  1. Finished it and I agree. Think S3 was kind of a slog, but (even being ridiculous) thought they wrapped up Season 4 and the series pretty well. Solid series for what it was.
  2. Anyone you face is tough, but agree if we can get past Madrid then Chleski/Porto is better than City/Dortmund/PSG/Bayern. In one game, anything can happen.
  3. Yeah, that’s a great post. Very reasoned. I think he just didn’t dig her. That happens. When you look at it, you’re right the reasons don’t make a lot of sense because he’s trying to work this angle in. Plus he doesn’t come off as genuine. One of the worst guys for this show they’ve had. Don’t think he knows what he’s looking for or ready.
  4. A couple episodes into season 3 of Banshee. At the point, where I think the show is dumb, but need to finish it. Would call it fun, but not great. Love Job though, GREAT character.
  5. hats off to the back line, especially Kapab/Phillips but also impressed with Trent back there as well. Worse Mane performance I can remember. Almost cost us at the end. Take it to the corner or hit Robertson on the overlap. Just don't dribble into a double team and lose the ball.
  6. My kid and I both thought that was wide and hit the back of the net. Were we the only ones?
  7. Started Banshee last week based on this thread. It's very dumb and very fun. Not bad for a TV show.

    Austin FC

I live in the burbs(Flower Mound) but drive in a decent amount to catch Liverpool games in Addison. My kid plays soccer (in town) all over the place and don't mind driving that far. I was at the opening game in '96 and when they opened up Toyota Stadium, which I LOVE. We get out to a game or two a season, but my issue is that I kinda just don't know or care about the team. I try every once in awhile, but there's only so many %&$+s to give and FCD/the Burn haven't given me any through the years. Regarding the stadium location I'd say it doesn't help, but not a deal breaker for a lot of us. Hard to get excited about the club and that speaks to the marketing game you refer to. Who is FCD? A club that develop a ton of home growns and where McKennie played his youth soccer. yea....
  9. I listened to the book. thoughts and prayers

FCD and original Dallas Burn season ticket holder here. Have been following the Austin FC development from a far. I'll be honest, if it were in a different state, I'd probably just switch but that seems wrong. Soon we'll be rivals but I'll have soft spot for some time I think. It's weird how many soccer fans there are in DFW, but FCD sees to have ignored so many of us. Packed bars for Liverpool/manu/Spurs/etc. games and especially for the USMNT, but they haven't been able to use that to generate/hold the interest from that community. Some is likely the stadium location, but there are bigger issues imo. Hope Austin avoids those.
  11. on second and third looks, it looks like a an early 2000's manu kit. The stripes are beyond dumb looking. oh well.
  12. yeah a whole lot of meh, as expected. As long as the money is there. Haven't heard much, but hope it works out.
  13. Acho seems to be edging for a permanent role. Would seem hard for them to put Harrison back I think. The on-air personality and best-selling author replaced Harrison following an ongoing racism controversy for the franchise — which currently has its first Black bachelor in Matt James — that saw the longtime host step away for a period of time. Explaining a little bit of what happened, Acho recalled that Harrison tried to go to the defense of Rachel Kirkconnell, who became the subject of scrutiny after images surfaced on social media of Kirkconnell attending an "Old South" plantation-themed college party in 2018. "Chris Harrison, he was — as he would admit — was ignorant and he was arrogant in saying that in 2018, what Rachel Kirkconnell did wasn’t that bad, Chris Harrison’s words, not necessarily my own," said Acho. "And we’ve all kind of acknowledged and called to the attention, ‘no, no, no, in 2018 it was just as bad. We are more aware now, but 2018, acknowledging and dressing in the attire of an Antebellum south plantation is just as bad as it is today." Colbert went on to ask Acho if had an opinion about whether Harrison should "be dismissed for good for this, or [if] this is an opportunity for education and redemption?" Acho was quick to note that he "doesn't believe in cancel culture." Though, as he explained, he does believe in accountability. "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction and that can be a law of Newton or that can just be basic common sense," said Acho. "[Harrison] had an action and he is currently dealing with the reaction from that. Should he return to that role, you have to decide, what’s in the best interests of Chris Harrison? What’s in the best interest of the show and the executive producers, but also, what’s in the best interest of the cast? They’re trying to commit to diversity, they had their first Black bachelor, what’s in the best interest of all three of those primary parties at play, and make the decision that serves the most good." https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/emmanuel-acho-on-whether-chris-harrison-should-return-to-hosting-the-bachelor-i-dont-believe-in-cancel-culture

I also thnk I'm an idiot. I think this is only a partial schedule. Didn't think through that. Just saw a few away games and then the gap.
