dude, the waddle stuff was always in jest.  but anyone who actually thinks urban goddamn meyer is going to be the coach at UT consumed a lot of paint thinner during their developmental years.

Weren’t you the same guy that posted about 500 times that the brocks were coming to Texas?

basically you don’t KNOW anything ...  ignore.

Just a reminder that we had him dropping into coverage last year instead of playing on the line.

You beat me to it.  We really need to have this guy in coverage.  Clearly it’s not working having him rush the passer from the end.

TCU figured out our OL is 4 bags of shit and Cosmi.

TCU figured out that you can go press coverage with lots of grabbing and you won’t get burned deep.   Our guys can’t separate enough to make the officials call it.    This allows them to commit more to the line of scrimmage, run blitzing, and a spy for Sams running. The biggest problem now is Sam can’t run due to his injuries.  I would think it’s time to pull Sam if he can’t run.

In Gundy’s presser this week, at the end, he was asked what the Texas series means to his program since they’ve won 7/10.  His answer was that “somebody” decided that Texas has the most talented roster whereas not one player on his roster had a Texas offer.  That’s probably bullshit, but clearly that’s his spiel to his team for this game.  You were not even offered by them.  They passed you up for someone else.  You are going to show them why they were wrong.

Yeah that shit matters for the first couple snaps. A big game is a big game.  Both teams will be dialed in.   I haven’t seen Texas play a game with their ass on fire yet.  Too many mistakes.

Maybe it happens this week and if so Texas has a good shot of winning and winning convincingly ... if not, then it’s probably not going to happen this year.

This entire conversation is hilarious to me because I turned it off after Baylor missed their 4th down conversion and went and got a massage.

I don't give a fuck what happened after I quit watching because:

    1. We won, Baylor lost, and it didn't change that outcome.

    2. Herman is still the coach.

    3. Oklahoma State is going to filet and pan sear this team until all the juices come out and pretty soon after that Herman won't be our coach anymore.

So, who gives a fuck? Go enjoy your Saturday and the fact that we have 7 days in front of us where we don't have to watch this fucking team and try and figure out how to feel about what is happening between a bunch of 18-22 year olds on a football field.

It's like some of you are happy turning this shitshow into more of a beating every weekend than it already is.

Don’t underestimate the gundy factor.  They may somehow choose not to exploit our weakness in the middle of the field on defense as well as our lack of speed outside on offense.  We clearly struggle with press coverage.  Maybe their corners will be 10 yards off ...

I assume that our fans in attendance will still sing "The Eyes" on their own when the game ends. Don't need the band.

It will be piped in.   Just like the tcu and ou games.  After the tcu game they played the eot right after the clock hit 0:00.  So no chance for the players to sing it.  After ou it was several minutes until the eot was played and the players already had mostly left the field as ou planted their flag on the 50.

I’m going to the Baylor game as well.  I’m about 50% on wanting to see the game and 50% wanting to witness the train wreck after the game.  It’s frankly a disgrace but hard to look away.

  7. It’s just a toxic cocktail of hubris, naivety, and stupidity.  Why else would the athletes takes on the the elimination of the most recognizable school song in our country (with no hint of racism)?  Surely the football players had to know if they didn’t have a championship season that the reaction was going to be overwhelmingly negative.  Why fight that battle?    Just young and stupid.   A good coach and AD should have helped them and protected them.

The band going all-in in the cancel culture after the shit had already hit the fan is a head scratcher.   Again poor leadership.

  8. Well we have officially jumped the shark.  Don’t underestimate how much the cancel culture has taken hold in our young people.  In the world of social media and likes, they are desperate to be recognized and the need to ‘make a difference’ is  driving illogical choices.

God help us all.  And get off my lawn while your at it.

Armageddon or Deep Impact?   Please discuss.
