  1. If you had Velcro shoes she wouldn’t worry so much?

I worked with a guy at a facility where we had to wear FR. Everyday in the locker room I would crack the fuck up when I heard his damn Velcro shoes. Sometimes when we were working nights, I would go get one of his shoes and put it by the mic for the radio and just hold the button down while making that Velcro noise. He would get so pissed at us for fucking with him about those shoes.

  2. My son, wife and I were in the playroom yesterday, playing mario after school.  My phone was sitting on my lap as I was expecting a call.  I start dozing off and all of a sudden I hear my phone ringing but I'm calling someone.  I look up and my 4 year old has my cell phone and is having a conversation with the 911 operator.  He pushed the emergency button on my phone and called 911.
I grabbed the phone from him and explained what happened to the 911 operator.  Apologized as the operator was laughing pretty hard.
    What the fuck, kid?

When my 7 year old was around 2, she called the ABB corporate account manager for my company on a Sunday morning at like 7AM. He thought the world was falling down since I called him on a Sunday until he heard her babbling into the phone. By the time I got the phone from her he had calmed down and was laughing.

He’s retiring this month, I may need to have the girls call him one more time for old times sake.

"These are unprecedented times we are in and all of us in college athletics are facing unexpected circumstances, a lot of change and very difficult decisions. None of it has been easy, and we recognize the impact it's had on so many and are deeply sorry for that. But we also know it's our responsibility to position Texas Athletics to remain solvent, steady and able to perform at the highest level. "

  4. For the 1000th time, it’s looking more and more like kids (especially preschool!) are not very active vectors for transmission of the virus. They also seem to very rarely even get sick from Covid. Your kid will be fine.

Only anecdotal, but our school district with about 18,000 kids in person and idk how many staff has had probably 30-40 cumulative cases between all campuses. Current active cases-13.  The rewards of opening in person schools far outweigh the risks.

What they’re doing in places like Washington DC is criminal.

My kid is not in school right now, so I know she is good. My concern is the next “man” up mentality of the school administration. You have a teacher test positive that has been around the kids and instead of quarantining everyone, you quarantine the teacher and slide another teacher in her place. All because they believe 3 & 4 year olds are wearing their masks and washing their hands.
  5. My kids preschool had a teacher test positive today. In the note that they sent out, they stated that they are not quarantining any of the kids/classes because they are all wearing masks now so no threat of exposure. This could be a complete and utter shit show.

Liberty Eylau quarantined four classes of elementary school kids after two employees tested positive.
