tatsu-ya ramen is overrated.  i mean, i'll go there if someone else chooses it, and it is pretty good, but it does not warrant the hype or the lines at all.  michi is superior.

Agreed. Spread the word and tell all your friends.

    Am I missing anybody here?

Nice. Total rushing yards Ced B would come in at 5 on that list. Total yds from scrimmage Eric Metcalf. Not too bad of a squad.

Anyone stalling with 10 plus minutes left is a pussy, do you ever see coach k getting a big lead by getting quality shots and then deciding to go super slow stall? Shaka is terrible and that’s why he did that. I hate that shit in football too with an entire qtr left let’s run “ rb dive” 3 times and punt to milk 2 minutes off the clock. Fucking dumb and it almost always backfires.

With about 9 mintues left in the second  up by probably 17-18 I watched a possession where we passed up three beautiful wide the fuck open shots only to pass the ball around the perimeter another 15 seconds and be rushed into a shitty, contested long two that bricked off the rim.

Went to High Five last night. Food was good but it’ll last maybe 6 months. It doesn’t know if it wants to be a cool hangout for adults on a night out or be family friendly. As a result, it’s neither.

Driving by last Saturday night it looked like the parking lot was packed. Might've been some Cover 3 crowd though. How different is it from the Goodnight inside?

  5. At about what point did the shows abandon the daily call-in segments? Was it gradual over a few years or did everyone pretty much decide to drop them all at once?

I remember riding around in the car with my pops in the mornings/evenings and can distinctly remember call-in conversations being prominent on all shows. Anyway, yada yada, fast forward to early 2010's and I start listening again and they're non-existent, thankfully.

Allow me to play devil's advocate here. The summer following our disastrous 2015 season, Bob and Dan had Dan Orlovsky on Bad Radio. Orlovsky was just getting into media  at the time and I believe he was writing for Pro football focus or one of the other football analytics websites. The discussion was mostly centered on Linehan, his offensive philosophy, and how the 2014 and 2015 season totally diverged from what he did in Detroit. About 3/4ths of the away into the convo Orlovsky, totally unsolicited, offered up some color on Kellen Moore. Talked about how dude was an offensive prodigy and would make up plays on the spot (both in games and in practice). Mind you Moore was coming off a season on our practice squad and neither he nor Romo had been hurt at this point during the 2016 training camp. So bringing this up about Moore seemed out of left field, but he went on and on about Moore's football mind and how he was a true prodigy with to respect to how he sees offensive football. I'm going to lean on this as to why the Cowboys seem so determined to keep Moore as part of the staff. Maybe it's all bullshit, but here's to hoping we somehow discovered our own Mcvay. I'm sure the interview is still on Bob and Dan's website if you search for it. They usually archive all of their interviews.

DMN posted some highlights from a recent Orlovsky appearance on Ben and Skin:

Was Kellen Moore too young, too inexperienced to be fit as the Cowboys QB coach this season?

Orlovsky: "I believe that Kellen's certainly capable, and you can make the case that that kind of showed itself this year. I know a big difference was when Amari Cooper came to town, and everyone knows the impact he had on the offense. But you saw [Dak Prescott]'s play get better and better. And I would probably say he was the better quarterback on the field in that playoff game loss. You can make that case and the film doesn't lie.

"So, I believe that Kellen is completely capable to continue to lead that quarterback room. And the big part of it is going to go back to who they want as the coordinator, and does the coordinator have a guy that he wants, or does he believe in Kellen?

"I know this. Kellen is on the fast track to being a really, really, really sought-after football coach. I believe that. Because he's grown up in an era that is going to fit the NFL right now and in the future.

" ... This is my perception on what the Arizona Cardinals did with Kliff Kingsbury - just because you're old, or older, doesn't mean you're good at what you do. And just because you're young, or younger, doesn't mean you're not good. And so, the proof is in the day-by-day results. And I believe that the day-by-day results of the quarterback room, and the quarterback's performance this year proved that Kellen Moore is certainly capable and performing at a high enough level as the quarterback coach to be there."

Hate to tell you but the main reason they have so much Kellan love is because Dak really likes him. I personally do not get all the Moore hate on here. QB coaches are usually not former 6 times Pro Bowl QB, they almost always are career back up QBs and journeymen QBs if they were even NFL QBs at all. They like the philosophy that they already use they just want a different voice so in all likelihood it will be someone on staff or someone with the same ideas. The scheme itself is still very sound it was the playcalling that had gone stale. I am not saying Moore is the answer at all or even that I want him as the OC but you could see this coming a mile away.

This right here. Kellen Moore looks pretty dopey, but why everyone else hate him so much? The dude's one year as QB coach did not see meteoric improvement for Dak but he did move back in the right direction after a mostly poor second year last season. I'm not saying I'm thrilled about Moore but I also don't quite know what all of our hate is rooted in? The fact he sucked as a player? Doug Pederson was a career backup. Sean McVay? Never played a snap. I also get on paper it seems "safe" and just another yes man forr JJ and Garrett to have under their thumbs but what do we have to prove that by? The guy is young, Dak apparently likes him, he might very well have some good ideas.
