  1. A guy I know here in town has a son Landon’s age. He told me that the last time Landon was over at their house he asked him about recruiting. He said that he was really high on A&M before both Texas and LSU made changes on defense. Since then, he has been all Texas and LSU. He also told me that he thought Landon was leaning Texas. This comes from an LSU fan so tifwiw.

  2. What I'm hearing from superintendents on construction sites around Houston, Austin, DFW is they're having trouble getting some trades to show up for work. The work is definitely still going on, I guess some either don't want to work, or just scared. I'm guessing some are trying to get that extra $600 a week from the feds as well as whatever the state pays. One of my guys tried to do it because he would actually be making an extra $200 a month. Of course he wouldn't have a job when his unemployment ran out. Not sure if he could sue me or not. He claimed he was scared to get out and work, but all that seemed to change when he couldn't get through to claim unemployment.

We just got done with an outage and toward the end we had some begging to be furloughed because they would make more money sitting at home. Dealing with all this during an outage was a bitch, but if our outage was in April/May we may have been in trouble.
  3. if it is only 30% i would be totally shocked. guessing that is for their March numbers? assume their April is going to be even worse
(Baptist has like 12 hospitals state-wide and who knows how many docs)
damn. wonder how they are splitting it furlough wise between their rural facilities vs urban ones...

I would assume it is based on their March numbers. I’m with you, I bet the actual number ends up much higher than 30%. The article is from April 11th.

  4. One of my good friends works offshore and one of the guys he works with and stays in the same room as got sick.  They sent him home and he’s self quarantined away from his family until the guys test comes back witch they said would be 5 days.....

I’m on day 7 of being quarantined away from my family after one of my coworkers was tested and he still has not received his results yet. The testing process is insanely slow right now.
  5. I got sent home from work today due to someone I’m working with being tested for Corona Virus. The doctor told them that it would take six days to get the test results back. I’m isolated at the house and can’t get back into work until we get results back or 14 days has passed. Luckily I do a lot of work from home, but I can’t do everything. Either Corona virus will kill me or my wife will before this is over. I’ll be digging deep into the Netflix thread over the course of the next 6 days.

  6. Ethical dilemma. These reports of hydroxychloroquine being effective look promising but right now it's completely on back order. I'm getting a ton of orders from physicians for it as prophylaxis for them and staff. I have lupus patients who need this drug and I have no idea how long this shortage is going to last. I'm going to save 90 days worth for my patients and the rest I really don't want to dispense unless it's a confirmed positive test. Any problem with my logic? Feel free to shoot holes through this plan. I want the local area to be prepared but I can't leave my lupus patients out high and dry.

My wife is doing the same thing. They have enough for their customers and that’s about it. She said they can’t get it from anywhere now.
