  1. I know anytime Dallas County fires off the sirens that are under a mile from my house that it wakes me up and makes me either check my phone or immediately turn on the TV to see what we're dealing with. Sometimes it is just a high wind event or hail. Other times it is a full blown tornado warning and we get everyone up, animals included, and into the area to be safe. You combine sirens with mandatory safety plans for flooding. Where to go, what to bring. You drill the campers on it when they arrive similar to what cruise ships with life preserves. Maybe they already do drills with campers, I don't know. Schools certainly do this with their students.
  2. Nothing in his American catalog is very redeemable. If you don't like The Killer and Hard Boiled, you don't like two fisted action because those movies still hold up.
  3. Well there was the whole show with the giant Epstein file binders being handed out on the White House lawn and right wing influencers being given heavily redacted copies in a vain attempt to make good on a promise they had no intention of keeping. Maybe you missed that episode.
  4. His ability to successfully gaslight his dipshit followers and make them turn on a dime will be studied for decades.
  5. I don't want to give away a pretty good gag from the new Superman movie about social media but I'll be damned if what happens in that movie doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense about why we're in this current reality with MAGA people and social media.
  6. They were all redacted I believe when it came to any names or anything that would identify the people on the list.
  7. I think Supergirl is where he's really going to get weirder since that should be a mostly cosmic/off world type movie and Lobo is a character in it. I think her being a party girl will fall very much in line with previous Gunn mythology.
  8. The quality of 90s films was top notch because Tarantino, Scorese, James Cameron, PTA, and Spielberg were all pushing the medium forward both story wise and stylistically. Movies looked better in the 90s before digital cameras took over until those cameras hit their groove in the late 00s. It's not just nostalgia or being shown over and over. There were so many original stories and everything wasn't IP based like it is now. Sure, there were lots of book adaptations like Grisham, Creighton, and Clancy novels as those were the IP money makers of that era. But think about all the original stories we got in the 90s that we no longer see. We'll get 2-3 good ones a year now if we're lucky. Sinners and F1 don't come along as much now because they rarely make money compared to consistent IP money. Most of the good original stories come out of the horror genre. Now, that doesn't excuse that there were derivatives that came out in 90s such as Die Hard in a ______ formulas for action movies. I'd still stack that decade against most other than the 70s in terms of overall quality.
  9. At least they made up for it with his walk off.
  10. Nah. Then people will act like he's a bitch. Instead, he took it in stride and kept going like the boss he is.
  11. Why did they play the aggy fight song when Sark came out?
  12. It was very important to him until he heard it was just files made up by Obama, Comey, and Biden.
