Rumor is Sullivan has quit the team. Not in the portal, just quit.  I haven’t been able to verify if true, but did hear it from a prettt reliable source.

Their incoming class is currently something like 6 pitchers, so I really hope that Hope doesn't look at them and want to go there.  Texas really only has Shea, Ryleigh and Sophia.

Sorry to tell you, Trautlein committed to blOU today.

From their signees, Jordan Bahl is a pitcher (and is a badass) who can hit also.  Emmy Guthrie is a pitcher who will never pitch.  Those are the only to pitchers they signed.  Trautlein, Bahl and May will be the main 3.

Ok but what about his pitching coach? He staying at TCU?

No idea.  Schloss will want to take him, I'm sure, and I'd think he'd be a top candidate to take over.

Not only is JMU the first unseeded team to win their first game since 2008, that bracket now features every team OU has lost to this year (OSU, Georgia, JMU).

Remember the WCWS has the quirky rule that the losers of the 1-0 games tomorrow flip brackets.

OU's road to even make the finals looks like:

    • Saturday - beat Georgia
    • Saturday - beat loser of UCLA/Alabama game
    • Sunday - beat winner of OKState/James Madison
    • Sunday - beat winner of OKState/James Madison a second time

    I just don't think it's doable.

    She’s coming home

Ok, I'll admit it, I may have jumped the gun.  Was told yesterday that she was Texas bound, and was told tonight that after phone calls today Texas may be in 5th place at best.  OU, UCLA, Alabama and Florida have all made contact.

UNT stud pitcher and Pflugerville native and “lifelong Texas fan” Hope Trautwein is in the portal.

Easiest grab for Mike since his Oregon transfers?

    She’s coming home

WTF was there an hour between the first two games?  No need to get fans in and out when they have all day passes.

Both teams have to get on the field to warm-up bodies, arms, etc.  Then both teams get to take full IF/OF warm-up.

Also, TCU just got hosed on a HBP that turned into a non-HBP and K instead (thanks to replay). But the fascinating part is that thanks to the CoVid rule about coach/umpire conversations and coaches not being able to cross the foul lines, Schlossnagle was ready to light some umpire up, but they overturned the call and all of them proceeded to move to the middle of the IF and not even go over and acknowledge him. Honestly it’s kind of a chickenshit rule that allows umpires to blow a call and then run and hide.

This is where I'm at with it. I won't lie, once apathy set in this season, I didn't pay attention to the in-game game as much as normal, but

    a) goes without saying

    b) a QB with good sideline and out throws helps that situation out tremendously, and that wasn't Sam, this year or ever.

I know I'm a couple of pages late with this, but I want to add that Coleman probably gets the biggest pass from the last staff.  One of the podcasts recently talked about how much Tom meddled in the WR room...something to the effect of "he played it in college so he wanted to control the room and every aspect of the position."  Which further led into the complete whiffs we've had with recruiting WR.  Pretty much said that WR offers were not allowed without Herman's approval, and that he drug his feet badly on them because he wanted to evaluate them himself.

Any info on why the move to Flower Mound? Is it just for football? Any UIL issues?

Not sure about Flower Mound specifically, but kids/families on the West Coast have been flocking to Texas since August because of the CoVid shutdown on the West Coast.  Hell, even NM athletes have been coming in since all sports in NM are shut down.

  10. I have seen a copy of UTSA's schedule, and they are coming to a tournament at UT in March, along with Univ. of South Dakota and UTA.  Fairly certain that's likely to change, but it's on the schedule they gave their athletes this past week.  It also has a start date of Feb. 12-14.

FCB says Bo Davis is expected to be on staff.....they have to have a DC in place already right? No way can we be hiring these position coaches lined up with out the DC...?

Ya, so who is the DC?  Connect the dots between Bo Davis, Blake Gideon and whoever it is.  Cause no way the DC takes the job without approving of these position coaches.

I read it, it doesn't actually say anything other than the Lions and the Jags are kicking the tires on the possibility.  Doesn't even say if he's interested or not.

  13. I’ve been in the conspiracy theory camp that this is all a ploy until after tOSU’s season is done. But now I have no flipping clue. One of the podcasts this week was discussing how men’s basketball having a good season may be the savior for TH. Essentially they said that Shaka was on the hot seat and close to being fired, but CDC chose to stick with him and now it looks like the right move. They said that could lead CDC to doing the same with Herman this year.

Bloody hell...in 2020 it’s possibly that Shaka Smart saved Tom Herman’s job. What a time to be alive!
