  1. I went early June for a weekend. There are some covid things to consider (or were then). You have to register for a time slot and may not be able to get in until 1 or 2 if they’re already full. This is waved if you book a room with them. The old side isn’t open every day - think that was a staffing issue as they had a ton of people training so maybe it’s resolved now. Our last day was a Monday and only the new park was open. They also shut down the long rapids tube ride which sucked. But the park wasn’t very busy so there wasn’t a huge impact on lines while we were there. We waited at most 30 minutes for a ride but also made sure to knock out slides before crowds showed up. They open the gates about 30-45 minutes before park open and let the rides start 10-15 before official open. That meant we got 1-2 rides each slide before the masses made the waits not worth it. Drop your stuff at a table and go. I had a waterproof cell phone holder so I didn’t have to leave anything valuable behind. Kids loved it and were exhausted so overall a decent weekend. Muck and Fuss has some really good burgers.
  2. Anyone know why the secondary market is so sparse this year? Usually have a lot of options even pre season but there’s nothing out there really and what’s there is higher than I can ever remember.
  3. 2018 ousux breckyn Hager fumble recovery https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2018/10/6/17946886/oklahoma-texas-player-grab
  4. Going early august. Early season activity (elsa) makes me anxious.
  5. Yeah - that’s my understanding. His non insulated fire boxes are just pipe. This one has insulation around the pipe and a square exterior. But I think the door was the result my requested letter location based on other smokers he’s done. I think a good portion of his clients are either competition cooks or restaurants and know what the hell they’re doing. Just double checked the 2 restaurant builds he’s posted and they’re full door. Oops.
  6. It’s hard to say without seeing the inside of the box yet. It’s insulated but I’m not sure how much of the inner tube will be exposed with the door open. Guess I’ll find out (hopefully this weekend).
  7. I didn’t know what I was doing. He just built it like he’s built them before — basically just said here’s the size I’m going for
  8. Also, some surly inspired humor to brand it. DAF has become a frequent term used with friends to describe each other’s bbq.
  9. I went with the custom build and it’s almost done. He was going to do 60” x 24” using 1/4” pipe, but found a good deal on a 125 gal propane tank - so final dimensions are 68” x 24”. No idea how much meat space that equates to, but my wife signed me up to cook for a back to school event so I guess I’ll find out. I’m waiting on the powder coat then I’ll pick it up.
  10. Sorry - didn’t see this. It was sold
  11. You’re probably going want to look into a rovr https://www.rovrproducts.com/collections/rollrs
  12. Total earnings* as in career earnings. Which is why cal is #3 in the list with just 29 active players
  13. Why are the umps so horrifically bad at their jobs?
  14. I’m sleepy. Who does Bryce Harper even play for
  15. What the fuck was that? These umps suck
  16. So overshooting the size a bit, but 100 lbs+ of brisket that’s DAF seems like a good value proposition.
  17. How long is it? Was thinking 6 briskets is probably the max I’d do. In a pinch I could throw a couple on the primo. The welder said 60” x 24” would be about $2700 - no trailer. Not sure if that fits 6.
  18. More of a mix. I don’t need to tote around, but I’d like to be able to do multiple briskets. I have a primo xl now that I’d still use for smaller cooks (up to 2 briskets).
  19. Dallas. I was also pointed to kcw smokers yesterday. He’s a welder out of grandview and his prices seem pretty reasonable for custom work.
