Don't wish that washed up POS on Bijan.

I’m not wishing him to go to Atlanta.

Was listening to a fantasy football podcast and nearly every fantasy player from Atlanta, Las Vegas, Minnesota, and _______ (?) would have their draft position hold steady or drop if Wilson signed with their team.

No one would benefit from his team signing Wilson.

  3. Atlanta should pick him up and either draft a QB to sit for a year, or strengthen their OL with this year’s great OL class and then draft a QB next year.

I think that Wilson is washed up, signing him will buy time with the fans while they strengthen their line.

  4. They Rock/Paper/Scissors instead of flipping a coin to determine who gets to choose to serve or receive.

    I like that.

Badosa’s jaw dropped after witnessing a Ben Shelton 143 mph ace from court level.  The other players are just sitting on benches next to the players’ benches.

  5. Indian Wells puff mixed doubles tie-breaker challenge thing.

The court is surrounded by a Who’s Who of ATP & WTA names.

Some pairs are from the same country (Poland & Denmark) and some pairs are couples (Tsitsipas & Badosa).

Dammit. I knew I should have gone with mantle. Stupid liberal arts degree

I also have a worthless Liberal Arts degree, but I had a great 8th grade science teacher* who was a bit of a legend at our school.

Most of his former students from 8th grade Earth Science or 12th grade Geology and/or Astronomy classes (semester class each) remember more from his classes than just about any other class they took at our school.

SIDE NOTE: He was talking up the 2024 April 8th total eclipse back in the ‘80s and kept talking about holding a gathering on campus.

Well… the telescope is gone, the on campus planetarium is now more of an IMAX planetarium, and the teacher killed himself in 2012, but the gathering is still happening. 👏👏

*He was an alum and came back to teach because he loved geology & astronomy, we had a planetarium & an observatory with a massive telescope, and he came from money, so he didn’t need to work his ass off.

Well you see, Worthy was still underutilized, as was Mitchell, who also tested extremely well. Sanders was underutilized too, while we’re at it. Oh, and Brooks may be the RB1 in the draft - he too was underutilized. Sark is an idiot, he wasted so many plays.

…is this when we bring up RED ZONE EFFICIENCY?

Or are we supposed to do that on another thread?

Little FTC asked me a hell of a stumper yesterday and I want some input...

"Dad, who was the most popular between Elvis, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles?"

I hemmed and hawed, but he pressed me. I eventually answered The Beatles.

Is that right? Damn that question was a doozy.

Cincinnati sign USMNT defender Yedlin from Inter Miami

FC Cincinnati announced the signing of Inter Miami defender DeAndre Yedlin for $172,799 in General Allocation Money on Monday.

Sources had confirmed the transfer to ESPN's Jeff Carlisle on Sunday.

"We're excited to welcome DeAndre and his family to Cincinnati," Cincinnati GM Chris Albright said. "He is a natural leader who will add valuable experience and quality to our group. We are confident he will be a great fit for us on and off the field, and we look forward to him joining us."

Inter Miami said in a news release that the move gave the club roster flexibility.

"DeAndre has been a leader for us on and off the field, and we're very thankful for everything he has done for Inter Miami. I've known him since his academy days in Seattle, and have been proud to see his success here, including helping the team lift its first trophy," Miami sporting director Chris Henderson said. "This trade gives us the flexibility to continue building our roster. Our ambitions remain high and we will look to use the space created by this move to improve our squad as we aim to compete for titles."

Yedlin, who played for the United States men's national team as recently as last year, will take over at right wing-back in Cincinnati manager Pat Noonan's system. The position needed reinforcing following the offseason departure of Santiago Arias.

For Miami, the move gives the Herons increased salary budget flexibility, given that Yedlin's cap hit was $683,000. In terms of who will replace Yedlin in Miami's lineup, Julian Gressel has played right-back in the past.

Gressel has performed well in the center of Miami's midfield, assisting on two goals so far this season, but new acquisition Federico Redondo is expected to get his U.S. work visa this week, and he is among the options to play in midfield.

The trade also gives Miami flexibility to acquire an additional player should that be deemed necessary.

Inter Miami have been linked with Houston Dynamo defender Franco Escobar.

Yedlin should do plenty to bolster Cincinnati's defense given his breadth of experience.

He broke in with the Seattle Sounders in 2013. The defender went on to play two seasons in Seattle before heading to Europe, first with Tottenham Hotspur and later with Sunderland, Newcastle United and Galatasaray.

He joined up with Inter Miami prior to the 2022 season. All told, Yedlin has made 338 league and cup appearances at the professional level, scoring seven goals.

At the international level, Yedlin has made 81 appearances with the U.S. and was part of the 2014 and 2022 World Cup rosters.

I’m thinking that if you want to play in Miami, it would behoove you to speak Spanish… and not to make pregame speeches.

The women are playing direct and up 3-0 on Colombia. Is this only on ESPN+ in Spanish?

    Paramount+ & ESPNDP

Nice assist by the Colombian to head the ball to the American girl for the shot.

The penalty was about one to two inches from being a shoulder-to-shoulder perfect play by the Colombiana, but it was enough from behind that they didn’t complain too much and the ref will probably live to see the summer.

Sounds like Becton is earning his money.

Did any of the players stay in Austin and train?

Usually the players go to specialty training centers for a month or two to train specifically for the combine.

  13. According to the NFL Network reporter lady on the field at the combine:

Dallas Turner was so athletic. The outside linebacker out of Texas was so impressive.”

She didn’t really bathe herself in glory in her closing segment.

  14. Doing stuff that you love to do until the last year of your life is pretty nice.

Death sucks, but having done what you wanted to in life makes it more palatable.

I'm just fucking with you. Dig until you hit the earth's crust on whatever horrible hot take you've come up with this time. For example, I seem to recall a few "Keontay Ingram reminds me of Jamaal and Kelvontay Dixon looks like Ramonce" posts a few years back. Incredible stuff, really. Then, after you've been thoroughly chewed up, ridiculed, abused, and spit back out, keep heading further down through the magma. It's almost always much more entertaining that way

Seriously though, big props to Harvdog for manning up on this one.

As soon as the shovel hits the dirt, you’ve hit the earth’s crust.

Reminds me of my first couple of weeks at UT hearing a 5th year senior say-

“You're going to turn your way of thinking around 365 degrees.”

…that was when I knew that I had chosen poorly.

  16. The Guendouzi card was just ridiculously horrible refereeing brought in by Pulisic’s CONCACAF abilities

Pulisic obviously deserved a yellow from continually pulling the guy’s arm, but then he gets in front of Guendouzi and then slams on the brakes so that Guendouzi has to put his arms out in front of himself to protect from crashing into Pulisic.

The contact easily allows Pulisic to flail to the ground, but that should have been a yellow on Pulisic only.

Meanwhile the moronic color announcer that bounces from broadcasting company to broadcasting company working the Serie A for whomever owns the rights that season is asking “What is he doing?” about Guendouzi.

Answer: He’s basically protecting himself after being cutoff.

👏👏👏👏 Great shithousery by the Italian-Croatian-American from Hershey, PA.

If there were a 2nd half at the combine, we might see the brakes come out.
