It makes no sense to put the guy who supposedly can’t hit left handed pitching behind two left hand batters who will most likely see left handed relievers. Especially when the guy behind him loves left handed pitching. I’m not even sure Dusty believes his own bullshit.
Is Brantley saying he’s not physically ready because of discomfort or because his timing still isn’t ready? Those are two different things entirely. If he’s chomping at the bit but still feels not ready, I hope that means he still needs some at bats. I’m not sure how eager he would be if he was hurting. But how much Dusty added to that or what was written who knows. I wouldn’t count on Brantley ever showing up and contributing anymore until he actually steps on the field. He’s a ghost and a rumor until then.
Seeing that Sugarland plays Friday and Saturday night and Astros play at 12:40 on Sunday there’s no way he gets to Detroit this weekend. Hopefully he meets them in Boston is best scenario now.
Brantley back to Sugarland for two games. If no Yordan I would have loved to have Brantley sitting on the bench last night for one AB instead of Julks. If that’s all he ever provides, I’ll take it in the playoffs.

I don’t know why tweets aren’t embedding. Lineup tweet. Sorry about that
Damnit. Well top of the order in the 9th. Walk this bitch off.
Kalas mentioned Yordan and I was wondering if they could have had Yordan stand in the on deck circle or just grab a bat and helmet and stand at the dugout and make believe he might pinch hit…maybe get Jake a better pitch since they wouldn’t want to walk him and load bases for Yordan?
Except Chas shouldn't be playing LF he should be playing CF and Meyers should be on the bench
Well yes but I was speaking in more generic terms of having an athletic outfielder who can make inning saving and game saving catches and Yordan is a prototype DH. Left field will still need to be addressed next year.
