Yes, but the chances of a completion go down considerably when you have 12 defenders.
Correct. But the success of the plan doesn't hinge on you getting called, that's just a 5 yard penalty you're willing to take in exchange for wasting a few seconds. Even better for you if it's not called, so why bring attention to it?

I think you are right about that. Not many contenders, honestly. Kindle maxed out when they spun him down to end full time in 09. Muckelroy was really solid but probably not this impactful. Jordan Hicks was very good, but he struggled to stay healthy and I’ve blocked those teams out. Gary Johnson was pretty good his final year.
Probably?

Playing "wait wait don't tell me" as part of a pregame fire-up session. Brilliant, actually.

"Year 3 of that deal features a renegotiation clause in which either side may request changes for things such as salary or benefits."
I'd love to see how the hell this is drafted. I assume it's just a " the parties agree to negotiate in good faith, yada yada yada,". Basically unenforceable bullshit

The picture on my Costco card is from the early 2000s. Lately they've actually been checking cards to get in and to checkout and each time they have to stop me and look again because the picture looks nothing like me. They must suspect I stole the card of some dude with a full head of hair, only one chin and a spark of joy in his eyes.

Unfortunately, the odds of the SEC runner-up missing the playoffs are essentially zero.
Or they get in as a nice little 8 or 9 seed and we beat them 3 times in a row, each time in more humiliating fashion.

I made the mistake of shaking his hand on 6th street one night (my gf at the time was BFFs with Julie) when he was baked beyond recognition. I'm fairly certain my hand still hurts 25 years later lol
Could the pain be due to all the slapping instead?

Where the hell are that little teenager's SEC rankings? It's the only reason I check this thread anymore.

Cameron Williams at 8 seems ridiculously high especially for a RT.
That was my first thought as well. Though Cleveland drafting Sanders would be so perfectly on brand for them, so maybe this list is accurate?

I made this graph at the end of last season where I plotted the teams that either rank in the top 20 for number of top 25 appearances or rank in the top 20 for number of top 5 appearances. There is almost perfect overlap, with 19 teams appearing in both. The only teams that appear only in one category are aggy (top 20 in top 25 appearances only) and MSU (top 20 in top 5 appearances only).
The top 8 teams stand out from the rest, and are highlighted in blue. The rest of the recent successful programs such as Georgia do not have the same history. Having said that, we need to step up, especially in being top 5. The recent top 5 rankings help.
And about 5:30 on Saturday we will have scoreboard over the other 7 schools in that blue circle.

I was listening to this game on the radio in Simkins dorm. Needless to say that the whole place erupted after this play. One of my friends actually went to that game. When he and some of his colleagues celebrated amongst themselves, some female Arkansas fan just went up to him and spat in his face. To any Longhorn fan going up there, always be careful Arkansas fans are not normal.
I was listening while driving back to my dorm from my grandmother's funeral in New Braunfels. Almost drove off 35 in celebration (not about Oma passing on, but about the play, even we Germans aren't that cold).

Details on a new 247Sports Crystal Ball for five-star ATH Michael Terry IIIVIP
Mike Roach (247 Sports)
Michael Terry III is the highest-rated uncommitted prospect in the state of Texas. The 2025 San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights athlete has been one of the most-watched prospects in the state over the last few months.
At 6-foot-3, 217 pounds, Terry is ranked as the No. 1 athlete in the country and No. 7 athlete in the state of Texas.
Terry has no commitment date set, but he's been open about making a decision during the fall once he's ready. Texas, Nebraska and Oregon are the top three contenders, and Texas leads the way on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. After speaking with sources close to the recruitment, I've decided to enter a pick for the Longhorns.
Texas felt like they emerged as a favorite during the summer with plenty of whispers pointing toward the Longhorns, but there were a couple of small twists in the recruitment during the last couple of months. While it originally looked like a head-to-head battle between Texas and Oregon, Nebraska made a move after hosting Terry in July and again in September.
Terry returned to Austin for the Longhorns' game against UTSA, and is slated to be back when the Longhorns host Georgia on October 19. While there's been talk of a return visit to Eugene to see Oregon, I'm told that this is the only remaining visit on Terry's schedule. Texas has been able to check several boxes for Terry when it comes to proximity, academics and a high level of competitive football. The Longhorns are pitching Terry on a multi-use role that includes playing wide receiver, running back and wildcat quarterback.
Terry is off to a strong start in his senior year with 358 total yards and 8 touchdowns from scrimmage.
The 247Sports Scouting Report on Terry reads as follows:
"Fascinating prospect with a ton of positional versatility. Productive at running back and receiver and could even grow in to a hybrid tight end at the next level. Looked good in limited snaps on defense and would be intriguing as a safety or even off-ball linebacker. Just a rare prospect who could literally play and excel at 4-5 different positions at the next level. At 6-3, he's tall for a running back but runs with good pad level, has some shake and then the speed to run away from a defense. Some players are more quick than fast, Terry is probably more fast than quick but still shows good short area burst and once he gets rolling, you won't catch him from behind. As a pass catcher, looks comfortable catching the ball over a defender and making plays down the field in the passing game. Can continue to improve his polish as a route runner and being more natural with his hands, and once he does, his game will take off to another level. Already a national prospect with the track and multi-sport background we love, upside and long term potential are extremely high."
"At 6-foot-3, 217 pounds, Terry is ranked as the No. 1 athlete in the country and No. 7 athlete in the state of Texas"
Venn diagrams, how do they work?

Sure, but the fever players would be the biggest beneficiary of any such revenue sharing to visitors. Or maybe fever would only break even because their home games are sold out too.

What's so generous of CC to advocate for spot team bonuses for the visiting team? As she's the main visiting team draw, isn't that entirely in her interest? Not saying she doesn't deserve it, just that it's not some selfless act, unless I misunderstand how these spot bonuses would work.
