  1. One time my brother and I were hanging out at the Gallant Knight(?) in Houston and ended up taking MDMA with Scarface and his girlfriend. Very cool people. That’s all I’ve got.

I enjoyed the hell out of the Gallsnt Knight the few times I was fortunate to attend. A fucking +

When my aggy cousin died in 2016, my daughter and I drove down for the funeral.  It was aggy themed.  At the end of the service, they played the aggy war hymn, at which time his younger (adult) sister yelled across the room, "That's for you knoxtnhorn!".  Ironically, that was the 2nd most awkward moment of the funeral.  The first being when one of his daughters cussed out his most recent wife directly in front of the casket.  By "cussed out" I mean screaming at the top of her lungs, "You effing bitch.  F you!".   Good times.

I don't usually think of funerals as exciting, but this one has changed my thinking.

You would think the directional names would be helpful, but its crazy in Central Texas -

Western Ribbonsnake, Western Ratsnake, Western Diamond-backed Rattlesnake, Western Coachwhip

Eastern Hog-nosed, Eastern Yellow-bellied Racer, Eastern Copperhead

    Northern Cottonmouth

It may be the damnedest thing I've ever seen.

I am in this picture of Preikestolen (pulpit rock) in Norway. A friend had a drone and took pics and video during our hike. I am on the mountain side of the crack, facing AWAY from the void. It was terrifying for me, as I have a debilitating fear of heights. But I had to suck it up and make the hike because I was the leader of the group.

Many people have no problem walking right up to the edge, dangling their feet off of it. In this social media age, many do ridiculous things like handstands also.

Zoom in on the top right corner of the pic. There is a little girl there, behind a teenage couple who have their back to her. She is not their child. I don’t know where her parents are. She’s just casually hanging out, on a 1,982 foot cliff. If that doesn’t give you the willies, nothing will.

Despite approx 300,000 visitors annually, apparently there are only 4 recorded deaths from falls there.

One of my colleagues brought this to share at the top. It was greatly appreciated.

'fjord' has always been one of my favorite words.

That hognose probably ate toad or two . . . which leads me to a story.

In sixth grade, I was pulled out of my first period language arts class by the principal.  My locker was located such that it faced the small sixth grade library and the librarian had alerted the principal about suspicious goings on with my locker.  But lets back up a bit.  The seventh grade science teacher had all kinds of cool stuff in his class, including several reptiles.  One such reptile was an Eastern hognose which loved toads.  About once a week, me and my buddy would bring a few toads to the science teacher before school.  Well, on this particular day, the science teacher was no where to be found and his class was locked.  What else is a sixth grader with a bag of toads supposed to do when the bell rings to start first period but place the bag in his locker. After my reasonable explanation to the principal and the librarian, my bag of toads was confiscated and given to the science teacher once he returned to his class the next period.

This was the same science teacher that we traded a nice Texas alligator lizard for a six foot Western coachwhip.  Can you imagine the uproar today if a teacher gave a sixth grader a six foot snake?  *not a euphemism.

Jerry, this an Eastern or Western? The pics I've seen online make me think Eastern.

Saw this guy a couple weeks ago, and just ran into him again, apparently after he/she had a little afternoon snack.

I saw this earlier and it made me laugh. But in all fairness I am glad that I went to UT when I did as it is doubtful that I could get in with today’s standards. I was a Top 10%er and not a Top 5%er.

I know that is not the spirit of this post but it is a reality.

While my original numbers wouldn't get me in to UT by today's standards, had they been the standards back when I was in high school, I would've just upped my game. No biggie.
