Always a rye for me w/ my OF (and most other whiskey cocktails)

Yeah. After that KState series, we need to show that we can win on the road against real competition. A&M and OU will give us that opportunity. Gotta get better pitching from Nolan.

I think he goes in the 1st round. Probably around 25. His footwork and technique are the best of all the tackles this year. His size (weight) won't be an issue.

I’m pulling for Rory too. Not sure how I feel about Reed yet.

That was about the time of the bumper stickers.

So happy I've found Old Overholt. It's essentially Bulleit. Contigo in Austin makes the best Old Fashioned I've had in awhile.
they also make a fantastic whiskey sour.....My drink of choice.
I like an old fashioned, but LOVE me a sour. My typical mix uses Bulleit Rye, fresh lemon juice, agave nectar in place of simple syrup, and an egg white. I mix 2 drinks at a time and use 1 egg white per 2-drink shaker.

Good lunch hour, found a good independent store in N Austin. Weller Antique (39.99 for a 750ml) and EH Taylor small batch. Also had Eagle Rare but didn’t buy it (39.99 also.) EH Taylor Rye also but didn’t want to spend $70.
you gotta help a brother out here. What store? I called that Westlake Twin Liquors you mentioned up-thread and they had just sold their last Weller 12 bottle.

I just picked up some Blade & Bow and some McKenna at Twin Liquors on Lake Austin. They have one bottle of Whistle Pig rye left.

Grandy isn't even running second team right now. I wouldn't pencil him in as a starter yet.

Van Halen, 1984 tour. FEC. I was 14 years old. Eye-opening experience.
I remember David Lee Roth saying something like "Sorry we're tired tonight. I have the hotel room next to Alex and last night the girls were up all night banging on his door. I finally went over at 3am and LET THEM OUT AALLLLRRRRIIIIGGGGGGHHHHTTTTT!!!!! YYYYEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!" Which for a 14-year old was pretty much the greatest story I'd ever heard.
Mine too. I was 15. Do you remember Michael Anthony's "solo"? He rolled around on the floor with his Jack Daniels bass guitar. Quite the contrast to Eddie's performance and skill.

The photos in this thread are all awesome but it reminded me of this site making fun of terrible band photos and cliches. The comments are what make it great. You'll never look at brick walls or train tracks the same again.

Man, I remember the hype around this podcast. None of the issues raised in the podcast made me think the conviction was wrong or that he was innocent. I was surprised so many people took issue w/ it.

Albert was no Kevin Mitchell, but he wasn't exactly a choir boy either.
-
For big arena shows, it has to be Bruce Springsteen in Austin at the FEC. April 2000. Unbelievable.
Smaller venues, maybe the Tragically Hip at Liberty Lunch. Can't remember the year, but around 1990?

But I got 'em lining up, and not just skanks, either. Well, some are.

this can be a game changer for sure.
