SOC does this every year. They’re a 5AD2 school that routinely schedules the best 6A schools in the entire state. Schools that no one else wants to play. They start the season 1-2 or 0-3 and then cruise to the state championship game, because the 5AD2 playoffs feel like a vacation compared to their impossible non-district.
Their non-district schedule this year is North Shore, Duncanville and Longview.
I really hate how the recruiting services started calling all DEs “Edges”, because now this board uses DT and DL interchangeably. We have a problem specifically with DTs, not DL. There isn’t a team in the country with a better pair of DE commits than us with Lance Jackson and Orogbo.
Because he's not a CB. LSU is taking him because they have no pure CBs in the class, all safeties. LSU said please we will let you play CB, when Texas said you're a safety fit long term. The kid is betting on himself.
Yeah, I understand the situation, that’s why I pointed out we weren’t killing it at CB this class anyway. They could humor him.
I guess I respect the honesty though.
Thank God. The whole “we have no shot if Oregon pursues” bit sucked.
Flipping a kid from Nike U is just about the best thing that could happen for this board.
He’s the star obviously, but not everyone plays well off of Barkley. He’s on NBATV during the finals with a different crew and it’s not nearly as good.
I’m not really complaining about it, but was there really that much of a demand for 20 more football scholarships? If there was, I completely missed it.
Kerr is too interested in not hurting anyone’s feelings. That’s why his rotations have been mostly just subbing all 5 guys out at once. Everyone has to get their minutes, regardless of the flow of the game.
