Won't spoiler this since I have no actual inside info, but it's obvious...

The girl was contacted/recruited by some weird cult group thing, she led her brother to the cave, then killed him with a rock when he wasn't looking or something and ran away on her own accord. She joined up with the cult and lived in hiding since then. All that was given away by the last words the dad said to the son: "Watch out (or look out? can't remember exactly) for your sister". Phrase with a clever double meaning that I caught right away.

You can all zelle or paypal me $9.95 when I'm proven right.

Did you pay any attention to the first two episodes?

I seem to recall one of the detectives clearly stating that the boy's neck was broken.  No way the little girl does that or is she able to move the boy into the cave.

Coincidentally, I was listening to the Hardline on the Ticket last night, and they had a segment on TD3.  Corby mentioned that Scoot grew up two blocks from his house and was going to try to get him on a segment.

    Dear DDD Dad:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the current operations of the federal government. I understand the importance of funding programs that support our national defense and protect our borders, and I appreciate having the benefit of your comments on this important matter.

A partial federal government shutdown creates further uncertainty and instability in the economy. I am eager to end the partialshutdown and move ahead with the fiscal and economic reforms our country so urgently needs.

In 2018, Congress enacted five appropriations bills that provide funding for 75 percent of the federal government agencies in Fiscal Year 2019, including the Departments of Defense, Energy, Labor, Health and Human Services, among others. However, on December 22, 2018, funding for certain federal agencies lapsed due to disagreements over funding levels for important border security priorities, resulting in a partial federal government shutdown.

I share the frustrations of many Texans, and I will continue to work with my colleagues on a path forward to end this partial shutdown. It is my hope that an agreement can be reached quickly to reopen the all federal agencies, while strengthening security at our nation’s borders.

I am honored to represent Texas in the United States Senate, and I will keep your views in mind as the appropriations process moves forward. Thank you for taking the time to contact me.

    Sincerely,

    JOHN CORNYN

A lot of words saying basically nothing.

    My response:

    Senator Cornyn,

I'm not sure I understand your frustration.  You and the Republican Party are in the unique position to end this shutdown today, simply by bringing to a vote a host of bills submitted to the Senate by the House since the new Congress was seated.  Or, the majority of the Senate, undoubtedly joined by the entire Democratic members, could bring to a vote the same bill they approved by acclamation in December.

The only things preventing an immediate end to the shutdown is President Trump's stated unwillingness to sign any bill that does not include over $5B for additional wall funding, and your Senate Leader's refusal to bring any bill regarding reopening the government to a vote.  Democrats and Republicans agree that funding for border security is necessary and have agreed to that; they simply disagree to additional funding strictly for construction of a wall that would not be an effective means of increasing border security.

I urge you to cease writing platitudes regarding looking forward to resolutions while doing nothing to in fact resolve anything.

The voters (I was one of yours) are watching.

  4. I'm far from well-informed on this but from what little I have seen the concern over addressing the Northern Ireland and Irish Republic border is pretty significant.

It's like no one thought this through beforehand.  Reminds me of how another administration currently operates.

While I take stuff from The Daily Beast with a grain of salt, I am convinced Israel is complicit in this whole shit show as well.  Fuck them too.

Well they did get their commitment for us to move the embassy, so there's that.

  6. Serious question:

Can someone help explain to me the Deripaska sanction lifting thing?  I have read in a few places (but not have not done a deep dive) wherein it does not appear to me to be a simply black and white issue about whether the sanctions should remain against the corporations if they still apply to his ownership.  I was under the impression that several European countries and many banking/financial entities are in favor of lifting them.  I don't care to spend hours going through everything but would appreciate a quick analysis of this.

I assume the answer is that by letting the corporate entities continue to do business that somehow Deripaska will nonetheless retain or hide ownership to accomplish the same end as a full withdrawal of sanctions, or something like that.

    TIA

jeff foxworthy's entire career is about stirring the conservative milkshake and making them proud of their ignorance. larry the cable guy is a completely contrived act. this dude used to have cable wire wrapped around his head. then he went full on get-r-done and i fully blame him for the guy fieri's of the world.

this guy sound like a redneck to you?

don't tell me this comedy tour wasn't completely contrived around hoodwinking a conservative audience.

It's like no one's ever done that before.

  8. Imagine if there was a LEFTist version of Fox News, what would the stories look like?
The benefits of interracial dating!    What an open borders policy would mean for the economy.   Syrian refugee family saves charter school kids from a burning school bus.   Why elderly Caucasians are of little value to society.   Mexican philanthropic group raises money to help support local law enforcement.   Why the urban community is significantly better at sports.    Reallocating defense spending to education, a radical idea?

So basically the Surly cloak room?
  9. scoot mcnairy.  he was great in Argo too.   I think he grew up in dallas and spent some time in austin before going out to LA.  don’t know where he went to high school but considering his age I assumed someone here probably knows him.

He went to the Shelton School (where my oldest went), and graduated from Lake Highlands HS.
