  1. Excuse me sir, I'll have you know he makes 7 figures a year and his resume speaks for itself.
  2. Lost all meaning in 1956 when Paul Hornung won after leading Notre Dame to a 2-8 record. The Heisman Committee never gets any real backlash because they can always spin it as "how dare you hate on this amazing student-athlete we chose" but they've been making terrible choices for a very long time now.
  3. Lmao at inviting a QB who threw for 20 TDs and 6 INTs to NY. Those numbers wouldn't win you a Heisman in the '90s, much less today.
  4. This is an NFL draft announcement, why is it in the transfer portal thread lol.
  5. see: 2020, when we all thought the 2021 team would be good after they slaughtered Colorado in this very same bowl.
  6. (Gerry Hamilton) Sunday recruiting thoughts: Huge week ahead
  7. Except it kind of is. Remember when Sean Taylor was the best defensive back in CFB in 2003, but was snubbed for the Jim Thorpe Award in favour of blOU's Derrick Strait? Guess who gives out the Thorpe Award. The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame, a group within the Jim Thorpe Association based out of Oklahoma City. The NFL scouts weren't fooled, of course. Sean Taylor was drafted with the No. 5 pick in the 1st round. Strait wasn't picked until the 3rd round and fell out of the NFL after a few years.
  8. Not unless TCU falls out of the NY6 entirely, which won't happen. Kansas State to the Sugar Bowl. TCU to the CFP/Cotton Bowl. Either way we're Alamo Bowl-bound.
  9. Corum's out for the season, Edwards is the backup
  10. Wait what is Purdue doing with a "World's Largest Drum". Isn't Big Bertha the biggest?
  11. The Holiday Bowl was the "didn't want to be there" bowl for the teams that just missed a BCS at-large berth. #5 Texas in 2003, #5 Cal in 2004, and #5 Oregon in 2005 all just barely missed BCS bowls, and all three went on to suffer upset losses.
