By too late for this year, you mean 2020, right? I was hoping to find a place at some point in 2021..

Yes, it's too late in the season to get on a lease at this time. Might be a good time for a three day guided hunt somewhere, so you can see if your kiddos like it. It would suck to go through all of the trouble of getting a lease, then the kids don't like it.

All right guys.. Its Deer lease time..

I grew up hunting and have been waiting patiently to share the experience with my kids, 7 and 4. I have a few other guys looking to get on a place with me but we all don't even know where to start. We are all in agreement we want an annual lease somewhere within 4 hours of DFW.. Any tips on finding a place? I am going to try basecampleasing.com but after that, I have no idea how, and even when to find a place.. I would appreciate your advice.. Thanks in advance.

Call Joe Davis (972)922-2956 . He is a family friend and at one time controlled over a million acres worth of leases. It's too late for this year, but if you tell him what you want, and what you want to pay, he can definitely line you up. Tell him Eric from SwiftLift told you to call. I will see him tomorrow, and can see what he might have coming up.

  3. If you could get it for $175,000,000 and put 20% down ($35mm) your payment would still be $600,000-650,000 a month with a good interest rate, on a 30 year note. Not sure if that could be swung even if you got out of the cattle business and covered all 142,000 acres with hookers and blow.

So the Chinese? Or maybe the Mormons?

God, I hope not. I'd pitch it to Elon, plenty of room for Tesla and SpaceX. Hopefully it goes to some Texan billionaire, the problem is going to be the bottom line. If it's like the Waggoner, the accountants will have money whipped it into a venture that is barely breaking even. Happened on the Waggoner, its great job security if you can scare away any potential buyers.

So I fibbed about sharing one last old picture (no more of college me that’s boring). This one comes with a cool story. My dad had heard Terry Bradshaw talk about drinking  pickle juice for football related reasons. So my dad gets this flask and has it engraved and goes to a deli and tells them to fill it with pickle juice. He gives it to Terry. And tells him what’s in it. You can’t see what is engraved on it but it said, “Pickle Juice: The drink of champions.” Terry laughed his ass off. Later he mentioned it on the Sunday NFL show on Fox. Cool moment anyway. Whether y’all like Terry or not. He said it was one of the coolest gifts he’d ever received from a fan. Which my dad was. I had to take a picture of the picture but whatever. My mom is wayyyyy to smiley there lol.

I have a buddy that is a roofing contractor, Terry had, or has a house in Dallas. He said he went to bid on his roof, and got the job. Terry even got up on the roof to bullshit during the inspection, afterwards he took him through his house and showed him a bunch of cool memorabilia. When he brought his crew to roof the house, Terry stayed on the roof with them. He brought drinks, told jokes, busted balls, and was just a really cool guy to be around. At the end of the day, they all came down for beers on his back porch. He is a lifelong Cowboys fan, but his favorite QB is now Terry Bradshaw, Roger Stabauch wouldn't have mingled with the hired folk.

  6. First time I went was about 11 years ago. Went to Cozumel for a buddy's 40th birthday, and got talked into the free "timeshare" dive in the pool, where they pitch a dive from the shore later that day. One of the guys with us was a certified divemaster, so we ended up with two divemasters in a group of five. The dive company was pretty shady, said we didn't have to dive from the beach, threw us on a boat, and headed out past Tormentos Reef, right south of the cruise ship pier, first dive was at about 105 feet, way deeper than an uncertified diver should have ever gone, but I was hooked.

Last summer, CHIEF Jr., Mrs. CHIEF, and I got our certification, here locally, and went back to Cozumel for six days worth of diving in December. Hotel and ten dives was crazy cheap, like $650 per person. Our stateside instructor was friends with a divemaster at Aldora Divers, so we went with him. Mrs. CHIEF was always apprehensive about diving. I was the one that taught her how to swim when she was in her 20's. But Dario, her divemaster, was patient, never got flustered or excited, and made the overall experience wonderful. Diving is now something we have started planning vacations around. We have purchased everything except BCs, regulators, and tanks. We are looking a Roatan after the pandemic dies down.

I know Rage-a-holic is a diver, I see him on the Scubaboard. So what badass places have the Surly assholes dove?

Anyone remember this band from the early-mid 80s?  Came on the scene with U2 and The Alarm with the martial, celtic sound, and arguably did it better than both.

One of the keys to their sound may have been drummer Mark Brzezicki and bassist Tony Butler, two pretty prolific Brit session guys, who have at times replaced Moon and Entwistle.

Their debut video reminds me of the Banana Splits, but with three wheelers instead of Argos.

    This looks like the old tOSU coach contract. http://media.cleveland.com/osu_impact/other/Urban Meyer Employment Contract + addendums 1 + 2 + 3 (1) (1).pdf

Check out section 4. Not hard to imagine his "fake job" or separation agreement would have similar language.

Especially paragraph 4.3. If he really thought he was hanging it up, at that time, he might have agreed to the same or a similarly worded paragraph in his Assistant AD contract.

Wondered the same thing. Maybe the front one has some pass through strings or something.

I have one that does this. It's called a spider capo:

Sweetwater sells them, I haven't used it much. When I bought it a few years back it was kinda new and there weren't very many players that had come up with many variable tunings. Gonna do the rabbit hole for a few hours, and see what folks have come up with.

I would never lend money to my sub. Although, it DOES put them more under my thumb. And the fact that you gave it a name is strange.

Plus, it’s difficult for it to earn money when it spends most of its time locked in a box in my loft.

He did a $20k concrete job for me and said just to pay the guys their day rate, and pay for the concrete. I got out for less than $10k. I feel like I took advantage, one of the reasons I want to help him so much. He is always doing nice things. Last year, for Christmas, he gave me a quilt that his MIL had quilted. It had won several Grand Championships at quilting shows. No idea what it is worth, but I assume it's probably four figures. It's a mutually beneficial relationship, and I am lucky to have him as a friend.

    Credible or creditable:

Credible first appears in the late fourteenth century from the Latin credibilis, meaning worthy to be believed. Creditable is an adjective which means deserving of acknowledgement, praiseworthy. Creditable refers to one who deserves credit.

Well, when one of his contacts is worthy of acknowledgement, and deserves credit for the leak, he needs to spill it.

    That’s fucking fowl.

Dude, not what I was inferring at all. It was a simple question. I am materialistic, in a sense that when I need something, I buy it right then, I don't wait until Christmas. That has left me in a position to do something nice for others. Just wondering if there are others like me, and if they are in the same position, do they do the same. Nothing more, nothing less. Cajun bought himself a new thermal scope for Christmas, I couldn't be happier.

Good question. I have a hard time shopping for others because I can hardly even think of anything I want for myself that is reasonable. I don't really relate much to the whims and wants of regularass average folks.

The things I really wish for are things money can't buy.

    1. You must have never been one. I've had it done for me. Just glad to get to a point in life that I can return the favor.

    2. Of course not.
