  1. Thanks.  I was thinking that if it were 4th and 10 at the end of the game and all our receivers had equal amounts of separation, Penix is throwing to Odunze for sure.
And that same situation if I were a Texas fan, I think I'd want Ewers to throw it to Mitchell.  But I've only seen a few games.  Just wondering if you guys would agree.

Most likely order, TE Sanders, over the middle Whittington, Mitchell, X.
  2. Which is insane considering how many times we all yelled at Sark to “take the points” on 4th down

Yeah, there should have been at least 4 more attempts.

  3. He wasn't even one of the top 20 kickers in the country according to the Lou Groza Award people. I don't know man, we probably shouldn't get our hopes up for national recognition.

Out of curiosity I looked at NCAA stats and Bert has the most attempts in the nation at 34. The only 2 other PK with more than 30 attempts are Bond at aggy and Hale at OkieSt.

I kind of wonder if Day can survive this. These people are fing nuts. Prominent Buckeyes have said publicly that they’d rather beat Michigan than win a national championship.

He’s dropped 3 straight and half his team is in the portal.

Pretty much why I gave Day to aggy credence. He loses that game next year he's gone. Might as well jump now.

I'm also super impressed with Sark and his staff's ability to identify talent. They just know how to go and get football players. NIL helps and we've started swinging the big recruits in our direction. But damn, having multiple freshman contributing to this run is fucking sweet.

Chris Petersen's UW CFP team was largely Sark's recruits as upperclassmen.

  6. Well I just completed the (almost) month in Port Aransas at IB MaGee.  Surf Fishing was tough with the early cold fronts, but managed to get a few Redfish.  We did a couple long weekends and then I went back to get the rig and do a little more fishing.  Well I finally got into t few fish the evening before I had planned to leave ahead of that big cold front.  The weather was just too good, and I decided to fish in the AM and just Iron man it home on Sunday night.  The good news was I caught a limit of Redfish in the AM.  I could have stayed another night but it was gonna be windy either way, and rainy the next AM.  So got off water at 11:30, got back to trailer to unload 12:15, cleaned Fish at 1:00, washed truck and got gas 1:30, fiinshing all the make ready and I drive right up on the ferry at 3 PM!
Unfortunately at about 4:00 just a few miles south of Refugio I have the exact same image as CoachTex. One of my tires had a flat, and it was a new one!  My TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) kept going off but I kept hitting the ignore button.  By the time I checked it I had like 5 lbs left in the tire.  Then the fun begins!  i am prepared ahd bought a hydraulic jack that popped the wheel right up and got it off.  Then found out that I was about 1/2 inch short of getting the spare on.  So I get the truck jack,  Takes a few minutes to get it in place an up goes the rig a little higher. Great!  Then I realize that from the angle of the truck jack I will not be able to get the jack down once the tire is on! Argh!  So drop it again, replace jack and third times a charm.  Screw on TPMS stem cap and off I go!  Only 45 minutes with the BS.  Then I notice the pressure system says 18 psi.  So I go slow into Refugio, and it takes me three damn stops to find a working air compressor.  With a trailer and exhausted it was more than frustrating.
Woke up at 5:45 to fish and rolled into Austin at 8:45.  This little dilemma is making me either put a cigarette lighter outlet by one set of the tires where the cord will reach to the other side. Or perhaps buy one of those cordless drill looking inflators.  AND I will check the pressure on my spare every trip from now on.  Good news is tire had discount certificate and they put the new tire on in about 5 minutes.  Now I am back and doing some maintenance, and I noticed my 30 amp outlet looks like there was a little arcing.  Apparently the screw tight threads on the outlet are fubar, so likely the connection was not solid at some point. Likely when I was messing with all the connections after getting the power going.  So I need to replace that.
Going to clean the shit out of her, get my maintenance done a
RedfishJettyLimit.thumb.jpeg.a1a1db303e7d7d865086edd03c73ee19.jpegnd reorganize the storage area.  I don't use the trailer near enough, but these months of on and off staying in Port A alone have been worth it.  Otherwise I would not have this fish pic!

I have a Ryobi cordless compressor. Works great.

it is entirely possible that this information is true, but equally as possible that Russia lies about the number it has in service or the number it has in storage. Or, more likely, that the number it has in storage is correct - but very few of them work because parts have been stolen and sold, while the vehicles engines and tires have not been kept up and so they can’t get the damn thing to the front.
Still, this slightly modern version of Katuska is pretty damn deadly when all 40 missiles filled with cluster warheads land in a defined area.

If they were in working condition they's already be at the front.

Schumann is benefitting from just being in Smart's orbit. People around the sport and who know those guys don't see Schumann as some sort of wunderkind. I would love that hire.

Swinney is Jimbo Fisher Part Deux. His folksy shit would work at ATM to an extant, but he's an idiot beyond the schtick and the game has passed him by, even though he's pretty young. He won before the portal and before NIL by creating the whole notion of family and running payments in a high quality bag game through a church and with the help of a $9.95ers helping funnel things. On top of all of this, he'd cost an arm and a leg both in the Clemson buyout and in salary.

They stopped Clemson-ing after Venables arrival and went right back to Clemson-ing after Venables departure.

  9. The thread is TexMex. Not Oaxacan, or Sonoran or chihuahuan or yucatanian. Not Salvadoran, Peruvian, Bolivian, Guatemalan, or Honduran. All fine cuisines, start a thread for them on their own. And in 50 years they will be Americanized for the abundance of this country.

You realize TexMex is a cuisine developed by Mexicans. And still made by old timey Mexican American families. In Fort Worth Jesus BBQ serves great homestyle TexMex and fried chicken. It’s legit. No bbq since the old man died.

In a city with so much Latin cuisine you’re clinging to gringo-ed up version? You’re missing out.

Yeah. He was the heir appareant, but in the new world of NIL and transfer portals, Bama ain't replacing Saban with anybody that might handicap their competitiveness with self-imposed restrictions.

If I'm Dabo, I honestly consider taking my millions and two national championship rings and calling it a career. He's only gonna grow more disenchanted with the college game, and I don't see him as an NFL guy.

Clemsoning stopped after the Venables hire and started right back up with Venables departure.

  11. This thread is so Park cities' money elitist.

Need our Latino posters to tell us where to go west/south of the Trinity with a staff that doesn't speak much if any English. Particularly all the Central American joints.

El Ranchito on Jefferson is where I see all the cops and mail carriers at lunchtime and why I tried it. Delicious.

Which reminds me I need to try Lupita's on Ft Worth Ave as the lot is always packed with Latino contractor trucks at lunch time.

  12. Anyone been to Country Burger in Oak Cliff?  Saw them teased for that Aggy Sunday am Texas Bucket List show next week.

While nearly a year late, frozen crap from a major food supplier. My Cliffy neighbors tell me it used to be good.

Haven’t tried M&M or Skyrocket yet. Liberty in Lakewood is my favorite so far. Tried other Liberty locations and the Lakewood location is the best IMO.
