Fountain needs to be under the tent

Raise your hand if you’ve had a swim in the lbj fountain.

  2. Don’t give a shit who they pick.  The ULL and arky games will settle this decision … win both and the decision is validated.  Lose one or both and they made the wrong choice and will go with the other guy.

My first live & in person Texas game was the 1981 SMU game at Texas Stadium.  9-7 Texas win.  I went with a church high school group.  Back in the days when Texas had a kick ass defense.

I was there.   Older brother was a freshman at Texas.   That defense was violent … and dont forget they were playing on the bullshit concrete / artificial turf at Texas stadium back in the day.   Those dudes were tougher than nails.  Pain meds must have been abused big-time back in the day.

I'd simply say this. Jack had slightly better numbers in a time where the talent level on tour was poor.

I'd also say that Tiger at his best was unquestionably better than Jack at his best.

Injuries and pussy kept Tiger from reaching the majors number, but don't kid yourself. He's easily the best to ever play the game.

What a fucking idiot.  Tiger had his shot but pissed it away on pussy and other shit I’m not getting into.

He was a fake brit who pretended to barely care about American Football but then obviously had an agenda. Probably a Piggie or A&M fan I would guess.

What the hell did WB say?   I have kids in the  mix in west campus and they have heard some some stuff.  But I sure as hell ain’t going to post it on this site or any other.

just tragic for any parent and siblings ...  looking forward to having my whole clan here for  Mother’s Day this weekend.   This hits way too close to home.  God bless that family.

  6. RIP Jake and god bless that family.  I have kids in that west campus circle and they knew Jake well ... just tragic.   Hits very close to home and I can’t imagine ever getting that phone call.  Not going to post what I’m hearing right now ... just want my flock home (and safe) for the summer.

We were at that 2001 game and one of the guys in our group was a Simms fanboy and just about stroked out when he was pulled for Applewhite.  It didn’t help that rest of us were all screaming to put Applewhite in the whole time.

Was there in the end zone and had a serious drunk going on from all the games prior.    Never seen a game turn like that one with Simms meltdown.  Then the comeback with Major and the letdown at the end.  Absolutely exhausted walking out of the stadium at the end of the game.

That one stung but I’ve seen far worse performances in big games by the horns.

  8. Who gives a shit.  College football has turned into the the top 3 and some random fourth team that doesn’t belong (sometimes ou).

The playoffs have ruined what used to be a great regular season and several kick ass bowl games that everyone watched.   I miss the arguments  about who was best and even the years when we had split national championship teams.  The rivalries were better and the hate was real.

    and get off my lawn.

  9. RIP coach.

My first year there was 1986 and to be honest it wasn’t a good year.  We went 5-6 with a bad loss to OU.  Lost to arky, aggy, tech, Baylor, and Stanford also.   And that was it for Fred.   Toxic Texas isn’t that different today when the shit hits the fan (other than the internet and social media).

Growing up I saw a kickass game with SMU in the early 80s at Texas stadium and I was ‘hooked’.   Always loved Fred and the badass defense he put on the field.   By 86, the defense just wasn’t as talented which I’m sure has something to do with the ridiculous cheating in the SWC.

And fuck Mike Barnes.  I knew him in 86 and he should know better.   What the fuck has Mike Barnes done in his life that would remotely justify shitting on coach Akers?  What a dickhead.
