Didn't Jake Majors call him out in yesterday's media availability? IIRC, he was praising him pretty highly, so I think he's a keeper.
Aaron Bryant received praise from Majors.*
*Let me clarify, the tweets I saw regarding Majors’ comments were about Bryant. There’s a chance he spoke about Bledsoe as well, I haven’t watched the newser. But he definitely gave Bryant a big shout out.

What a weird thread now, combined from how many sources? I was following thru the Football board “Glove” version, I’m assuming a busy DT thread was merged and now we have a Frankenstein’s monster. Eh, he was a monster so I guess apropos.
-
Nah, he’s now beating up naive olds at the OTF site. One of them snapped at Henry James the other day, it was a sight to behold.

Burrell was allegedly driving the other car?
And Nahlin is reporting Burrell is no longer part of the Texas program.

If posting a screen shot is your way of asking if Gerry named names, he did not, which is smart on his part. The italicized section was all he wrote (the link is there for you to check out the comment yourself). The newsworthy part is GH saying one player is a “done deal.” I take that to mean an incoming transfer.

When GH says there’s a “done deal,” it would seem to indicate a deal has been done to bring in a new player: I don’t think you talk about your departing players in terms of “deals, but my assumption could be wrong. Besides, we already know we need what, six or seven on the current roster to leave to make it to the 85? So yes, there will be departures.

Does this populate as a viewable post, or just a link?
If not, Gerry Hamilton posted this at the OTF site (in the same thread where the guy was de-pantsed by CTJ and RGBIII). Scholarship numbers/transfer portal activity the subjects being discussed, so I take this as good news we have a late window transfer on the way.
Two names were brought up yesterday while on campus for the recruiting event. One is a done deal in a couple of weeks.

Ever since I first saw his roster photo I thought he had that Ezekiel Elliott style face/body disconnect. Of course, Zeke went on to add a few (several) pounds to make it more of a match, but I agree with your Blue take. And put me in the “Blue will be the lead back before it’s said and done” camp. Just too explosive, sees the hole better, and we need to see CJ overcome his nagging injury issues. I think Blue is gonna crush it this year.

No track stats this year, but last year ran 12.1 in the 100
I suspect he’s faster or as fast as anyone in the RB room not named Jaydon Blue. He doesn’t get caught.
If anyone hasn’t watched his Hudl, please do. It’s one of the damndest things I’ve ever seen, he goes 5:40 without ever being tackled, and there were other TD runs that could have been edited at the top to make that an even longer stretch. Many of the runs are of the 70-80 yard variety, in a high level of competition. His ability plus his 100% desire to be a Longhorn (he wept when he got the offer, Texas is his dream school) makes this kid a take all the way (not saying utfan87 is against the take, just replying to the track times comment).

Rink was a freshman when Jeter and Patton were seniors. And no one should confuse Rink with those two because they were studs, which Rink never was.
Those other guys may have been better, but Rink was cold. And slippery.

I know we have discussed this stuff before, but some/a lot of the posters on the guru boards are special forms of stupid. I know Surly has its share of complete imbeciles, but wow. I haven't read 247, IT, or OB in forever and a day, so you forget about this stuff. On OTF now and some of it is unbelievable.
There's the one type of poster who views any opinion other than that coming from a $9.95er as completely ignorable while at the same time hanging on a $9.95er's every word. You can forget about this, but when seeing it unfold in real time, it's a stark reminder of the outsized kind of weight the paid guys carry. That's hard to do with someone weighing close to a metric ton, such as Ketchum, but it's real. There are thousands of readers who think that Ketchum/Boyd/Nahlin/Richardson/FCB/Bohls/Golden are providing them with real insights about the program or recruiting.
Then you have the guys who truly are remarkable in that they appear to be adult humans surviving in society without any basic notion of reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Whatever is overtly written or said by guys like Bobby or Gerry is only what can be concluded. Nothing else hinted at or vaguely touched on matters, no reading between the lines, just black and white simpleton silliness.
Another type is the guy who thinks everyone needs to see and hear his every thought, usually in the form of a new thread. Tell them otherwise, and you're offending them and they'll start asking the moderators to intervene. These are the worst kind of posters.
Finally, there's the old guy who is new to the Internet and has no fucking clue how anything works. They're using their real names, they divulge a bunch of personal information, they think things like "I played sports in junior high, I know what I am talking about" and believe that with a straight face. These men wear their old iphones in a case on their hip. They have a keychain hanging from a belt loop with more than 10 keys on it for everyone to see. On weekends, they wear jorts with long white socks pulled up to their knees and their collared shirt is tucked into the jorts. These people are experts on the board who likely know more than even the gurus. They're constantly intervening to correct opinions and they're totally unironic in their intent to shape the board discussions to suit their outlook.
CTJ is diving back in at the OTF site! This will be fun to watch.

Other kids are Tory Blalock, who is a fantastic athlete and D1 RB recruit, then a kid going to Iowa for track, and another to TCU for track. Watkins on the anchor. We were there. Perfect conditions and a perfectly executed race.
So, Nigel, they really cranked it to 11…

Good god, man, you really are broken to have dredged that sojourn down agony lane from your active/subconscious at 4 in the morning. I hope healing is on the way.

In the 80's? I was around Austin then and vaguely remember something like that, but I might be mixing it up with that poor girl who got murdered on West Campus by some Delt. The murderer was a friend of a friend and we were completely blown away. Are those different events?
This thread now has a chance to take an ENORMOUS derail…

Just looked him up. He’s an Oklahoma State graduate and he grew up in Oklahoma (though born in Texas). What’s his connection to the Longhorns?
Not everyone stays a fuckhead their entire life?
Seems he was born in Texas (as mentioned above) and never lost his love for the state. I remember he was buddies with Mack. This article from several years ago has more background, though it never mentions Oklahoma State.
https://texassports.com/news/2009/7/11/071109aaa_243.aspxQuoteYou're representing Texas in the show, how did you become a fan of the Longhorns?
I grew up in a little town called Spearman, Texas. My dad turned me into a Longhorn when I was about two years old. That's as simple as it gets. I've been a Longhorn ever since. Kevin played for Oklahoma. Every Saturday, we're always the ones cooking and everybody else comes over. It's been an ongoing joke for 20 years. We always say when we're down at the smoker and it's hot, and everybody else gets to have the cold beverages and eat and watch football, we're always so busy because we have people over. Every Saturday we think, "We should be getting paid for this," never meaning it, but as a joke. Now we're hoping that comes to fruition and we can get paid for it.- 4
