Just go out and add an offensive minded assistant coach who can overhaul the offensive side of the ball, that's all I ask.

This has been our wish for 2+ decades.  Lol.

Dug season one after expecting it to suck. Let’s go. #teamblack

I rewatched GoT not long ago and there are spoilers for how this all plays out.

Yes, I remember that.  Fortunately, I have forgotten what the spoilers were!

I do remember Joffrey giving away some spoilers.  Just going out on a limb here, I'm going to presume the Targs win because the Hightowers weren't mentioned at all in show GOT. Not that I remember anyway.

I don’t know how every team doesn’t throw their change up pitchers against us and have them throw it 80% of the time.  We just watch them until 2 strikes.

This.  I'm baffled as to why White and Singleton haven't caught onto this and changed our strategy.  Sit on that shit and take it out of the park.

Don't know how you all do it in Texas, but here's how it works where I practice:

    1) Doubt is raised over the competency of a defendant

    2) Criminal Proceedings are suspended for "restoration of competency." Defendant is sent to a lockdown mental hospital and can remain there for up to 3 years.

    3) If, after 3 years (or sooner if max punishment on the charges is under 3 years), it does not appear that the defendant will be restored to competency, the case can be dismissed OR the state can try for a Conservatorship in which the defendant can be sent to a lockdown mental hospital, potentially for life.

1a) If defense tries for the "not guilty by reason of insanity defense" then even if the jury/judge returns with a "NGI" verdict, the defendant is sent to a lockdown mental hospital until sanity can be restored; or until the defendant reaches the maximum exposure. In practice, an NGI defense can provide false hope for a defendant as they often spend longer in a locked facility than they would had they simply taken a plea deal for prison.

It sounds like, according to the quote in the article above, here 2 and 3 are skipped and the Travis County DA just dismisses the case immediately.  It is unclear whether the waitlist for the state hospital mentioned later in the article comes into play or not.

I’m about halfway through Silo does it get better? It’s kinda boring. I’m sticking around for Rebecca Ferguson but her character is kinda moody and annoying. I’ll ride it out if there is a payoff.

    Glad softball is kicking ass...

I made a conscious choice after 2019 to go all in on softball because it was pretty clear we had a great coach east of comal and a shaky one across the street.

  7. I thought some of the episodes were uneven in writing and storytelling, and I agree some of it was heavy-handed and very paint-by-numbers.  The Tuskegee episode in particular had a TV movie feel to it and just seemed thrown in there.

But I'll be damed if they didn't nail it with the finale.  I got misty at the end when they showed the real-life counterparts to each actor.  I enjoyed the series overall.

It moves at about the same rate as an automatic car seat and is supposed to stop moving when you stop pressing.   The switch on the seat back has a cover that is supposed to prevent inadvertent pressing.   So , either the cover was missing and somebody pressed the switch long enough to squeeze the captain against the controls, or the switch broke (or shorted) and wouldn't disengage and same happened.

I'm only an amateur internet pilot, but I'm gonna call bullshit on a movement like a slow automatic car seat causing an abrubt enough forward force on the yoke to cause a dive where people are hitting the ceiling.  Sounds like we had full elevator deflection.  That's more like the seat slamming forward like the old manual car seat adjustments.
