Also anyone who thinks we dont delay this ban until after this summer hasn't been watching Barcelona, Real Madrid etc. We will be big spenders this summer and appeal this down to a single window.

Well, of course we'll appeal.  And I know Barca's appeal process took several months.  I don't know if we'll negotiate this down to a single window; what's the big punishment in just a January ban?  It seems likely that maybe we can take the two window ban and slide it back to January and summer of next year.  That's still a big blow, but this summer window is absolutely critical if Hazard leaves.

    You already HAVE Pulisic.

It is like not being sure if you have a sibling that has already been born and is just still at the hospital with your mom.

Pulisic has transferred to Chelsea and then gone back on loan to Dortmund until the end of the season.

How can you be a fan and not know that?

I'd thought the transfer was agreed to for next summer.  My mistake.

Wow, don’t know what to think yet about that Kepa/Sarri exchange.  That was a public disaster.

My gut says neither of them can be back next season after that.  Sarri is obviously gone anyway, and I liked Kepa, but that forces me to do a complete 180 on him.

But then there's the looming transfer ban.  So I don't know.  Can you kick Kepa to the curb without a replacement?  And if Hazard goes and we don't get Pulisic, who else goes?  Are we fucked?  It seems like we're fucked.

True Arch, but do remember that they beat us like a drum last year and yet only one of the two teams made the CWS and it wasn't them.

    Baseball's a crazy game.

Yes, especially in a short season.

And I didn't mean par in a bad way.  2-2 would have been a letdown, but 3-1 is respectable.  I think we're gonna be pretty good.

Oh Jesus not this super immigrant shit...They are just like us.  Some of them work their asses off.  Some of them spend half the day in the break room playing ping pong or take 2 hour lunches 3 days a week...  Some of them don't know shit...Some of them are brilliant.  Some of them cant work with other people and dont have open minds and some of them are great team players...

So some of them would be great hires for your company and some wouldn't.

And you're pissed off that some of them get hired over American college grads, who, as you said, could be trained to do the same job.

So if what Js1 said about it costing more to hire visa workers is true, and as far as I know it is, why would companies be willing to do that?  They're willing to invest more in a better prospect.  That's it.

And this is where right wingers' love of capitalism and love of patriotism come to a head.  "Hire American" and "buy American" are really problematic positions for a true capitalist.

If you really have a problem with these jobs going to foreigners, you should get involved with some public education lobbying.  Because you're not going to convince companies to hire inferior prospects.

  7. You seem to not know what skilled visa labor is or why companies here want it.

You mow lawns, don't you?  It's okay - it's good, honest work.  But you might want to sit the rest of this conversation out.

Skilled Visa labor isnt cheap now...What do you know about 5 to 10 years ago when most of these people I work with were getting jobs and unemployment here in the US was not so good?

    It wasn't cheap then, either.

But what if it had been?  Are you suggesting that you'd have a problem with jobs going overseas to labor that's cheaper than our minimum wage?  So you're pro-union.  So you're a Democrat.  Right?

Unemployment isnt bad now, but my company has been steadily hiring H1B visa holders for close to the last 10 years..As many as they could get, even when unemployment here was bad...

    And?
