  1. Can you imagine how insufferable TCU fans would be if they won. Fuck that noise, go dawgs

  2. For all of you lamenting the vapidness and douchey culture that has enveloped Austin, I invite you to come to LA, where you will find real, down to earth people who don’t judge books by their cover and who don’t flaunt consumerism and image. Real salt of the earth types. Few places like it left in the world.

  3. We're a team with holes that Sark is racing to fill effectively. We were a couple of good edge rushers from disrupting their passing game more effectively. We were a very good linebacker short of slowing their running game. We need more good wide receivers to exploit more of the field. These holes make each coaching decision critical, so coaching decisions that fail are easier targets. I think we're on the right track with Sark. I'm not going to hang around to argue about it. I've seen the invection repeated ad nauseum. You're certainly entitled to your opinions and you may be right. Our minds won't change at this juncture in time. We beat OU 49-0 with a glimpse of what Ewers can be. In the bowl, we saw Ewers throw catchable long balls. The team play hard and together. I'm optimistic. Happy New Year, Surly.

  5. - Is he a locker room cancer? Don't know and, if it doesn't manifest in front of me via public discontent or poor on-field performance from the team or sideline bullshit, I don't care. That's why Sark is paid many millions. He can manage that shit. - Is he "using USC" to up his NIL. Again, I don't care as long as I don't see it. If he handles all that behind the scenes and keeps the normal "I LOVE TEXAS!" facade up, we don't care. In fact, we clamor for our money men to write him his check. But this kid thinks the people who comment on his corny Insta posts matter more in terms of money and longevity than maintaining the love of the wider fanbase. He should talk to Earl and Vince and Ricky about that. - Is it because he drops too many passes? Bijan fumbles away the Tech game, and we don't hold it against him. Xavier drops some passes, and we hold it against him. Why? It's pretty simple. Bijan Insta Xavier Insta If you love me, I'll love you back. If you don't, I won't. And you can only violate that if you're irreplaceable. And Worthy, baby, you are not anywhere close to irreplaceable. Trust me, we can get another goofy-ass duckfooted kid to stand in front of a yellow Corvette and flash fake gang signs at a gas pump and also drop clutch passes. That isn't hard to find. I WANT to love Worthy, trust me, I do. But he's got to give me something in return, either production or loyalty. Give me neither and what reason do I have?

  7. He didn’t play his senior year in high school. By all accounts he’s been busting his ass and had a great attitude about it behind the scenes. But the year off didn’t help. Here’s a New Year’s resolution for you - learn what you’re talking about so you don’t show everyone what a dumbass you are.

  8. No. DFW is uniquely bland. Its douchebags are comfortable in their banality and don’t feel the need to feign culture through colonization. Austin is overrun with the kind of douche who wears the city’s bygone weirdness as a badge of cultural legitimacy while helping snuff out the final vestiges of Old Austin with every trendy meal purchase, home tear-down, and scooter rental. It’s like if buffalo hunters posted Instagram photos doing the duckface among a sea of rotting carcasses and tags like #plainslife4ever.

  18. Amazing that the guy everyone wanted to run off last year, is now the guy everyone is hoping returns this year. Without a hint of irony of the same coaching staff that turned Jones into a quality player couldn’t also do it with players that have much higher ceilings and floors.

  21. Not sure if serious. You want to look at the stats to see the improvement or you want to look at anecdotes about how Alabama and TCU went in deep on KSU and Tennessee and Michigan while both needed officials’ help to move the ball or score against Texas’ defense? Or, hell, how Texas just held Washington two TDs under their average? Either way, your answer is there. Regardless, the Texas defense got much better with maybe one guy who’d be considered a playmaker, or at least a fumble causer. Now, add in some edge pressure, a BAMF at LB, and better guys in the secondary. There’s a lot to bitch about from the 2022 season, but defensive improvement from 2021 isn’t remotely one of them.

  24. How does them winning impact us at all? We are not even going to be in the same league for long. Is it because their fans hate us or something? I don't hate them and I don't give a shit. We have three rivals and TCU isn't one of them. So yeah it would be cool if they won.

  30. Sad fact is: TCU has had the better overall football program in Texas since 2010. Accept it. In 1970, when I was a boy, my dad took me to see Texas v. TCU at a chilly Amon Carter Stadium. Eddie Phillips ran the wishbone all over TCU to the tune of 58-0. It was one in a streak of 25+ wins in a row over the Frogs, until John Mackovic's first year, when he lost to TCU because .... you guessed it ... he did not have the players for his system. Lulz. It's the exact same excuse we hear for Sark. Lulz again.

  31. I'm old fashioned. I just go on feeling. TCU is a disciplined underdog team from Texas with an exceptional QB playing a national power. I like TCU because they've been solid and I have friends from there and they've been with us for a hundred years of changing conferences. I also do the unthinkable and pull for teams in our conference because it does impact the reputation of every team in the conference. I hope they go all the way. I also don't hold any belief that whom I root for has any impact on anything including the interests of the University of Texas, my alma mater. I like college football to be fun. The only exception to this will always be the Aggies. Never pull for a stalker.

  37. One thing I get annoyed with: the vast majority of us are complaining about Sark. Not advocating he be fired at this time. I wasn’t jazzed about the hire but thought there was a lot of potential and a lot to like despite the red flags. As a long suffering Horn fan I deserve the right to bitch about the coach. This ain’t Organgebloods sunshine pumping back in the day BS. This isn’t Texags where you can’t bitch about the coach. My crystal ball I’m looking at tells me he’s a 7-6/8-5 guy. with maybe one great Herman type Sugar Bowl winning season. Unless Sark hires a main OC. I think he will not do this. I think he will get 3-4 more years. I don’t think he can get to a CCG or a CFP without a. Main OC. That’s my opinion (unless he hires kickass aforementioned main OC.) this doesn’t mean I think he should be fired or be on the hot seat yet. I just see down the road an inevitable head coaching change before 2026. My opinion. Have earned the right to expect our HC’s to win. Not have a 13-12 record with 0 bowl wins at this stage with what I believe was a talented enough roster for at least a 18 -7 record with a an appearance in the CCG and 1 bowl win this season. And that’s on Sark. TCU is a lucky team. No question. They may or may not be mediocre for the rest of the Dykes tenure. Portal, NIL and choice of coordinators dictate that. How much of a bump they’ll get in recruiting dictates that. The same people criticIzing other posters for criticizing Sark also turn their noses down at all the other colleges having success doing things we wouldn’t. Turn their noses down at Traylor and McGuire and DeBoer types. Scoffed at the idea that Dykes could do something like this. Couldn’t wait for Mack to get fired. Blame the roster. Think our recruits are overrated. There’s just no way TEXAS could make three bad hires in a row. Just no way. The stuff the other colleges did ain’t sustainable I have been told repeatedly. We’ll get there too because OUR coach had a bare cupboard and once he gets all his guys the right way (via recruiting) we’ll be a dynasty and competing for CCG and CFP every year bc we’re TExas. Okeedokee!
