Cool. Thanks. It was kind of an unknown when I went to graduate school at Tulane. However, it was one of my favorites. For a student, it was still somewhat affordable but the food was up there with the best. I figured it would have died after Katrina because it wasn’t in a touristy area.

It's still damn good and a fun atmosphere.  Alligator cheesecake and the fried chicken are solid.

Question about Jacques-Imo’s . 20 years ago (pre-Katrina), I used to frequent a restaurant off of Oak St. but I can't remember the name. It had great food and I think a small dining room in the front and then you would go through the kitchen and it had patio seating and plastic sheets to enclose the patio from the neighborhood. There was a bar (maybe the Maple Leaf) that was nextdoor.

I don't know about the patio/plastic sheets, but the rest of it describes J-I's, so that's it.

Would any of you take winning the Sugar, and in the process confirming Texas is Back, SEC is overrated, ESPN is biased, aggy is no better than their big 12 days, and all that is good from winning that game...

If it meant OU winning the title and Murray winning the Heisman? Just want to get a feel for win-win versus lose-lose mentality on the boards right now.

Obviously one is not dependent on the other, just a hypothetical deal with the devil.

    Yes

  4. We are going in January with a big group for the birthday of one of my wife's friends.  Will be around Magazine St a lot.  I know about Sucre, Shaya, Domenica, District Donuts and La Petite in that area.  Any other good places to eat?  What bars or other things to do in the area?  Probably won't go anywhere super nice on this trip because of the group.
    Not fancy, but damn good:

    Casamento's
    Company Burger

Bouligny Tavern - great bar on Magazine

Pizza Domenica on Magazine is the pizza offshoot of the original Domenica in the Roosevelt.
  5. I can't ever remember the timeline on how the these are announced when the network exercises the option period/window (or whatever the hell it's called).

Anyone know when we will get the time for the WVU game, or do we even know that yet?  Thanks.
