she wants class disparity and she wants to be on the wealthy side of it. . . .  She . . . want to maintain an economically-disparate class system and be on the winning side of it.

yeah, that's definitely what she was saying.

I just don't see how anyone can see this all happening and think "the govt should run healthcare."

I'll concede there is an underlying assumption that we'll elect people that care if we all die.

yeah, we'll see.  none of the h2h polls with biden have been encouraging for trump at all.

i feel like every story reads about the same (and has for years): you know, i didn't vote for trump, i don't really pay that much attention, i've always voted democrat, but you know, he's really impressed me recently with the ___________ and how he's handled the ______________.  i think the media/democrats/american people are treating him unfairly and misjudging his ability.

    fuck. these. people.

there is no such thing as an undecided voter.  nobody is winning or losing your vote right now.  that goes for trump people, biden people, bernie people, or anti-somebody people.  there are voters and non-voters.  but everyone who is going to vote knows who they're voting for (at least 98-99% do at least).  if you don't have evidence of what type of president he is after 3+ years, but somehow this has convinced you, then you're either full of shit, or you're too dumb to consume oxygen on this planet, and should be put out to pasture.

if you pull the lever for any republican in november, then you just made the list, and we'll see you at the fucking finish line.  enough with this shit.

counterpoint: turnout trumps everything.  if people are getting warm feelings for trump, voter enthusiasm goes up, turnout goes up a percent or two.

  4. i'm saving a ton.

i eat out every day for lunch, and don't like to eat garbage. probably average $18/day.

i regularly go to the coffee shop 2x per day.  about $11/day.

we will get breakfast tacos for the family 2x a week. $25 each time.

we are tired after work so eat out more than eat at home for dinner.  probably $75 per time.  so $300/week.

we have a house cleaner lady come by 2x a week.  now she's not coming at all, but we are still paying her for 1x a week so she doesn't suffer. save $140/week.

not fueling up, but short commute. probably $15/week.

    no gym.  $180/month.

no austin bouldering project, random movie nights, baby sitter whatever.  untold amounts.

extras are groceries big time, some electricity.  nothing else really.  I can't wait to get done with this and do the math.

This is panic porn at its finest.  Comparing the US to other countries is becoming more and more unhelpful because I don’t remotely trust the numbers coming in from other countries.  I think they are being severely underreported for different reasons.  At least China’s bullshit numbers aren’t on there.  I think the best gauge is comparing change in US numbers from day to day.

you can put a degree of confidence on most western countries, imo.  ignore china but look at the euro countries and say +/- 10% on them.

Looks like Spain’s starting to curve.. 5085 reported today. Down 1800 from the day before 21623d5910baba9147ea82b8f80274c7.jpg

I have a friend in Spain we're in contact with.  She says they already have draconian stay at home rules -- one of her friends was fined 600 euro for an non-emergency trip to the grocery store.  This weekend they said they are making the rules even more strict.
