me to check out google street view. Goes back to 2007
  7. Agree! The wife is the opposite. Not a fan of a cracker crust.
  8. I went to Dayne's on a recent friday. line was 20 deep out the door when I arrived at 1130. Stayed out the door till about noon. by 12:15, the line was a steady 5-10 peeps, stayed in the building. Great stuff, just not a fan of his ribs.
  9. I have a megaslam xl with game light. Zero issues with rust or breakage. Go above and beyond with the concrete. Eff that up and it will lean.

  14. West Byers started doing this five+ years ago. It seemed the houses on the west side of Horne always seemed to have issues.
  15. Pre-order some sausage from Mikulik Sausage and Seasoning. You will love it. Might be a little out of your way
  16. Joe said to give him a call. He can make the arrangements. The guy didn't speak very good english, super nice guy though.
  17. Roof replaced as well or just gutters? I used Joe Hunnicutt - Primus Roofing, for my roof. He's got a gutter guy (husband wife team) that did a great job.
  18. it's been a few months... and from what I've been reading/hearing.... if you are in line by 8:45a, you will be served by Noon. I got in line by 8:55, the line snaked to the Goldee's sign, I was ordering at 11:55.
  19. I hope they throw on a few beef ribs
  20. just now read.... ribs only, in five different sauces... with a rotating sauce each month. How much for one rib.... in each flavor? hahaha
  21. I respect the small risk they are taking with this. I'm still wondering how sustainable this venture will be, unless they plan to offer/add other meat options. But yeah, I will check out Ribbee's within the first month they open.
  22. Highly recommend - Dr Ashley Ledger in Harker Heights. Do it.
