  1. I think Sark’s answer in the post gamer eludes to him not wanting to play the game. He says banged up, but I’d bet it’s more of a “I’m done with this group” mindset. I think he’s ready to move on to the off-season, and playing in a bowl game delays that. Only way I think he gets value out of practicing and playing a bowl game is if he commits to playing younger players who will be around next year…treat it like an NFL pre-season game (mentioned above).

One of the top 2023 pitchers

This is a huge get...as in probably the biggest of MW's tenure.  She chose Texas over LSU, Washington, UCLA and Bama.  She's already in the Team USA talent pool, having been invited to tryout last summer for the U-19 team traveling to South America next week.  She didn't make the team, but she was also the youngest participant by about 2 years.  Teagan is special.

I was big on Foster as a recruit and he played very well his freshman year.  I'm not sure what happened after his freshman year but his attempts at tackling against ou his sophomore year and his terrible effort game in and game out since then have me questioning if this guy even wants to play football.  I've never seen a guy that was a good tackler and a hard hitter become so soft.  I'm not sure if it's injuries, if he's scared to get hurt again, or if he's let the programs loser mentality permeate.  Either way, it's a bitch ass move to quit in the middle of a game, especially the first game of the season.  I lost all respect for him as a player after that.

Remind me also how many times he “quit” the team and got in and out of the portal?  Twice I think.

Herman was guilty of a lot of shit, but for me his biggest flaw was letting players quit and then come back.  And not just come back, but walk right back into starting spots.

The younger generation from Briles tree and Leach tree may all get looks with as many Texas openings this year on the carousel.   Surely UTSA opening with Traylor upgrading.  Almost certainly UNT as bad as they are.  Potentially Baylor if LSU wants Aranda.  Hell, potentially TCU if Patterson keeps losing?  Could that happen?  SMU obviously if Dykes leaves.   Harrell may have a chance to come home. I guess Cumbie gets an audition as acting head coach at Tech.  In addition to Briles Jr. (Arkie OC), people forget that is is really Lebby (not Kiffin) running that Ole Miss offense.  He will get a call as well.  You would think McGuire may get a shot as well.

UNT will be open and wants Harrell to return.

Please please please let him take some game snaps.  If that happens, fast track that decent on the roller coaster rails.  Stowers can run (or at least could before his acl) but has quite possibly the worst throwing motion I've ever seen.  As a QB I'd say he's easily worse than Calzada.  His only saving grace would be his "possible" ability to run.

  6. Coburn went to Decatur from Lewisville ISD, where he was the Asst. Superintendent over Athletics (all of fine arts actually).  I have a lot of coaching friends in LISD and they all hated that guy...said he was not a fan of athletics and actively championed against anything athletically related in that district.  They were all very happy to see him go.

  7. I heard this morning that Miranda is going to an SEC school, already has it picked out (as I understand it).  I don't know which one, but my money is on Auburn.  Close to her GF, they have a need, and the Auburn coach has a tight connection to the travel club Miranda played for.  But War Eagle is just a guess on my part...all I was told was SEC.

Frankly I'm surprised she isn't going to Arizona with her sister.
